Another big melodrama - Zaid quits.

Zaid quits race for PKR No 2, all party posts

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has quit the PKR deputy presidential race saying the party "leadership actively condone malpractices and electoral fraud to achieve its designed objectives."
"I wish to announce my withdrawal as a candidate from the contest of deputy president of Parti Keadilan Rakyat and my resignation from all posts held in the party," said Zaid in a statement Monday.
Zaid also resigned as the party's political bureau member, Federal Territory chief and Wangsa Maju chief.
He said he decided to pull out of the No 2 due to blatant vote manipulation.
He said "there is no attempt on the part of the party leadership to address the various issues of manipulation and unfair electoral practices, although these issues were raised repeatedly.
"It is of utmost disappointment that I am unable to continue in this flawed election process," he said.
Earlier, PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail had denied claims of vote manipulation despite numerous complaints of irregularities during divisions as well as central party polls.

Below is the full text of Zaid's statement.

" I wish to announce my withdrawal as a candidate from the contest of Deputy President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat and my resignation from all posts held in the party.
"I was offered to join this party under the belief that I could promote enlightened and progressive politics; nurture and develop principled political values and culture that I consider indispensable to the development of democracy and good governance in this country. I was mistaken.
"Over the course of the party elections, events have shown that the leadership actively condones malpractices and electoral fraud to achieve its designed objectives.
"I am certain that any political party with such hypocritical and false values will not be able to offer meaningful reforms to the people of this country.
"I have made this decision because there is no attempt on the part of the party leadership to address the various issues of manipulation and unfair electoral practices, although these issues were raised repeatedly.
"I wish to thank all the members who have supported me and placed their faith in the cause of reform.
"It is of utmost disappointment that I am unable to continue in this flawed election process.
"I remain committed to the Opposition’s cause and will continue to speak about the issues of the common people.
"Together, we will continue our unabated struggle towards a better government for the people.
"Finally, I hope those adoring fans of Anwar Ibrahim will no longer regard me as a “spoiler” standing in the way of their march to Putrajaya. I wish them well."

tunku : zaid knew very well about pkr before he joined them. he knew all but still joins them.now that he's not getting high post he's quitting. he knows that he won't win the deputy post as azmin is too powerful in pkr with the backing of anwar. may be it is best for zaid to join dap as pas too won't give him any high post and its impossible a person like him would be given a high post in the party. dap would be his best choice as his ideology is similar to them.we hope that dap will give him a high post in the party.

PAS government only provided assistance in areas where the people were mostly their supporters.

Najib Orders Federal Agencies To Come In Aid Of Flood Victims

JITRA, Nov 6 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has instructed all federal government agencies to come in aid of flood victims in Kedah and Perlis.
Conveying the order via a phone call to his political secretary Datuk Shahlan Ismail here, Najib said, there should be no discrimination in the provision of aid and that it should be given to all irrespective of their political affiliations.
"I am aware of how serious the flood situation in Kedah and Perlis and I will do all I can to help the flood victims," he said.
In the phone conversation, Najib, who is recovering from chicken pox, also asked Shahlan about the flood situation and expressed the hope that the people would be patient in facing the calamity.
He also thanked the people for their prayers for his health and speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Shahlan said the Prime Minister's Office was now working with numerous corporations as well as with the Association of Wives of Cabinet Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti) to provide assistance to the flood victims.
Non-governmental organisations would also be roped in to help the victims after the flood subsided, he said.
"We will provide about 10,000 units of gas stoves to the victims in Kedah and Perlis. I am currently dealing with the respective agencies to distribute these items," he said.
Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Mohd Johari Baharom, who was also here to hand over assistance to the victims, said the Muda Agriculture Development Authority and National Security Council would survey damages to crops so that assistance could be given to those affected.
A Kampung Pulau Timbul resident Aishah Hassan, 59, said the assistance provided by the state government was not sufficient.
Another villager, Saad Talib, 49, said most of the assistance were provided by the federal government.
"We are cut off from the outside world," he said, claiming that the state PAS government only provided assistance in areas where the people were mostly their supporters.

tunku : the federal government had gone to the ground from the first day.i had asked few friends in kedah about the situation there and they said that they have not seen any of the pakatan leaders coming to help them out except few places where the people were mostly their supporters.in time of disaster we should not discriminate anyone regardless of the political ideology.the government of the day should help all it's people. pas are not showing the islamic value in them.it is not too late, pas government should provide aid to all kedahans together with the federal government.they should not let the burden on the federal alone.

Guan Eng Barking Up The Wrong Tree, Says Wee Ka Siong

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- "Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is "barking up the wrong tree" by forwarding an application to set up a branch campus of a Taiwanese university to me," said Deputy Education Minister Datuk Wee Ka Siong.
Wee said by right, the application should have been forwarded to the Higher Education Ministry.
However, he said the government had no problems working with any state which wanted to become an education hub but provided there were no political agendas.
"It was not right of Guan Eng to raise the matter with me when I was in Penang recently. However, I have no problems, if he so wishes, to bring him to meet Higher Education Ministry officials over the matter," he said when replying to questions from Yusmadi Yusoff (PKR-Balik Pulau) and Chong Eng (DAP-Bukit Mertajam) in the Dewan Rakyat Tuesday.
Yusmadi and Chong Eng had wanted to know if the federal government was willing to cooperate with the Penang government in making Balik Pulau on the island an education hub.
Meanwhile, to another question from Datuk Siringan Gubat (BN-Ranau), Wee said as of October this year, said the number of teachers from Peninsular Malaysia serving Sabah stood at 8,023 and 2,352 vice versa.

tunku : this shows how smart are these dap mps.they can even differentiate a ministry's role and yet wants to govern the country. as usual they always bark and bark and bark without any action.they are barking at their best as it is their expertise to always bark at the wrong trees and without facts.

Don't Twist Facts On Merdeka Heritage Project - DPM

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin Monday urged the people to refrain from twisting the facts on the Merdeka Heritage Project to be developed by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB).
He pointed out that the project was not funded by the government, adding that the people should not underestimate the wisdom of investment institutions in developing projects that involved the construction of a 100-storey tower.
"Certainly they (PNB) are smart, we should not look down on the wisdom of PNB which has existed for so long and provided lucrative returns to its shareholders.
"I think no one should spin (the facts) unless he has ill intention and perceive it as a project that does not benefit him," he told reporters after opening the BioMalaysia Exhibition and Conference 2010, here today.
Muhyiddin said the project was not merely an iconic project but gave benefits and yielded returns to investors as planned by PNB before developing the mega project. He said those who claimed that the project was a waste because it used public funds did not understand the rationale and planning made by PNB.
"I'm rather disappointed when there are quarters who see the project as a waste. This is not public money but funds belonging to PNB which manages millions of shares. I believe those who do not understand (the project) do not get detailed explanation," he said.
Thus, he called on the PNB management to make clarifications on the project and its direction to the media so that the media could report correct facts.
"I want the PNB management to detail the PNB's future planning. Such plans were probably not explained and thus gave the impression that it is a project that does not bring in profits," he said.
The Merdeka Heritage Project was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak when tabling the Budget 2011 last month and would be developed beside the Merdeka Stadium and Stadium Negara within a 10-year period.
Both the stadiums would be retained as heritage buildings.

tunku : the opposition is twisting the facts that tax payers money are involved in this project.they are not telling people the real facts. pnb should explain in detail about the project which is not only building the tower but also to develop the surrounding area into a new business hub in kl.people should be proud that pnb is investing in this project in our country rather than investing abroad. just look at klcc.lots of people make "noise" at the beginning but now everyone is proud of it except for few lots which will never appreciate and just for the sake of opposing. again we hope that pnb will explain to people in detail about this project comprehensively.

Kelantan treated water lost due to bad governance.

Half of Kelantan's treated water lost to leakage

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 31, 2010): Almost half the total treated water supply in Kelantan last year was lost to leakages and poor water management and services, depriving the state of much needed revenue.
The state recorded a 48.3% loss or 61,567,985 meter cube of its total treated water supply in 2009, according to the Auditor General's Report 2009. The total amount of water loss is also known as Non-Revenue Water (NRW), as the government has to pay for its treatment, but received no income in return.
The Auditor-General's report revealed that the figure is way off the mark of from the state's target of 40%.
Water supply in Kelantan is managed by Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB), a subsidiary of the Kelantan Mentri Besar Corporation, and the report attributed the loss to both physical and commercial factors.
Physical factors which caused the bulk of losses or 43.1%, include leakages from the main and connecting pipes, as well as problems to the water distribution and reticulation system (flow of water from treatment plant to consumers).
Based on customer complaint records in Kota Baru and Pasir Mas, the audit found that AKSB did not meet its customer's charter of providing repair services within 10 hours to two working days.
Instead, it took the contractors from between two to six days to make repairs, causing a significant amount of water loss.
In Pasir Tumboh, there was an elevated water tank that had been leaking for two years.
According to AKSB, the water tank's repair works were delayed due to budget constraints. AKSB said it had resumed repairs in April this year and was scheduled for completion in July.
There is also no proper record of water intake for treatment by AKSB.
AKSB was also plagued with unauthorised consumption of water, inaccuracies in customers' meters and data handling errors.
To improve meter accuracy, last year AKSB replaced 34,036 units with a new "smart model".
The report said that the Kelantan government had in 2008 received RM130 million under the Ninth Malaysia Plan to implement a holistic NRW reduction programme.
The programme involved two major contracts issued by AKSB to an unnamed joint-venture company - for research and implementation of NRW reduction initiatives statewide, and to design and activate a Geographic Information System (GIS).
Work in progress until last year was only at a mere 22.2% and did not meet its target of 28.3%.

tunku : although they receives fund from federal and also from the water supply revenue, still this aksb under the menteri besar corporation had failed miserably to give good water supply to the people of kelantan. they are getting dirty water most of the time. is this a good government? they can't even give the very basic needs of the people. the menteri besar for two decades had failed to give clean and quality water supply to the people.

If Pas gives bribe it's HALAL.

PAS Offers Transportation Cost For Galas Voters

GUA MUSANG, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- PAS has offered to pay the transportation cost for 1,557 voters living outside Kelantan to come to the state to vote in the Galas state by-election on Nov 4.
Kelantan PAS Election Advisor Datuk Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah said the party would pay the voters once they had cast their ballots.
He told a news conference that voters coming back from Johor would be paid RM250 and from the Klang Valley, RM200.
Those staying elsewhere in Kelantan would be paid according to the distance they had to travel to get to the polling stations, he said, adding that the payment was not a bribe.
The Galas by-election is a straight fight between Abdul Aziz Yusoff, 49, of Barisan Nasional (BN) and Dr Zulkefli Mohamed, 44, of PAS, necessitated by the death of the assemblyman, Che Hashim Sulaima (rpt) Sulaima, on Sept 27.

tunku : if it is umno who are giving cash then it's wrong and haram but if it's pas then it's ok and halal.wan abdul rahim said this is not wrong but under section 10, in the election act it is a wrong thing to do.this shows clearly the double standard of pas leaders.whatever they do, it's halal although it's haram.they are munafik.

Zul Noordin claims ‘secret’ PKR, DAP pact to ensure Chinese ruleZul Noordin claims ‘secret’ PKR, DAP pact to ensure Chinese rule

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — Zulkifi Noordin alleged today that there was a “secret contract” between PKR and DAP that will ensure Chinese dominance should Pakatan Rakyat (PR) take over Putrajaya.
The Kulim Bandar-Baharu MP, an ex-PKR MP turned independent critic of the opposition, claimed that even PAS was not aware of the contract in an inflammatory speech in Parliament today.
“The contract promises that Chinese leaders in DAP will be given autonomy in Penang,” said Zulkifli told Parliament during the debate on Budget 2011.
The independent MP who was once closely associated with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim lashed out at DAP, calling it a “chauvinist-infected party” and accused the party of being responsible for the May 13 riots in 1969.
“[Should PR take power] Malay candidates will be put in Negeri Sembilan and Perak. And if they win (in the states), they will pick a menteri besar from DAP to head the states,” he said.
Zulkifli and other independents in Parliament, who were former PR lawmakers, have denied claims that they are Barisan Nasional (BN) supporters, but his speech today echoes the oft used Umno line when attacking PR.
The Kulim-Bandar Baharu MP, however did not provide any details to his accusations as his speech was abruptly cut short by Deputy Speaker Datuk Wan Junaidi Jaafar.
Earlier on in his speech, Zulkifli said that Malaysians needed to be re-educated on the details of the May 13 riots so that they couls be “exposed to the truth” of the DAP.
What the party is doing, is they are playing up the same pattern of inciting racial hatred against the Malays despite being warned by Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj against doing so,” said Zulkifli.
According to him, the country’s first prime minister had warned DAP back then to not “question” Article 153 of the constitution as well as Malay rights.
“And this is exactly what DAP is doing now,” said Zulkifli.
The independent MP also defended Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s recent alleged inflammatory statements during the Umno general assembly, saying that Najib was “misquoted” by opposition.
Najib has come under heavy fire from the opposition for saying that he wanted to defend Putrajaya at all costs, as PR lawmakers have even brought up the matter in Parliament earlier this week.

tunku : actually it is an open secret that dap will be given autonomy in penang if they wins the GE.anwar is willing to do that and some pas leaders are aware of that.that is why karpal is all out to defend anwar in his sodomy case although he knows very well that anwar is a sodomizer. we hope pas leaders like hadi awang, nasharudin will never allow this evil plan to succeed. the malays should realized that dap will ruin them if they come to power with the help of pkr and pas.they will be sidelined forever. wake up and together we unite and fight dap's evil agenda.

Kit Siang still living in the past

Kit Siang labels Budget as ‘Mahathirish’ policy

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — Lim Kit Siang claimed today that Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s Budget 2011 was not a child of his New Economic Model (NEM) but instead “bore the marks of old, discredited Mahathirish policies”.
Addressing Parliament today, the veteran DAP lawmaker argued that it was exactly the policies of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad which had landed Malaysia in the middle-income trap it now finds itself in.
Lim (picture) contended that the Budget proposals was a throwback to the previous Mahathir Administration’s obsession with mega projects.

tunku : Tun Mahathir had resigned 7 years ago but kit siang still talking about him.it looks like he is out of idea. this old man is senile and should retire.he and anwar is out to ruin this country.together they want to divide Malaysia's wealth between them and their cronies.

Dap MP who doesn't understand Malay proverb.

Fong asks PM to explain his Umno speech to Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 — The debate on Budget 2011 at the Dewan Rakyat became heated today when a DAP MP said that the speech of Datuk Seri Najib Razak at the Umno General Assembly had frightened her.
Fong Po Kuan (DAP-Batu Gajah)angered Barisan Nasional MPs when she declared that the Prime Minister and Umno President should explain his utterances.
She was referring to Najib’s call on Umno and Barisan members to defend Putra Jaya, the seat of government, at all costs.
She read out an excerpt of the speech, and said the Prime Minister should be at the Dewan Rakyat to explain his remarks.
Datuk Mohamad Aziz (BN-Sri Gading) rose several times to interject, but Fong refused to give way.
Mohamed persisted, saying: “ I wish to clarify to you ...all those were proverbial phrases meant to lift the spirit. You (Fong) don’t understand Malay proverbs ....No need for explanation on the speech.”
Dewan speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia reminded Mohamed that he could not interject without Fong giving way.
Mohamed later said that Najib had used proverbs to raise the spirit of the Malays. There was never any intention to cause animosity.
“Our Prime Minister is a responsible man,” he said. — Bernama

tunku : this is what Najib said during the speech, "berkecai tulang dan badan, walau bercerai jasad dan nyawa. Saudara dan saudari, walau apapun terjadi, Putrajaya mesti kita pertahankan,” this is just a proverb to raise the spirit of the delegates to work hard but for a person who don't understand malay will think that Najib has ordered the delegates to kill etc . they call themselves Malaysian and yet they don't understand simple Malay phrase.these type of morons should not be the citizen of this country.she think Najib is mad like the pakatan leaders who incite hatred among the people.

Najib should review all the Pak Lah's corridors.

Dewan Rakyat: Calls For NCER To Be Reviewed

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- The government has been urged to study and review the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) programme because many of its projects duplicated those carried out by existing agencies resulting in failure and a waste of funds.
Datuk Mohamad Aziz (BN-Sri Gading) who raised the issue when debating the Supply Bill 2011 (Budget 2011) at the Dewan Rakyat Tuesday said serious attention should be given to the matter to avoid continued wastage.
He said the government must review the programme for the sake of national development where action must be taken if there were failures in its implementation.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, when presenting the Budget 2011 on Oct 15, announced that the NCER had been allocated RM133 million, including for the development of agro product processing centres, tourism infrastructure and biotechnology incubation centres.
The call for the review was also supported by Datuk Ismail Kasim (BN-Arau) who felt that the failure of the NCER projects was due to the fact that appropriate focus was not given to the original agenda to the extent that they hindered the Muda Agricultural Development Area (Mada) and Langakawi Development Authority (Lada) prosects.
"The blueprint that was prepared then was not thorough, resulting in duplication between the projects undertaken by NCER and those by other government agencies in Langkawi, Perak, Penang, Kedah and Perlis," he said when interjecting Mohamad's debate.
Ismail said the NCER should revert to the original blueprint where Sime Darby took the lead role in developing the region as planned by the government.
The house will sit again Wednesday.

tunku : this is what happened when you do something without thorough studies and just for the sake to be popular and with some wrong advices. here corridor, there corridor and at the end of the day we can't see what's the achievement made by these corridors except for the Sarawak's Score.score doing well just because of Bakun otherwise it will be the same like other corridors.where is the corridors advisor? is he still sleeping?

Why non Bumis opposing History as a must-pass subject?

it is a good move that history be made a must-pass subject as the new generation lacked understanding of the nation's history. the youngsters nowadays spend their time in front of computers.they look for a comfortable life but are not well-versed in the country's history.the education ministry said that history would be made a must-pass subject in the SPM examination from 2013 along with the Bahasa Malaysia subject but the non bumis especially those from the opposition party don't agree with the move.to them Malaysia history is not important as they said it only involves the bumis only.well everyone should understand this land earlier was called tanah melayu and obviously they are the people who lives there.while in sabah and sarawak they have indigenous population which made up of some 30 groups.the non bumis came in the later part of the history but they are still part of the history.they should not fear with Malaysia's history if they really love this country.they should be proud of it and happy with the move that history be made a must-pass subject so that everyone in this country knows about the history of the country.we can see in a poll carry out by the star which majority of its readers are non bumis voted whether the agree with the ministry's move or not. 75% opposed it,why? they are simply not patriotic and does not have love for this country.

History a must-pass subject for SPM from 2013

KUALA LUMPUR: History will be a must-pass subject in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination from 2013 along with the Bahasa Malaysia subject, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said.
With the move, students must pass the subject to be able to obtain the SPM certificate, said Muhyiddin, who is the Education Minister.
“We need to give them (students) some time to adjust. We also need time to train teachers and to prepare our students to face the new system," he said in his winding-up speech at the 2010 Umno General Assembly, here Saturday.
He also said that from 2014, history would be made a core subject in primary school under the Primary School Standard Curriculum.
He said the ministry would also make improvement to the subject, with emphasis on enhancing the understanding of the constitution so as to enlighten students about the country's nation-building process.
He also said that the implementation of the school-based assessment system, which would replace the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR), would be brought forward from 2016 to 2014 following calls for the assessment system to be expedited.
"The UPSR (Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah) examination will be retained but will undergo improvement based on current development. But we still need some time to retrain the teachers and so on," he said.
Muhyiddin said the ministry would also channel RM10mil to fund activities of Yayasan Guru Malaysia Berhad, a foundation set up to take care of the welfare of teachers.
"I've brought up this matter with the prime minister and he agrees that RM10mil be channelled to foundation," he said, adding that another foundation, Yayasan Guru Tun Hussein Onn, would be set up, also to care for the welfare of teachers.
"A total of RM200mil of fund will be channelled to the foundation," he added.
He also said that the ministry would implement the Primary School Standard Curriculum with emphasis on hands-on learning, language ability and fun learning, from next year.
The ministry also planned to increase the intake of vocational students to 81,000 students or 20% by 2015 compared to 40,706 students or 10% at the moment, he said.
"A total of RM340mil will be allocated for this purpose under the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP)," he said, adding that four vocational schools would be built during the 10MP (2011-2015).
To enhance competency among vocational teachers, the ministry would train 4,764 teachers to achieve at least Level 3 in the Malaysian Skills Certificate from next year, he added. - Bernama

tunku : it is a brilliant move by the education ministry.every student should know the country's history by heart.they should know and understand thoroughly what is stated in the constitution.by right every citizen of the country should know about our history and constitution. only then we'll be patriotic.

Ensure no group hijacks Umno's role

KUALA LUMPUR: Taking the cue from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's presidential address, most of the 15 debators at the Umno general assembly here over the last two days want the party to ensure that the Malay political base remains strong.
The message sent by the delagates who had debated on the motion of thanks for the presidential address was clear - they wanted Umno to continue to play its role as the defender of Malay rights.
They wanted Umno to make clear its stand on the issue, so that it would not be hijacked by any other group.
Several spoke about the need to make it clear that the Umno general assembly was the biggest platform to address any issues affecting the Malays.
A delegate from Negri Sembilan, Datuk Jalaluddin Alias, said Friday: "This is an assembly of the Malays to discuss Malay issues. What's wrong with me talking to my wife about household affairs?"
"Please do not question our rights. We never questioned others' rights," he said.
A delegate from Puteri Umno, Fahariyah Mohd Nordin, also touched on the issue, saying she was sad that many youths did not understand the Federal Constitution and the significance of the special rights accorded the Malays.
"Many say the rights have nothing to do with them. The young don't seem to see that it is this particular aspect of the Constitution that gave the country political stability since our independence," she said.
Fahariyah also called on the Government to make Malaysian history lessons a compulsory subject so that all shoolchilren would pay heed to local history as they would need to pass in their examinations.
Najib, in his policy speech on Thursday, stressed that the provisions on Malay rights under the Federal Constituion were there to stay.
He said any discussion on the matter would only be academic, as amending the Constitution on this particular issue was next to impossible.

tunku : actually no one is hijacking Umno's role.it is just that certain leaders in Umno forcing them to do so. Umno must not forget it roles, DEMI AGAMA, BANGSA DAN NEGARA. if it champions all that, the whole nation will be protected.every citizen will be protected.leaders like nazri aziz, kj and few others should be shown the exit door. they are the one who create tense in Umno. Umno will be better off without these stooges.anyway,i was pleased and enlightened with Najib's speech yesterday.LOUD AND CLEAR.Hidup Melayu,Hidup Umno,Hidup Malaysia.

KJ still need his father in-law.

A good speech, says Khairy’s father-in-law

UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin’s approach is different but his primary objective remains in tandem with the party’s agenda.
“It’s a very good speech and he’s done well in his address. I think it is a reflection of a political maturity at a very high level to understand the politics of today,” said his father-in-law and former Umno president Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Abdullah who made this observation said Khairy had successfully conveyed the theme of transformation to his grassroots.
“The agenda for change remains a very difficult theme especially in the current political context,” Abdullah told reporters after Khairy’s speech yesterday.

tunku : kj had political maturity at a very high level since his father in-law became the pm.he had controlled malaysia then. together they robbed the country.now he's just trying to be a saint which he is not. he can write very good speech, no doubt but he is not a good person. both of them had put Umno in danger.Umno doest not need kj.

Thorough Study Before Imposing Service Tax On Paid TV

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 (Bernama) -- The Information Communication and Culture Ministry will conduct a thorough study before deciding whether to impose service tax on paid television.
Its minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said an Evaluation Committee had been formed to assess the impact of the proposed move on the household economy and the service provider.
"We will do the study as soon as possible," he said after officiating at the Malam Inspitari 2010, a dance programme organised by the National Culture and Arts Department, here, Wednesday night.
Rais said the paid TV service tax issue should also be looked from the financal burden and number of subscribers of the station providing the paid television service.
When tabling the 2011 Budget recently, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced that the government proposed to impose service tax on paid television.
On promotion of culture to the younger generation, he said all the races should be involved in the performing arts, including dance, to keep them alive for the benefit of current and future generations.

tunku : please do not impose the service tax on paid tv.it will be big burden to the majority of its subscribers.increase the sins tax instead.

SAPP Get Lost

PKR to contest Batu Sapi

KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Rakyat has agreed that Parti Keadilan Rakyat should put up the candidate for the Batu Sapi parliamentary constituency in Sabah.
PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Monday that a recent Pakatan Rakyat meeting in Sabah decided that a PKR candidate "should be given the opportunity to fill the vacancy" following the death of Datuk Chong Ket Wah of PBS in a road accident on Oct 9.
"We will announce the name (of the candidate) shortly," Anwar told reporters at the parliament lobby.
PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang were present.
Nominations have been set for Oct 26 while polling will be held on Nov 4.
Commenting on the statement from SAPP that it would contest the seat, Anwar said he hoped the party would change its mind to allow for a straight fight between PKR and Barisan Nasional.

tunku : they(pakatan) can't even had the courtesy to consult or discuss with sapp who are favouring them.they just ditched sapp aside.pity yong teck lee.he can only talk but anwar has the last say.come on yong teck lee, show that sapp has their pride or else you and your party is just a garbage party that only knows how to talk craps.sapp should fight the Batu Sapi seat not pkr.

Warisan Merdeka

THE Warisan Merdeka landmark, a RM5bil project located within the enclave of Merdeka Stadium and Stadium Negara, will change the city skyline.
Construction of the 100-storey skyscraper, which is part of the mega project, will start next year and is expected to be completed in 2015.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the two stadiums would be retained as national heritage buildings.

tunku : we don't understand why some people are making so much noise on such a beneficial project to our country.we had faced same situation last time when the government wanted to build the penang bridge, proton, klcc , putrajaya etc. after the completion they shut their mouth after seeing it success. before that they said that it will be wasting money, white elephant etc.just imagine how many jobs will be created from this project, how much business activities will be created, how much increases in the income from tourism sector.this is not about the pm's legacy, this is for Malaysia not for Najib.it is just like what Tun Mahathir had made during his time, it is still there for us and for our future generation. we should use our brain instead of our heart.don't just oppose everything without analysing the situation.

Umno General Assembly To Discuss General Election - Abdullah

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18 (Bernama) -- The general election is likely to be heavily discussed at this year's Umno general assembly, said former Prime Minister and Umno President Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi Monday.
"We are going to face the next general election, when is it we do not know, but from what I have heard this party meeting (Umno general assembly) will certainly address important issues to ensure we (Barisan Nasional) will be in power," he said in his speech when hosting an International Forum on Creation of a Global Citizen dinner reception Monday night.
The two-day forum, officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday was attended by 63 representatives from 22 political parties from 22 countries, the Overseas Umno Club (KULN), foreign embassy delegations and political analysts.
The forum was held in conjunction with the 2010 Umno General Assembly which will begin Tuesday.
Abdullah in his speech also said that he believed that Umno leaders had the determination to make the changes despite all the difficulties and challenges.
"If we want to reform, the party too must reform, this is going to be difficult and challenging task for the leaders of the party but I believe that they have the determination to make the changes which are necessary.
"We are now facing the world which is a new reality, a world that is becoming smaller, the world that certainly full with problems and challenges, we know what is happening all over the world because the communication, internet...this is a new world," he said.

tunku : all these problems are created by this sleepy head.during his tenure as the prime minister and president of umno, he had don't so much mistakes that Najib who had inherited a bad government from the sleepy head has to work very very hard to clean them.till now,the dirts are still there.Najib need to work extra hard and we wish he all the best and he has our full supports.

Khalid: I was not pressured to pull out of race

PORT KLANG: Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim has denied that he was pressured by PKR's top leadership to pull out of the race for the party deputy president post.
He also refuted claims that his decision to withdraw from the second highest post in the party was due to lack of support from Selangor PKR.
“Selangor PKR members are in full support for me to challenge the post but after careful consideration and discussion with special committee members - my political secretary Faekah Husin and key Reformasi activist leaders - I am convinced I can achieve my goals best by not contesting any top party posts in these elections,” he said after presenting a RM3mil grant to 57 Chinese schools in Selangor, at SJK(C) Tshing Nian here.
Khalid added that in view of an early general election, he felt that his vital duty is to demonstrate a dynamic, principled and people-centric governance.
“I am confident in the abilities of all the candidates I have seen nominated for top party positions, and am optimistic about their potential to rejuvenate the spirit of Reformasi for the party while, we, in the Selangor state, remain focused in our efforts to realise a genuinely rakyat-centric government,” he said.

tunku : the truth is khalid chicken out.he knew that he won't win the race as azmin's supports is obviously more than him.he can't even beat zaid ibrahim for the race. if he contest, he will definately lose and it will be a great shame for him keeping in mind he's the selangor menteri besar. anwar too had asked him to withdraw and might promised khalid that if they retain selangor in the next GE, he will remain as mb.

Pas is not extremist for protesting against Adam Lambert.

Wee : Pas is extremist

KUALA LUMPUR: The MCA Youth has accused PAS of being “narrow minded and intolerant” for staging a protest against American Idol star Adam Lambert, who performed at a sold-out concert here on Thursday night.
“The demonstration shows the kind of extremism practised by the party,” said MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.
He also expressed regret that PKR and DAP, allies of PAS in the Pakatan Rakyat coalition, had chosen to remain silent on the matter.
A large group of Muslim youths, including PAS Youth members and students representing the All-Malaysian Islamic Students Coalition (Gamis), protested against Lambert, a self-confessed homosexual, outside the Stadium Putra in Bukit Jalil, while the singer gave a highly-charged performance before 10,000 screaming fans inside the stadium.
The group was led by PAS Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan and an exco member, Mohd Firdaus Jaafar, who is also the Jerai MP.
PAS had objected to the concert, claiming that Lambert’s show advocated homosexuality.
The group gathered at the entrance after the maghrib prayers and passed anti-Lambert flyers to those queuing to buy tickets.
Karyawan president Datuk Freddie Fernandez, who also expressed disappointment about the PAS-led protest, said it reflected poorly on the party.
“They should exercise greater moderation,” he said, adding that PAS should understand there were Malaysians who appreciated Lambert’s talents.
Kedah Gerakan chief Tan Keng Liang regretted the action by PAS, saying it was humiliating to the country.
“This is yet another selfish act by PAS.
“They fail to understand that homosexuality is the inherent nature of certain people and clearly not a form of culture,” he added.
PAS had protested against other concerts in the past too.

tunku : i support pas for staging a protest against american idol star adam lambert who is a homosexual but against their double standard on this matter. they should protest of anwar who is a sodomizer as their pakatan leader. the only difference between anwar and lambert is lambert is a homosexual and anwar is a bisexual. both are haram in Islam. they should understand this.

Azmin called Gobala a pariah and Anwar says nothing.

KUALA LUMPUR: The PKR party election saga has taken a new twist with Padang Serai MP N. Gobalakrishan threatening to quit the party unless election irregularities are addressed.
He also accused deputy president aspirant Azmin Ali of manipulation and criticised the election committee, calling it spineless.
He said the committee was not independent and would only make decisions after consulting certain people.
“If the party fails in ensuring democracy and transparency, it is pointless for me to continue,” he told a press conference at the Parliament lobby yesterday.
Asked if Azmin was the power behind the election committee, Gobalakrishnan said: “I think there is no one else but him.”
He claimed that Azmin had been manipulating the party election results and that his working relationship with Kedah and Selangor had suffered because of Azmin.
Gobalakrishnan also accused Selangor executive councillor Xavier Jayakumar of teaming up with Azmin.
He claimed that Xavier’s family members were involved in manipulating the elections in several divisions, including Kelana Jaya and Hulu Selangor.
“Yet, no action has been taken against him. Is it because Azmin had taken him along to Jakarta for a meeting?” he asked.
Azmin, when met later, said the Jakarta meeting with party adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which was also attended by many others, was not a secret as it had been planned months in advance.
He also brushed off Gobalakrishnan’s allegations regarding election manipulation.
“How can I manipulate the votes?
“Every member has one vote and they have to turn up and cast their votes.
“Members of election committees and secretariats are in every division (during the election),” he said.
Azmin said he did not understand why some disgruntled members were using him as a punching bag to vent their frustration.

tunku : how come sivaji the boss did nothing to azmin who had called gobalakrishnan a pariah? how can he take any action on azmin when azmin is his blue eyed boy and they have "special" relationship. after all i believe anwar calls gobala a pariah too behind his back.that is anwar's nature. anwar is among the most racist person in malaysia other than lim kit siang, karpal sing ,lim guan eng(that's why they can stand together) and he had fooled the non malays that he is with them.behind them, he say all sorts of thing and in front them he becomes their saint, their sivaji etc.same goes with the dap leaders.leave pakatan, it is a dynasty party with full of dirts in it.

Conspiracy To Implicate PM And Wife In Sodomy Case - Wee
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 (Bernama) -- The Member of Parliament (MP) for Wangsa Maju, Wee Choo Keong, claims there is a conspiracy to implicate Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, in the sodomy case of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He said this was clearly proven when the contents of the first statutory declaration (SD) signed by Anwar's former private secretary, Muhamad Rahimi Osman on June 29, 2008, did not implicate anyone at all (Najib or Rosmah) in the police report made by Anwar's aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, regarding the sodomy case.
However, he said the second SD signed by Muhamad Rahimi had amended the contents of the first SD and tried to link Najib and Rosmah to the case.
"I had been asked to become the Commissioner for Oaths in Muhamad Rahimi's first SD, and I can say that 100 per cent of what had been said by a certain party had disappeared, the contents did not accuse anyone at all (Najib or Rosmah) of being involved in Saiful's police report," he said at a media conference at the Parliament lobby, here Wednesday.
When asked on the second SD, Wee denied that it was signed on the same day as the first SD, but several days later in his absence.
Wee, who is also a lawyer, emphasised that he had nothing to do whatsoever with Muhamad Rahimi's second SD as claimed by the party's information chief, Latheefa Koya and Kedah PKR Youth head, Saiful Izham Ramli.

tunku : this lady lawyer is equally involved in anwar's sodomy activities. she had made rahimi and rashid signed false SDs. she is the biggest liar.today another ex aide of anwar made a police report that he has been forced to sign the SD prepared by latheefah koya. this guy rashid was a prisoner and anwar's "special massager" in prison. just imagine anwar took him back.....for what? i don't have to tell for what as a functional brain would know why anwar brought rashid back to his house.

Umno Youth Will Use Courteous Approach When Debating Issues

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- Umno Youth will use a courteous approach when debating Malay issues during the party's annual general assembly starting Oct 19.
Information chief Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina said the 13 speakers would be reminded to respect other races to prevent irresponsible groups from twisting their words.
"I will not impose any restriction on what they are going to talk but I will highlight certain concerns," he told a press conference here Monday.
Reezal said debate on issues would reflect the wing's strength and unity.
"We are not going to be racial. As a race-based party, they will be talking on issues that concern the Malays," he added.
The speakers would debate three motions namely the policy address by youth chief Khairi Jamaludin, economy, education and religion.

tunku : we agree that the umno youth should respect other races but in the same time umno youth should not be cowards that they won't dare to ask for the bumis right.they should demand the government to do more for the bumis as bumis are still left very much behind compare to non bumis.when this thing happens then there would be anger and dissatisfaction among the races.right now the economy is controlled by the non bumis which is not fair at all and umno youth should be brave enough to ask and fight for more bumis equity in the economy.the debaters should be only caution on not to condemn or disrespect other races and what is due to them but other than that they are free to speak it out.

We must agree with Chua Soi Lek on needs to review the 30% Bumi Equity.

Chua Reiterates Need To Review 30 Per Cent Bumiputera Equity

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 10 (Bernama) -- MCA chief Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek Sunday reiterated the need for the government to review the 30 per cent Bumiputera equity target in line with the Economic Transformation Plan (ETP).
He said this was also to allow the economic cake of the country to expand further and to achieve its target of high income growth of six per cent annually.
He said the 12 major economic sectors under the National Key Economic Areas (NKEAS) including oil and gas and telecommunication, should also be liberalised.
Speaking to reporters after the conclusion of MCA's 57th annual general meeting at Wisma MCA here, Dr Chua these were crucial elements to quantum leap the country into a high-income developed nation.
"Every Malaysian is the shareholder of the country. So when there is a good economic growth, everybody would get a good slice of the economic cake.
"But if we are unable to liberalise and achieve good economic growth, then the economic cake and the slice that we have would be very limited," he said.
However, Dr Chua stressed that this did not mean "robbing Ali to pay Ah Chong or vice versa".
When asked whether the party was ready to disagree with UMNO on certain national issues, Dr Chua said MCA, as a mono-ethnic political party in a multiracial country, there should always be the need to accept the political varieties of all parties, adding that national interests should be above parties' interests.

tunku : i agree with chua soi lek, lets review the 30 per cent bumiputera equity policy, it is not applicable anymore.the percentage should match the population percentage.that means bumi equity should be at least 60% to be fair.the 30% is not fair to the bumis.chua soi lek, be grateful and look around.

Perkasa Laments It Continues To Be Treated As Punching Bag

KUALA LANGAT, Oct 10 (Bernama) -- Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa) has lamented that the non-governmental organisation (NGO) continues to be treated as a punching bag by certain quarters just because it is defending Malay rights.
Its president Datuk Ibrahim Ali said Perkasa was not a racist or extremist group as labelled by some quarters as it also rejected racism.
"As far as we are concerned, we are only defending Article 143 of the Federal Constitution, besides speaking up on economic issues as this is part of the democratic process," he told reporters after launching the Kuala Langat chapter of Perkasa, here, today. Also present was Kuala Langat Perkasa chairman Datuk Abdul Fatah Iskandar.
Ibrahim was earlier asked to comment on the call by MCA Youth for the Barisan Nasional leadership to separate itself from extremists or extremist groups in the country.
The movement's head Datuk Wee Ka Siong said this move was important in BN's effort to lobby for the people's support and in fulfilling its responsibility of looking after the interests of all communities, so that no group would be marginalised in the development process.
On Wee's statement that MCA Youth respected the social contract and Federal Constitution, Ibrahim asked Wee to give his own definition and explain his understanding of the matter.
Ibrahim who is also Pasir Mas member of parliament, also questioned Wee's stance of only criticising Perkasa's struggle but did not do the same over Hindraf's London-based chairman P. Waythamoorthy questioning the words of caution from the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, on Oct 4 over the issue of raising sensitive issues.
"He (Wee) also did not pressure the government to set up a royal commission of enquiry into claims that DAP leaders had benefited in terms of timber concessions when the opposition pact governed Perak.
"We were also called primitive which we don't mind, as it can also mean 'original' and also because we are only defending Malay rights," the Perkasa leader said.
Asked whether Perkasa had any plans to field a candidate in the next general due to increasing support for the NGO, Ibrahim said they did not think about it as Perkasa was not a political party and its focus was on uniting the Malays.

tunku : it is very obvious now that the malays has no right to defense their right as it is a racist act but others can.this is the new law in malaysia now.wee asked umno and bn to distance itself from group like perkasa, we now demand them to distance themselves from group like dong zong, hindraf etc.they too demand their rights, why they are not labelled as racist and extremist groups.

Sabah MP Edmund Chong Dies In Road Accident

KOTA KINABALU, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- Batu Sapi Member of Parliament Datuk Edmund Chong Ket Wah died in a road accident along Jalan Coastal, Tanjung Aru, at 11.40am today. He was 54.
Chong, who was treasurer-general of Barisan Nasional (BN) component Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), was riding a high-powered motorcycle towards the city centre when he was involved in a collision with a Mercedes Benz car.
Kota Kinabalu police chief ACP Ahmad Sofi Zakaria said Chong's body was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
"We are investigating. Preliminary investigation revealed a dent on the right side of the Mercedes (car) due to a collision," he said when contacted.
Chong, who is a consultant engineer by profession, leaves a wife, Linda Tsen Thau Lin, 54, and four children - three daughters and a son, aged between 13 and 23 years. Two of his children are studying abroad.
In the last general election, in 2008, Chong won the Batu Sapi parliamentary seat by beating independent candidate Chung Kwong Wing by a majority of 3,708 votes. He had garnered 9,479 votes.
Ahmad Sofi said the driver of the car was slightly injured.
Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman described Chong's death as a great loss for the people and state of Sabah.
"He was a dedicated and committed leader in discharging his responsibilities as the Member of Parliament for Batu Sapi," he told reporters when approached at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Musa, who is the State Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman, said he and his family extended condolences to Chong's family and PBS.
PBS President Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, who was also at the hospital, said: "It's very sad for the state and the country, especially PBS. He was my close friend."
"It is something which I never thought would happen. I pray all the time that nothing like this would happen.
"Datuk Edmund Chong, as an MP and the party's treasurer general, had always been concerned about the future of the country and the state," he said, adding that they last met during the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) open day here on Thursday.
Putatan MP Datuk Dr Marcus Mojigoh said he and Chong were to have travelled together tomorrow to Kuala Lumpur to attend the Dewan Rakyat session beginning Monday.
Chong was returning to his house in Taman Likas Jaya from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport after buying his flight ticket when the accident happened, he told reporters at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
"I was told he went to the airport to get his ticket. We were supposed to leave for KL on Sunday together. I believe he wanted to stay at the Legend Hotel where I am also going to put up.
"I did not think this will happen. I had advised him to be careful (when riding the motorcycle). We have all lost a friend and will miss him," said Marcus, who was almost in tears.
Marcus, who is the treasurer-general of Upko (United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation), said Chong was a collector of motorcycles. "It was his hobby. He has got a few motorbikes," he said.
Sabah Resource Development and Information Technology Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai, who is from the PBS, said Chong's death was felt not only by the family but also by the people of Batu Sapi.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department and Sandakan MP Datuk Liew Vui Keong said Chong was well respected by the people of Batu Sapi and Sandakan.
"He also carried out his work efficiently as chairman of the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP) Sabah, which comes under my purview in the Prime Minister's Department.
"It is a great loss to Sandakan, to Sabah and to the nation. At this moment, my thoughts are with his wife and the family who, I pray, will find strength and solace to carry on at this very difficult time of theirs," he said.

May he rest in peace.

Kickdefella may run for Barisan

GEORGE TOWN: Controversial blogger Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz, better known as Kickdefella, is among the names that have cropped up as potential Barisan Nasional candidates.
A former officer with the Kelantan Mentri Besar Incorporated Sdn Bhd, Syed Azidi – who was once perceived to be a close associate of Kelantan PAS Deputy Commissioner II Datuk Husam Musa – had a much-publicised fallout with PAS last year.
His political leanings remains uncertain now, but in recent postings he has been critical of PAS.
When contacted, Syed Azidi, 40, said the choice was left entirely to Kelantan prince Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, who reportedly accepted the role of the Barisan by-election machinery director.
But the Kelantanese filmmaker said it was not necessary for a full-time politician to be selected to contest in the by-election.
Other than Syed Azidi, Umno insiders said the heads of the party’s Gua Musang Wanita and Youth wings Datuk Wan Hazani Mohd Nor and Bazlan Baharuddin were also keen to contest.
For PAS, the party’s Gua Musang area deputy head Dr Zulkifli Mohamed – a doctor – is said to be among the contenders.
He had previously challenged Tengku Razaleigh for the Gua Musang parliamentary seat.

tunku : are they mad, which moron name kickdefella may run for BN ? there are thousands out there who are far better choice out there and more loyal to the party. we hope these so called "umno leaders" who suggest such stupid things to start using their brain or else SHUT UP.

FT Gerakan backs Koh; calls Lim "old and senile"

KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Territory Gerakan has come out in force to back its president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon against former chieftain Tun Dr Lim Keng Yaik’s outbursts since Monday.
State treasurer Alan Chan Fui Gan called Dr Lim’s methods as “old” and “cannot pakai” (no longer applicable).
“I think Tun Lim is getting old and nyanyuk (senile). Maybe his methods cannot pakai anymore. There are changes coming to the party. Let the president handle the changes.
“You can’t force yourself in (to party matters) when you are not welcomed,” he said at a press conference on Wednesday.
State secretary Dr Wong Ruen Yuan said the state liaison committee backed Dr Koh in staying “neutral” from Penang Gerakan’s current leadership crisis.
“He is keeping neutral. Maybe it’s better that he doesn’t attend the EGM (on Oct 10) and let Penang solve its matters democratically,” Dr Wong said.
He added that Dr Koh may hold the position that by attending the state EGM, he could influence its outcome with his presence.
“It’s not that Dr Koh is afraid of attending the EGM but rather it is out of respect and democracy that Penang Gerakan is mature enough to solve its matters,” he added.
Dr Koh is also chairman of Federal Territory Gerakan chairman.
Dr Lim had resigned on Tuesday as party advisor, citing his frustration with Dr Koh’s “soft” handling of the Penang leadership crisis as a major reason.
At a separate press conference, national Gerakan Beliawanis chief Chia Ting Ting announced their acceptance of Youth’s proposal to merge the two wings.
“We strongly support that the Youth wing should be able to accept women youth in order to increase the rate of participation and representation of women in politics,” she said.

tunku : this ignorance will kill off gerakan soon but then again i don't think it will kill off gerakan as such as gerakan is already as good as dead.they forgot how pak lah made the party(umno)in bad position because of his ignorance attitude.learn from the past mistakes, don't repeat it.FT Gerakan too as good as dead, so it is not appropriate to call your ex boss as old and senile, at least the old and senile man made the party alive not like what it is now.

Raja Petra threatens to withdraw support for Pakatan

PETALING JAYA: Self-exiled blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin has threatened to pull out from backing Pakatan Rakyat in the upcoming Galas by-election as he claimed the Opposition had failed to deliver on promises made during the March 2008 general election.
Raja Petra, a supporter of Pakatan Rakyat, made the statement in front of his long-time ally and Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at a dialogue session with Malaysians in London on Saturday.
He was reported by an online news portal to have expressed his unhappiness that Pakatan had yet to perform despite being in power in several states for more than two-and-a-half years.
“We have given Pakatan two-and-a-half years but not a single reform has been implemented. Some can be done immediately, some two years, some in 20 years.
“At least let us see some, then we will be quite happy and we will continue to support Pakatan in every by-election and general election,” he said.
Anwar responded by insisting that the Opposition’s hands were tied as much of the power to implement reforms was centralised in the Federal Government.

tunku : never ever trust these two devils, rpk and anwar. rpk is just trying to get some free ads for himself and the moron anwar as usual will blame the federal government for their failures.if really your hands are tied why made the promises? bloody liars.

Muhyiddin Slams Azmin For Describing Tun Mahathir As 'Fallen Leader'

KOTA KINABALU, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said it was improper for Mohamed Azmin Ali, the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-presidential candidate, to describe Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as a 'fallen leader'(pemimpin tersungkur).
"This should not be the case. In politics, we must have moral values and as human beings we must also have mutual respect.
"Tun Mahathir is a reputable statesman who has contributed much to the country," he said to reporters when asked to comment on the statement by Mohamed Azmin today, describing Tun Dr Mahathir, who is undergoing treatment in Melbourne, Australia for lung infection, as 'a fallen leader'.
Azmin made the sarcastic remark in his speech at the opening of the annual general meeting for the PKR Gombak division on Sunday.
The PKR leader was also quoted as saying that the remark was prompted by Dr Mahathir's collaboration with the Malay right-wing group, Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa), which was alleged to be championing a narrow racial agenda.
Muhyiddin said Azmin should be guided by humanitarian sentiments.
"When Tun Mahathir is unwell and is admitted to hospital, all Malaysians are praying for his speedy recovery and his return home to serve the country in his capacity as a former prime minister.
"So the statement was uncalled for because we have mutual respect for each other. (I) don't know if this is the style of leadership in the PKR," he added.
