Najib should review all the Pak Lah's corridors.

Dewan Rakyat: Calls For NCER To Be Reviewed

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- The government has been urged to study and review the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) programme because many of its projects duplicated those carried out by existing agencies resulting in failure and a waste of funds.
Datuk Mohamad Aziz (BN-Sri Gading) who raised the issue when debating the Supply Bill 2011 (Budget 2011) at the Dewan Rakyat Tuesday said serious attention should be given to the matter to avoid continued wastage.
He said the government must review the programme for the sake of national development where action must be taken if there were failures in its implementation.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, when presenting the Budget 2011 on Oct 15, announced that the NCER had been allocated RM133 million, including for the development of agro product processing centres, tourism infrastructure and biotechnology incubation centres.
The call for the review was also supported by Datuk Ismail Kasim (BN-Arau) who felt that the failure of the NCER projects was due to the fact that appropriate focus was not given to the original agenda to the extent that they hindered the Muda Agricultural Development Area (Mada) and Langakawi Development Authority (Lada) prosects.
"The blueprint that was prepared then was not thorough, resulting in duplication between the projects undertaken by NCER and those by other government agencies in Langkawi, Perak, Penang, Kedah and Perlis," he said when interjecting Mohamad's debate.
Ismail said the NCER should revert to the original blueprint where Sime Darby took the lead role in developing the region as planned by the government.
The house will sit again Wednesday.

tunku : this is what happened when you do something without thorough studies and just for the sake to be popular and with some wrong advices. here corridor, there corridor and at the end of the day we can't see what's the achievement made by these corridors except for the Sarawak's Score.score doing well just because of Bakun otherwise it will be the same like other corridors.where is the corridors advisor? is he still sleeping?

yes...i agree with this post by you...PM should review all the corridors...because we don't hear any progress on this corridors...from my opinion, 'he' should not do a lot of corridors..and 'he' should focus on first corridors which in Johore..Iskandar Malaysia...South Corridor...maybe, 'he' just want to get popularity through this projects...and he think that his name will be on the history of the corridors...

that all my opinion...
