People Come First In My Cabinet Selection, Says Najib

PATTAYA, April 10 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Najib Razak says his choice of his new Cabinet line-up may not be able to satisfy everyone as the most important consideration was the people's well-being.
He said the people must feel happy with the Cabinet.
"It's impossible to satisfy everyone. I seek to satisfy the public first of all," he said when asked about dissatisfaction among some Umno members, including those who won in the recent party elections.
Najib, who is here to attend the 14th Asean Summit and related summits, said he had stressed before that the people must come first, followed by the party and government.
"Still, I took into account party positions as well. It was not that they were completely cast aside...that was not the case."
Najib said this when asked when he would start the familiarisation visit of Asean member countries after taking over the premiership on April 3.
He said before making such visits, he wanted to put several things in order first.
Najib said now that he had named his Cabinet, he would explain and expound to his ministers the emphasis and focus of the new Cabinet.
"I have to give them directions and expectations," he said, adding that he would subsequently look at the political side of the party structure and governmental pos
He said once that was in place, he would start to make his rounds to Asean countries.

tunku : Umno must learn and change their attitude.there should not be any rules that they have to appoint people who won in the party's election.what is important is to appoint someone with credibility, ability, integrity and responsible enough to handle the job and well received by the public. it is the slogan of the new leadership , "People First, Performance Now". i pity the opposition , they are trying their best to anger the umno leaders who have not been appointed especially kj. suddenly kj becomes a gem to them when he is a germ actually.they are saying now that najib is doing the biggest mistake by not appointing kj.actually they got nothing to attack, if najib appoints kj, then they have something to attack. the other thing is now they are making allegation that Tun Mahathir is running the government from behind.what a stupid allegation.tun lah did not listen to him what make you people think that najib will. i mean najib will listen but whatever decision to be made will be najib's as he is the PM not Tun Mahathir.so the opposition should stop making all such stupid nonsence and concentrate developing the states under them.so far they had failed to bring progress in those states. whatever things going on there is the continuation of the previous adminsitration.

yes Tunku...I noticed it in couple of the oppositions blogs that saying the same thing about KJ. I am just speechless with the whole scenario. Now I know how hard it is to please people. Have you seen latest pix of Nizar? Fuuuu, sakitnya hati. Berlagak gila. Well, he is an IR, isn't it? One thing that I noticed in the opposition party...they are educated! UMNO should do the same. Kick the 4th floor people out and get people that really want to work for the people, not the money. Lastly Tunku...keep up your good work!

By the way Tunku, is there by any chance that KJ can still have or influence the new government?
