Appoint Shahrizat As Senator And Minister

KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 (Bernama) -- A senator Wednesday proposed that the new Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil be appointed as a senator and be made the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.
Senator Datuk Nor Hayati Onn said the proposal was so that Shahrizat could be the voice of women under the soon-to-be-new leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
"If (it) can (be done) ask her to re-hold the ministership championed by Wanita Umno.
"This is very important to achieve the goal of having 30 per cent women participation in the country's administration. The defeats of many women in the (Umno) supreme council last week is as if to deny our contribution in the country's leadership," she said in the debate on the motion of thanks for the King's speech.

tunku : i think the best for shahrizat is to concentrate in uniting wanita umno and work 24/7 for the party. comes next election you may contest again and if you win, you will be appointed as minister.right now the umno wings(wanita, youth and puteri) should concentrate on the party rather than involve in the government.show your loyalty and sincerity now.be people's oriented first.

Tunku,

1. I agree with your suggestion.

2. However your suggestion should not only for the
newly elected Wanita chief but also to the other
newly elected office bearers . They have to start
the ball rolling now and strengthen up UMNO.

3. The new UMNO line up may look promising to
the members but we still do not know what is the
actual perception of the rakyat.

4. Already, UMNO is selective in tackling money politic
and giving judgements.

5. Eliminate or reduce factions.

6. UMNO/ BN is still in dire straits. UMNO could not
afford to sit on her laurels.

7. Office bearers in UMNO, should do a post mortem
of the outcome of the 59th UMNO AGM.

8. Ensure those who attended the AGM recently,
conduct meetings with grassroots to disseminate
aspirations of the new President.

9. Do a thorough cleansing from grassroots level right
up to the leaders.

10. Align and straighten UMNO's saf. Restructure if
you must.

11. When UMNO is clean or almost clean inside out,
then begin to move forward and work into the
hearts of the rakyat.

12. UMNO has not much time. She has to work 24/7 in
order to put things right. She has to win the
rakyat's trust and confidence before the next PRU.

13. If everybody in UMNO strived for the better,
is sincere in their hearts, and relentless in their
efforts , then Allah swt will take it from there.
InsyAllah.

Assalamulaikum Tunku,

I very much agree with yur suggestion. Lt Dr Ng Yen Yen continue with the existing portfolio. Sharizat appointment as SpecialA dvisor to the PM terminated. Concentrate in strengthening Wanita. Win back Lembah Pantai from Nurizah. If you see Lembah Pantai now is neither here nor there.
