Cabinet: A most challenging job, says Mustapa

PETALING JAYA: Attracting foreign investments in the current lacklustre economic scenario is no small feat, but newly appointed International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed is prepared to face the challenge.
“This is the most challenging job in the most challenging of times. But I am prepared for it and will do my best,” he said of his new appointment.
Mustapa, 54, thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak for the confidence shown in him.
“I am also aware that this position comes with a heavy responsibility,” he added.
Mustapa received the highest votes among the 25 elected supreme council members in the recent Umno election.
He graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia with a first class honours degree in Economics and from the University of Boston, US with a Masters in economic development. In 1997, he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Commerce by the University of Melbourne.

tunku : mustapa mohamed, what can i say about this man.i admire him a lot. he is a man that talk less and works more.he is too brilliant as an administration, economist etc.may be in politics he is a bit slow but during the umno election he got the highest vote for MT. that shows people do appreciate a person like him.without talking all the time, without money politics he gained the highest vote.he has no bad history, no scandals.his records are clean.i hope tok pa will be the pm of malaysia one day.he should be.all the best tok pa.i believe miti will do best having you as the boss.
