Afternoon rain and thunderstorms might just put a damper on those who
are thinking of heading to the polls after a lazy Sunday morning.
Voters are encouraged to bring their umbrellas as the Malaysian Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms and rain in 109 of the 222 parliamentary constituencies Sunday afternoon.
Thunderstorms are forecast in the afternoon for the entire Federal
Territory, Selangor and Negri Sembilan; the majority of Kedah, Pahang,
Sarawak; and parts of Kelantan and Terengganu.
Johor and Sabah is expected to have a mix of fair or cloudy weather, showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Penang, Perlis and Malacca are expected to have showers or fair weather
while Perak would either be rainy or cloudy throughout the day.
According to the weather forecast, 44 of the 222 constituencies would
have showers in the afternoon, 21 would have cloudy weather while the
remaining areas are expected to have fair weather.
The weather
forecast for the morning was less gloomy with most areas in the country
predicted to have sunny or cloudy skies except for 26 constituencies,
which are expected to have rain.
