Any demand for change in the country must be based on the Federal Constitution and the rule of law, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
It
is not necessary for Malaysians to take to the street or "tear down"
all that have been built by the country's forefathers to achieve
whatever aspirations that may not be in line with the Government of the
day, he said.
"If we demand change, it must follow the constitution and the rule of law.
"If
not, we will end up following the law of the jungle and that will
destroy all that has been built by our leaders in the past," he said
when opening the Putrajaya Youth Festival 2013 here.
