Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun
Razak today said Indian students would fill 1,500 matriculation places
for the 2013/2014 intake, up by 1,000 as promised.
"Our commitment is that no one is left behind," he said via his Twitter account @NajibRazak today.
According to a statement from the Education Ministry, 6,100
applications had been received. The selection of students for the
matriculation course is based on academic and co-curriculum merit.
Students who fail to be accepted can appeal via the channels provided
by the ministry such as http://www.moe.my/bmkpm or email to
pengarah@bm.matrik.edu.my.
Alternatively, they can go to the Rayuan Kemasukan Program Matrikulasi
KPM counter, Ground Floor, Block E 15, Pusat Pentadbiran Kerajaan
Persekutuan, Putrajaya or call 03-8884 4083/4040/4036 between 8.30am and
4.30pm.
The decision on the applicants' appeal can be checked from this June 6.
The availability of places for them depends on the rejection by those
who were offered places or who do not turn up to register on
registration day.
