DAP's Seremban MP Anthony Loke said that Abdul Rahman's officers told him that they had discussed the matter with TV3 and set the date for April 19.
"We agreed to the date but set the condition that the debate should be hosted live," said Loke, saying that TV3 had offered to host the debate at a 9pm primetime slot in its studio.
RTM had originally offered to host the debate on that day but had been requested by TV3 to let them carry the debate.
Loke, who is also DAP organising secretary, said that as of now, he had not received any further contact from TV3 and Abdul Rahman but was continuing with preparations for the debate.
"The only thing we haven't talked about is who will be the moderator and also the format of the debate," he said.
He added that at least a one-hour timeslot would be needed to answer all the questions, adding that it would be good if more time could be allocated.
Earlier this week, Lim and Abdul Rahman had shared fifteen questions each for the debate and Loke wanted there to be enough time to cover all of them.
Last week, Abdul Rahman challenged Lim to debate on the Taman Manggis land issue to which Lim agreed, adding that it would be a public debate.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) special committee on corruption (SCC), however, wanted the debate cancelled due to the ongoing investigations on the issue.
However, Loke said that this was merely an advisory and that he had not heard anything further from the MACC.

I feel it is uneccesary to hold public debate between any body with LGE as investigation by SPRM is in progress.What are they up-to in this debate as any crime should be dealt by a court of law and not determined through public debate including in the media. Therefore I urge SPRM or even Tuan Speaker Dewan Rakyat should stop the move (for a debate).
