As Betty Chew, ADUN Kota Laksamana was asked by the Hall regarding the claim on her husband's scandal, Lim Guan Eng, with his former special officer, Ng Phaik Kheng, Betty Chew then responded by leaving the hall in rage, without answering the question.
Her actions had caused anger among rakyat because not only she did not make any explanation, the actions made by Betty also did not show her capacity as a politician.
Betty threw her tantrum at Datuk Gan Tian Loo who raised the matter in the hall by saying 'shame on you’, she even said the same thing to the Speaker.
Who is the one who should be ashamed here?
Betty Chew should be the who should be ashamed for being immature and unprofessional in tackling this matter. If she wishes the public to see this as a private matter, she should have first resign from being a politician.
Even DAP constantly attack their enemies with personal matters, so why there should be any double-standard when the same thing happens to them? Isn't it enough that they had shown double-standard in the state which DAP rule, does DAP want to show that they practice double-standard in every form?
Perhaps realizing that her responses did not help DAP and her husband, Betty Chew and Guan Eng finally came up officially to 'clean up' their names. Betty denied that her husband has a scandal and denied that she had attacked Phaik Kheng or her husband.
But, once again Betty took the wrong move because in her defense statement, she linked the personal issue of MCA President, Dato’ Seri Chua Soi Lek on his scandal a little while back. Betty also linked the mane of Dato’ Seri Chua's wife, Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin who has nothing to do with politics, and asks Soi Lek to not prolong the scandal issue of Lim Guan Eng. The funnier bit is when she asked Datin Seri Wong to tell rakyat to reject MCA because of the scandal.
Before giving advise to anyone else, Betty should have make a decision whether it is wise to politicize personal scandals. Why wasn't DAP attacked when it comes to scandal but MCA was attacked?
Then, Betty should look at the difference between herself and Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin where they are two very different people. Datin Seri Wong is not a politician and she had shown how strong she is compared to Betty when it comes to facing such issue. She did not go berserk when asked about it. Instead, just like her husband, she showed maturity, admitting the issue and tried their best to fix their marriage.
Instead, Betty took the time to deny the claim on Guan Eng's scandal which may have been a little too late. Rakyat's doubt are actually added, especially with Betty's response.
Things gets worse for Betty as Phaik Kheng also gave the same kind of response where she did not really give any answer. Instead, she asked for Betty to explain everything.
That is why we should advise Betty to think before she say anything. rather than advising Datin Seri Wong who is mature in every manner, Betty should have provide advice to Wan Azizah, the wife of the Opposition Leader, Anwar Ibrahim.
What kind of woman would stay with a bisexual who is involved in multiple scandals? What kind of woman would ask rakyat to support her husband who cannot deny sex with a man even though it was a trap set by Singapore agents? What kind of woman asks rakyat to support her husband who is clearly a liar and a traitor to the country?
Betty Chew do not need to harass Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin just because she is desperate to defend herself from the eyes of the public.
Whatever it is, every Malaysian knew that Datin Seri Wong's husband is not a liar, but Betty Chew's husband, just like Wan Azizah's husband, do have scandals but they would never want to admit it. Instead, they would lie, and twist things for the sake of power.
tunku : one from pkr and one from dap, now we need one from pas to complete the dramas in pakatan. they will never admit any of their husbands wrongdoings because of the ambition to rule the nation. they damn care what their husbands involved in......shame on you betty and wan azizah.
