Foreign Organisation Has Hidden Agenda To Fund Illegal Rally - Analyst

KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 (Bernama) -- The move by foreign organisation National Democratic Institute (NDI) to channel funds for the illegal rally scheduled on July 9, contains a hidden agenda, says political analyst Professor Dr Azmi Hassan.
The director (international studies) at the Centre for Technology Policy and International Studies, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, said NDI was financing the illegal gathering with the aim of toppling the current government and replace it with its own "puppet" government.
"Its objective, perhaps, is to fight for democracy in countries under its assistance, but in Malaysia, it is not appropriate because democracy is alive and there is no restriction for the people and politicians," he said when contacted by Bernama Wednesday.
NDI is one of four branches of the National Endowment of Democracy (NED), a United States-based non-governmental organisation led by a Jew, Carl Gershman.
The other three NED branches are the International Republican Institute, American Center for International Labor Solidarity and the Center for International Private Enterprise.
Illegal rally chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan recently admitted to receiving some funds from NDI and the Open Society Institute, but said they were for other projects and not for the rally.
Azmi also did not rule out the possibility of NDI acting as a consultant for the organiser of the illegal rally.
Prior to this, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's former private secretary, Mohd Rahimi Osman, had exposed a letter from the Opposition leader, requesting for funds from NED for the 2008 general election.
NDI also confirmed having organised workshops, with the collaboration of a Malaysian non-governmental organisation headed by a DAP member of parliament, Liew Chin Tong.
This was confirmed by another of Anwar's former private secretary, Anuar Shaari.
"They finance party programmes, for politics or social, train young PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) leaders, and also sponsor them for courses in the United States of America," he said.

tunku : millions have been spent on this illegal rally planning and millions more will be spend.from where the money is coming? of course some organization and individuals are sponsoring it.that shows clearly that this illegal rally is not to hand over memo to the King but more to out throw the present government thru illegal way. so police please take serious and tough action against those who participates.

Use Israk Mikraj To Create Excellent Muslim Character - Najib

KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 (Bernama) - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has urged Muslims to use Israk Mikraj in shaping excellent Muslim character and a pillar of strength to Muslims.
"May Muslims fully appreciate the event to make us the best in pioneering unity through racial and religious diversity. Excellent Muslim character will create the unity spirit and bring peace to the nation.
"Without it, Muslims become weak, like division, not concerned with harmony, and even hate peace," he said in his Israk Mikraj greetings to Muslims in his blog www.1malaysia.com.my
He asked Muslims to take lessons from Prophet Muhammad's Israk Mikraj journey to guide the nation towards achieving Vision 2020.
"We are implementing the Government Transformation Programme and Economic Transformation Programme in various fields.
"This is proof of progress and the government commitment to develop the nation. Transformation requires courage and change in mindset and extraordinary achievement."
Israk Mikraj was a gift to Prophet Muhammad's glory and the miracle is proof of Allah's power.
Israk was the prophet's journey from Grand Mosque in Mecca to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine accompanied by angels Jibrail and Israfil.
Mikraj was the prophets's ascension to the sky accompanied by Jibrail to meet Allah.
Najib said at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Allah showed the leadership qualities of the prophet in strengtening the faith among other prophets.
"He became the imam in prayers not just for certain races or nations, but to the whole of mankind from different ethnics and tribes.
The two mosques are close to the heart of Muslims as Al-Aqsa Mosque was the first qiblah ( direction) in prayers before it was changed to the Grand Mosque. "Muslims must fight for the Palestinian cause to free them from the cruel Israeli regime."
The second most important lesson form Israk Mikraj was Allah's command of five prayers daily for Muslims.

Another clip linked to sex video surfaces

KUALA LUMPUR: Another clip linking the purported controversial sex video, allegedly featuring Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, surfaced on several blogs Tuesday.
The latest 1:59-minute clip shows Sungai Petani MP Datuk Johari Abdul viewing the video with the Datuk T trio of Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik and Datuk Shuaib Abdul Lazim.
The heading of the clip claimed that Johari had admitted it was Anwar in the sex video. It was believed to have been shown shortly after a private screening of the sex video in Kuala Lumpur on March 21.
The trio were said to have invited Johari to view the video with the latter seen laughing and joking with the three men in the clip.
Also in the clip is Shazryl showing the "Omega" watch, purportedly belonging to Anwar, to Johari.
Following the screening of the sex video, Johari has been adamant that the man in the video was not Anwar.
Shazryl, a businessman and Shuaib, the former Perkasa treasurer-general, were charged at the magistrates' court here on June 24 for openly displaying an obscene film at Carcosa Seri Negara on March 21, this year.
Rahim, the former Malacca Chief Minister, was charged with abetting them.
All three pleaded guilty to the charges under Section 292 of the Penal Code and were fined slapped with fines totalling RM5,500.
Meanwhile, Johari has refuted allegations on a blog that he had asked for money in exchange for bringing more PKR MPs to watch the video and quit the party.
He also insisted that Anwar was innocent, despite claims by the same blog that he had admitted Anwar was the man in the sex video.
"I have a clean conscience. I stand by my words that it is not Anwar in the video," he told reporters who surrounded him in Parliament Tuesday.
Johari had released a 40-minute video on Saturday to debunk claims that Anwar was the man in the sex video.

tunku : johari abdul should be ashamed of himself. he is a leader without morale.money is everything to him.what a liar.

Lim Kit Siang confidence of pakatan winning the next GE.

Pakatan hopes to bag 11 states in general election

PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Rakyat has set its sights on controlling 11 states in the next general election, said DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang.
He said Pakatan had decided on three targets to retain Penang, Kedah, Kelantan and Selangor; win back Perak; and form governments in Johor, Negri Sembilan, Malacca, Pahang, Terengganu and Perlis.
Dubbing the upcoming election as the “battle of the century”, Lim said it was not just state governments but federal power that would be at stake.
He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was fully aware of the stakes involved and that a “5% swing in votes” would see Pakatan taking over Putrajaya.
“This is why Najib reminded the Selayang Umno division today (Saturday) that in a general election there is no such thing as a runner-up,” he said in his speech during a dinner in Teluk Intan on Saturday night. The speech was posted on his blog and copies sent to the media.
Lim claimed this was why Umno and Barisan leaders were “so panicky” about the Bersih 2.0 rally, fearing it might be more successful than the first.

tunku : it is very simple, if lim kit siang is confidence that they can take over Putrajaya why want to have the illegal "bersih" rally then? who is acting panic here, the BN or the pakatan? i am sure pakatan will get more support if they do not stage this stupid illegal rally. this rally is just to create tense so that government will have to divert their attention to this rally than developing and administrating the country well and at the same time hoping it will turn another egypt.WAKE UP PEOPLE, we are not like egypt and we are doing well now. do not put this country in the dogs(pakatan) hand.we will be in chaos.for lim kit siang info, this time there are more anti "bersih" rally voices than the previous one. dap is hoping this rally to turn out as a battle ground.at the end it is the Malay lost.think about it.this is dap's dirty agenda.

PPP Willing To Give Up Seats To Ensure BN Victories - Kayveas

KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 (Bernama) -- The People's Progressive Party (PPP) is willing to give the two seats it contested in the 2008 general election (GE) to other Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties if they can guarantee victory for the coalition in the next GE, said its president Datuk Seri M. Kayveas.
He said as the political landscape in the country had changed, PPP was willing to do this rather than feel humiliated should it not be able to win the seats in the next GE.
"In fact, if the Prime Minister says Kayveas you need not stand for election (in the next GE) I will abide by what he says," he told reporters after PPP's 58th general assembly here Sunday.
The assembly was opened by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
In the 2008 GE, PPP lost both seats allocated to it, Kayveas the Taiping parliamentary seat and the Pasir Berdamar state seat which was contested by Lee Heng. Both seats were lost to candidates from the DAP.
Kayveas added that even if PPP was not given any seat to contest in the next GE, the party would still remain solidly behind the BN.

tunku : this is the spirit that we want. well done PPP. BN needs winnable candidates to win the next GE.it is very crucial time and we cant divide the seats base on quota.like kayveas said, the seats should be given to the candidate that can ensure victory for BN.

Khairy gets death threat over July 9 rally

PETALING JAYA: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and secretary Datuk Megat Firdouz Megat Junid are the latest individuals to have received death threats in connection to the planned July 9 rally.
Khairy, who received the SMS death threat at 12.18am Sunday, condemned it as a “cowardly” action.
He expressed disappointment that there were certain parties who wanted to provoke Umno Youth.
“But [we are] all the more resolved to carry on. We will not be threatened by cowardly threats,” he told The Star in an SMS interview before leaving on a flight to Gaza.
Khairy, who tweeted that he had received a disturbing text message at 8.17am, said he did not want to speculate on who sent the SMS.
However, he said the message could have been intended to either intimidate Umno Youth to cancel its plans or provoke members to be violent at the rally.
“Could be either intention,” he said.
When contacted at 11am Sunday, Megat Firdouz said he was on the way to lodge a police report in Putrajaya.
He said he did not understand why other parties were trying to stop Umno Youth from marching on July 9.
“This shouldn't be happening. We are holding a peaceful rally and we're not going to fight anybody,” he said, adding that he had received the SMS at 1.13am on Sunday.
He said the party would abide by its modus operandi of conducting a peaceful, well-mannered march despite any attempt to instigate it to violence.
Bersih 2.0 chairperson Datuk S. Ambiga and several others had received death threats earlier this week warning them against the “Walk for Democracy” rally on July 9.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein had said he would personally ensure the police investigated the matter.
Bersih 2.0, Umno Youth and Perkasa have announced their intention to take to the streets in three separate illegal rallies on July 9.

tunku: the police should keep those received death threat in their custody until the illegal march is over. this is the best option.what say you?

Is The Election System Really Corrupt?

KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- When the Election Commission (EC)chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof, told the organizer of the July 9 illegal assembly not to make the commission a scapegoat, some accused the Commission of being politically motivated.
They accused the EC of acting to protect the government and manipulating the election results in favor of the ruling party.
Meanwhile, the organizer is going ahead with the illegal street demonstration on July 9, despite strong condemnation from many quarters who are opposed to the idea.
The group has made eight demands, which they say will ensure clean and transparent general elections.
These are, a clean-up of the electoral roll, reforms to the postal voting system, use of indelible ink for voters, permission to campaign for at least 21 days, free and fair access to the media, strengthening of public institutions, and an end to corruption and dirty politics.
Are their demands justified and genuine? Also, was our election system that corrupt? Many believe these demands simply camouflage the organizer's malafide intentions.
The Election Commission (EC) was prepared to meet Bersih again to discuss the issues, as they believed street demonstrations would not solve any problem, or lead to amendments to the law.
EC chairman, Abdul Aziz, told Bernama that the EC met with the organizing chairman of the illegal assembly, Datuk S. Ambiga, and some of its members at the end of last year, where they accepted the EC's explanation of the issues.
He had also discussed the eight issues, including the need to first amend the law.
"If Bersih was really championing democracy, they could still discuss the issues with EC and forward their requests the proper way.
"This is not the way. Don't make EC the scapegoat. They have accused us of not being democratic and clean, and of helping and supporting the government. But the past general elections and by-elections have proven otherwise," explained Abdul Aziz.
"If voters like the opposition, they will win (seats) and there has been proof of this. So, what is their (Bersih's) real intention? I think we (EC) are fair and just," added Abdul Aziz.
Some politicians also questioned the intentions of the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih), in demanding clean elections.
Member of Parliament for Kulim Bandar-Baru, Datuk Zulkifli Noordin, said in his blog that although the seven demands made by the group seem appropriate to address a flawed election system, the question remains whether the allegations have any truth to them.
"We are not saying that the elections we have had thus far were perfect. There were still flaws, just like those in the other countries," he said.
Citing the recently concluded elections in Turkey as an example, he said although the AK Party (Justice and Development Party) was very popular, it only received 50 per cent of votes.
AKP won about 326 seats in the 550-seat parliament, failing to secure the two-thirds majority (367 seats) it needed to make unilateral changes to the constitution.
He said the same happened in India, Australia and United States, among other countries that had flaws in their election systems.
"But, if they say it was not clean, if there was dirty play, how could they (the opposition) have gotten five states and almost flooded the parliament with their people?," he asked.
Zulkifli said that, in fact, the opposition managed to deny Barisan Nasional (BN) a two-thirds majority, and had plenty of opportunity to raise the matter through parliamentary motions, questions, debates on the King's speech and the budget.
"They have not produced any proof of what they claim as unclean. They just want to have a gathering, want to slant people's thinking that the election process is not clean. We dispute the way they are going about it," he said.
He also pointed out that if the organizer of the illegal rally had wanted to submit a memorandum to the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, it could have taken an appointment with Istana Negara, which it failed to do.
"So, we can see that, behind all this, they have other agendas. Their intention was something else. I believed those people have a malafide (malicious) agenda," he said.
"Just look at their response when I posted this idea on my Facebook and Twitter. Anwar's supporters said they would "fill the streets with blood it will be another Tahrir (referring to the infamous bloody gathering in down town Cairo that brought down President Hosni Mubarak)," he added.
He argued that if Bersih wanted to correct the election system, they ought to seek amendments to the election law, rather than hold the EC responsible.
"It is unbecoming of the Chairman of Bersih, who was once the Chairman of the Bar Council, to not understand what the EC cannot do... that it cannot amend the Federal Constitution. If they want to change it, bring it up in the parliament.
"We can see that they never intended to do that," he said.

tunku : it has nothing to do with election system.it is just to create tense and chaos in the country. they know that they will not win the election, so they resort to this dirty tactic. it is all the idea of dap and the moron anwar ibrahim.if there is something wrong with the election system, they would never had captured 5 states.it's all nonsense.things are getting uglier day by day in Malaysia.the authority have to act fast and tough.

Dap racist and arrogant

DAP Sarawak Stirs Racial Issue

KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- The Sarawak DAP's refusal to don the ceremonial attire and headgear or 'songkok' during the opening of the Sarawak State Assembly sitting boils back to its practice of inciting racial sentiments among the Chinese society in the country, said MCA secretary-general Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha.
He said in the past, the DAP never failed to condemn the MCA for donning the headgear or songkok during the opening ceremony of any legislative assembly be it at Parliament or at the state level.
"The DAP never could comprehend that wearing the songkok was in line with decorum and respect and had nothing to do with bowing to racial hegemony. Wearing the songkok should not be dragged into a racial argument which the DAP seems to be fanning," he said in a statement issued here today.
He said while the Selangor and Penang DAP had backed down from their past ways of refusing to put on the songkok, Sarawak DAP remained obstinate in rejecting the songkok and blaming it on the Speaker's previous ruling.
"Within the opposition itself, its leaders do not hold common values. This lack of cohesion is more obvious between DAP and PKR Sarawak where PKR opted to wear the songkok," he said.
Kong, who is also Transport Minister said if for such a simple matter DAP and PKR were unable to reach a clear understanding, both parties would not be able to work as a team and unlikely capable of taking over the federal government.
"The acrimony between DAP Sarawak's (chairman) Wong Ho Leng and PKR Sarawak's (Chief) Baru Bian is no secret when Wong betrayed and removed Baru Bian as the 'shadow opposition leader' despite touting him as the next Chief Minister during the state election campaign," he said.
Therefore, Kong said, it would be interesting to see what the main body of PAS and PKR had to say regarding their partner DAP's inconsistency on donning the songkok as the PAS Youth had openly chided DAP Sarawak for not wearing the ceremonial attire and headgear (Songkok) during the opening ceremony.
"Considering the divergent ideologies that all three Pakatan Rakyat parties hold, one can't help foresee instability within the civil service and among the rakyat throughout the country as the opposition would be issuing conflicting instructions at every occasion and policy," he said.
During the opening ceremony for the first Sarawak assembly sitting after the April 16 state election, the 12 newly-elected DAP representatives turned up in dark suites unlike the other elected representatives who were in full ceremonial attire and headgear.
The state DAP claimed that they decided not to wear the ceremonial attire as such attire would cost about RM2,000 a piece.

tunku : as usual dap is a bloody racist and arrogant party.what is there to wear songkok? songkok is not a religious attire, it is the malay traditional and also national attire.this is just to show that how arrogant they are.they are acting like this because they know that pas and pkr are with them and won't dare to say anything to them.just look at the photo above of this comment, how nga kor ming can enter to a malay house with his shoes on.i guess even in non malay house in malaysia you don't wear shoes nowadays.

Cheaper grocery items at Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak launched the first of many 1Malaysia shops in the country, designed to help bring down the prices of goods and ease the burden of the common man.
He noted that the launch of the shop showed that the 1Malaysia concept was not just a slogan but it took care of the people's basic needs.
Najib said that as the country marched towards becoming a developed nation, the Government still ensured the people were taken care of.
“It is (1Malaysia) not ceremonial, rhetoric or something distant. It has moved forward to offering the people products and services that meet their needs,” he said at the launch of Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia at the Kelana Jaya LRT station here yesterday. The shop would operate from 7am until 11pm.

tunku : we hope more of this kind of shop opens throughout Malaysia.if possible every town should have at least one store. thanks to Mydin for doing good deed.we need more people like them.we know that certain quarters (businessman) are purposely pushing up the prices of goods just to make the public angry at the government.they have their secret agendas.(with oppositions).

Gerakan Wants Government To Punish Ibrahim Ali

GEORGE TOWN, June 21 (Bernama) -- Penang Gerakan Chief Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan wants the government to punish the president of Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa) Datuk Ibrahim Ali because he frequently makes racial statements that cause tension, uneasiness and stress to the Chinese community.
Teng, who is also the Gerakan vice-president, said the government should immediately take steps, especially during this politically challenging time, to stop any individual or organization from making racist statements.
"The government should punish him and charge him under the Sedition Act, all the racist statements can stoke tension and affect the peace and harmony of the nation," he said in a statement released here today.
Ibrahim recently announced that Perkasa would hold a demonstration to counter the planned Bersih 2.0 street rally on July 9, and had called on the Chinese to stock up on food "as anything can happen".
Dr Teng also urged all Malaysians to support Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's approach of moderation as the way forward and for the nation and people to continue to progress.

tunku : dr teng should think with his brain and get to know about the facts before opening his stinking mouth. kj too should think and find the facts before opening his stinking mouth as he too demanded the home ministry to act against ibrahim ali. malaysia insider has twisted ibrahim's statement. instead, dr teng should explain about one of the penang's gerakan leader wanting to join the bersih illegal rally. gerakan should look themselves in the mirror(losers).try to win back penang first. about bersih illegal rally and all the others illegal rallies on 9th july, again i demand the home ministry to arrest all the leaders under ISA, may they be from opposition or pro government.

I will attend Bersih rally, says Anwar the moron

KUALA LUMPUR: Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he supported the Bersih rally as long as the need for clean and fair election was not addressed by the Government.
“I will attend and participate.
“PKR has directed its members from divisions in Selangor and other areas to mobilise for the rally,” he said at Parliament lobby yesterday.
Anwar had earlier said he would ask the rally to be called off if Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak could promise a free and fair election.
PKR vice-president Tian Chua said the party was working with PAS and DAP to ensure a large turnout for the rally.
He estimated that the crowd attending the rally would range from 200,000 to 300,000 people, including members of NGOs and the public.
In SHAH ALAM, Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said the Bersih rally would be a peaceful gathering.
He added that those who were against it should look at how similar rallies had been held in Indonesia.
“They allow people to march in the name of improving the nation.
“However, it should be done in a proper manner so that things do not get out of hand,” Khalid told a press conference yesterday.
Malaysian Bar president Lim Chee Wee said every individual had the right to freedom of assembly as long as this was done peacefully and responsibly.
Meanwhile, PAS Youth is inviting Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and the movement's members to join the Bersih rally instead of holding one of their own.

tunku : if you are gathering 200000-300000 people to gather to oppose the government,it will never be a peace event.do not insult people's intelligence.hope the police will go all out against these morons.stop them before they gather.

Bersih 2.0 : The moron speaks

No Bersih Illegal Demo If PM Can Guarantee Fair Elections, Says Anwar

SHAH ALAM, June 19 (Bernama) -- The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections (Bersih) will be asked to call off its planned illegal street demonstration for July 9 if the prime minister can guarantee free and fair elections in the country.
Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he was willing to ask Bersih chairman Datuk S.Ambiga to cancel the plan right away if Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak could give the assurance.
"If the prime minister can guarantee this and a clean electoral roll as well, we don't need to hold a mass procession," said the Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader when winding up his speech at the party's General Election Convention, here, Sunday.
Bersih plans to hold an illegal demonstration to demand for free and fair elections, the electoral roll to be cleaned up, postal voting to be reformed, using of undelible ink for voters, and free and fair access to the media.
Anwar, in his speech, also expressed regret over accusations by some quarters that he was behind the planned demonstration.
He also reminded party members dissatisfied with the choice of candidates for the general election to bring up the matter through the right channels and not to lobby him to determine the candidates.

tunku : if the election is not fair, bn will not be denied 2/3 majority and lost 5 states in the last general election. why these morons are so blind about that. to them only if they win all then only the election is clean and fair. they are the one who are dirty. they are the one that is doing all the voters shifting etc. look at yourselves first before accusing others. how do you want the pm to give guarantee ? taking oath ? in writing ? what make you think that by doing street demonstration and violence, the government will listen to you? the moron said that he regrets that he's accused of being the man behind the planned demonstration. he's doing drama again. if you are not involved how would you ask ambiga to stop the plan if pm can give assurance.enough moron, don't think that people are moron like you.this illegal demonstration is all about you moron.

Bersih Rally: Umno Youth Will Have To Face Consequences - Hishammuddin

PUTRAJAYA, June 17 (Bernama) -- Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said today Umno Youth will have to face the consequences of their action if they proceed with their intention to hold an illegal rally on July 9.
Hishammuddin, who is also former Umno Youth chief, said nobody was above the law and that they (Umno Youth) would have to deal with the police just like others.
"My advice is the same to everybody and as I mentioned in Parliament, the police are looking at this as a security issue.
"I think when it comes to this, it doesn't matter if I am a former Umno Youth chief. Umno Youth will have to face whatever consequences of their action, as I had to when I was Umno Youth chief in my time," he told reporters after a meeting with an Australian delegation and representatives from United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and International Organisation for Migration (IOM) here.
Hishammuddin was asked to comment on Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin's announcement that they will be also be organising a rally this July 9 to hand in a memorandum to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in supporting democracy and the role and reformation carried out by Election Commission (EC).
The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih) is also organising a rally on that day.
Asked whether the stand taken by the Youth was Umno's stand, Hishammuddin said the decision to organise the rally was an executive committee decision.
Therefore, he said, it was purely the Youth's stand, not Umno's as a whole.
On a claim by two Singaporean women that they were ordered to strip naked while detained by a Johor Immigration officer earlier this week, Hishammuddin confirmed that two officers from the detention centre had been suspended.
He, however, said he had yet to receive the full report on the incident.

tunku : my suggestion to the police is to arrest all the leaders involved in the 9th july illegal rally. they can be from the opposition leaders or from the pro government leaders. first arrest kj and ibrahim ali, then go all out to arrest all the opposition leaders involved.they won't have the chance to complaint as the police took action against umno youth and perkasa first.don't spare anyone.we need to keep peace in our country and stop all these illegal rallies.

Mat Sabu accused Kedah and Kelantan Excos of wrongdoings.

Sabu's Statement On Abuse In Kedah And Kelantan Shocking - Bashah

ALOR SETAR, June 16 (Bernama) - PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu's statement on abuses by the Kedah and Kelantan administration should make the people realise what is really happening.
Kedah Umno liaison chairman Datuk Ahmad Bashah Mohamed Hanipah said it came as a shock as it was not made by Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders but by a senior PAS leader.
"The people can judge the leadership in the two states.. We had made a similar statement but it was denied by PAS.
"The fact that one of their own leaders made a similar statement means that what we said is right," he said after a cheque presentation ceremony for the construction of Dewan Umno Taman Wira in Mergong, here Thursday.
Bashah was commenting Sabu's statement in a portal on June 10 that PAS should emulate Penang's example by enhancing integrity in the administration of Kedah and Kelantan.
Sabu claimed that State Executive Council members in the two states had applied for state land, were involved in illegal logging and were scrambling for datukship.
Political secretary to Kedah Menteri Besar, Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said what was said by Sabu did not involve PAS leaders in Kedah.

tunku : actually what sabu is trying to do is to be hero of dap and pkr. he's trying to takeover pas leadership from hadi awang and the ulamas. the only way is to be dap's puppet. with the blessing of dap, sabu will will change pas from an Islamic party to a secular party very soon. pas members should realize this.they should kick mat sabu out from pas before it's too late.

Since ealy this year, the price of RON97 petrol had been increased on four occasions to reach the current price of RM2.90 per litre.

Pas Will Never Cooperate With Umno, Says Mat Sabu

ALOR SETAR, June 14 (Bernama) -- PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu said the party would never cooperate with Umno even in the name of Malay unity, saying that it was tired of Umno's antics.
"We do not want a repeat of the 1969 incident when, after they win on the Barisan Nasional ticket, we are kicked out (of the coalition) before the following general election.
"Umno leaders are now trying to befriend PAS ... I will not respond to the extended hand," he said in a talk at the Kedah PAS complex here last night.

tunku : it's time for umno to forget about cooperating with pas.get the idea out of the picture and it's time to attack them all out. umno should try to get those leaders in pas who has malay unity in their agenda.get them out from pas.that is what umno suppose to do right now.mat sabu had showed what type of muslim he is by saying that he will not respond to the extended hand given by a fellow muslim.that is the pas way of islamic teaching.for pas, party first, islam last.

KANGAR, June 13 (Bernama) -- Thirty-six police reports have been lodged over four days in Perlis against the planned protest by election watchdog Bersih 2.0 in Kuala Lumpur on July 7.
The reports were made by, among others, the Kangar Umno Division, Kangar Wanita Umno, Kangar Puteri Umno, Perlis Menteri Besar Supporters' Club, Felda Chuping settlers, Mata Ayer State Constituency village development and security committees chairmen, Village's Security Committee in Mata Ayer State Constituency, Kampung Bakau Village Development and Security Committee, Perlis Siamese Community and Arau Umno Division.
Azali Abas, the political secretary of the Perlis menteri besar, who lodged a report at the Kangar police station today, called on the authorities to stop the holding of the protest.
Kangar Wanita Umno head Rela Ahmad said the opposition could use other means of protesting against the government.
President of the Menteri Besar Supporters' Club, Zulkeflee Ibrahim, said the protest could spark chaos in the country.
In Kedah, Kubang Pasu Umno secretary Samsuddin Ahmad and the chairmen of 20 Umno branches in the division lodged a report against the protest at the Kubang Pasu district police headquarters.
Kedah Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang, in a statement, proposed that the organiser hold the event in a stadium.
"They have the right to express their views on any issue but it does not mean that they can organise any activity which can undermine public order," he said.

tunku : with so many police report being made we hope the police will try their level best to stop the "dirty" protest by those idiots trying to create tension and chaos in the country.if they want to hand over memorandum to the King, just make appointment and take a group of 10 people to Istana. those involved has access to parliament.they can bring any suggestion or discussion in the parliament.why want to bring it on the street? where is the logic? suddenly we are hearing they are instigating people to go on the street and protest like the egypt and tunasia protest. this show clearly that they just want to create tense and chaos.we want police to arrest all the leaders who are involved in this protest under ISA. this is national security issue and police can't tolerate on this matter.

PAS' Version Of Welfare State Will Not Achieve Objective

IPOH, June 12 (Bernama) -- The welfare state as projected by Pas will not achieve its objective if the country is not developing progressively, said Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
He said the objective of becoming a welfare state had to go along with the nation's development to be able to generate economic and employment opportunities for the people.
"The welfare state as proposed by Pas actually has long been practised by the Barisan Nasional government, not only for the Malays but also for all other races in the country," he told reporters after opening the Pasir Salak Umno division's delegates' meeting, here, today.
He said: "We cannot be focusing on the welfare state alone if the country is not developed."
Shafie who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, said BN had done much more for the people than what PAS had done for those in Kelantan (which it ruled).

tunku : pas has no planning or vision to develop the country into greater height, how would they provide welfare to the people? this is just empty talk or promises. just look at kedah and kelantan, is it a welfare state? they should implement it in those states first and show to the public what they can do.don't tell people that wait until they rules the federal then only they will implement it.they failed to help people in kelantan and kedah and now they are talking about the whole nation.as usual, pas talk craps all the time.just to please dap, they have to come out with new vision.

FA Cup final: Kelantan declares Sunday holiday

KOTA BARU: Kelantan has declared Sunday a public holiday in conjunction with the FA Cup final between Kelantan and Terengganu at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
The announcement was made by Kelantan State Secretary Datuk Aiseri Alias to ensure the safe journey of the state football fans on their return after watching the game.
He said the state government took the initiative to declare a holiday in appreciation of the sporting spirit showed by the state football fans.
"This is the third time the state government has declared a public holiday in the state because of football.
"The first time was when Kelantan became the vice-champion in the Malaysia Cup in 2009 and then last year, when it became champion after beating Selangor," he said when contacted by Bernama.
He hoped that with the holiday, it would give more time for the football fans to plan their journey home. BERNAMA

tunku : first of all congratulation to terengganu for winning the cup. as for kelantan, keep giving unnecessary public holidays. if they had won then it make sense but losing the cup and declaring public holiday does not make any sense. the state's economy is in bad shape, the state government should think about that.

A party that asking all the time from the public

PKR reps told to collect money

PETALING JAYA: PKR elected representatives and councillors in Selangor have been asked to solicit at least RM2mil in donations from the public before the next general election.
The state PKR has directed executive councillors to collect up to RM50,000 each, while MPs are supposed to solicit at least RM22,000 each.
Assemblymen have to collect RM30,000 each and municipal or city councillors are required to get RM20,000 each.
The state party treasury had issued more than 1,500 “certificates of appreciation” to the Mentri Besar, eight MPs, four executive councillors, eight assemblymen, and about 80 local councillors.
Signatures of party president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Selangor PKR chairman Azmin Ali and treasurer Datin Paduka Dr Tan Yee Kew are on the certificates of appreciation for donations of RM500, RM1,000, RM2,000 and RM3,000.
Dr Tan said it was part of the party’s ongoing donation drive to collect funds for the general election.
“We are introducing this certificate system so donors are assured that the money will end in the party’s coffers and not in anyone’s pocket.”
She also denied claims that the donors might seek favours in the future if Pakatan Rakyat were to succeed as they could use the certificates to show proof of their support.
“I think this is an attempt to sabotage this transparent fund-raising system, which is similar to the system used by political parties in the United States.
“Corporate giants are shying away from us. That is why we have to depend on the public and small-time businesses for support,” she said.
Dr Tan also stressed that the donation drive was carried out on a voluntary basis.
She had been asked to comment on dissatisfaction expressed by some elected representatives who said they were forced to solicit funds from the public.
An elected representative said some councillors were forcing contractors to donate if they wanted to bid for projects.

tunku : this is the party that asking all the time and gives back nothing to the people. its leaders lives in luxury, traveling here and there, buying properties etc. why do they need public to sponsor them? they are the one that should spend money not the public. as for the certification thing, it is just a another drama to show that money receives from donations will end in the party’s coffers and not in anyone’s pocket.this is just from the public, what about the kickbacks receives from the companies that are getting state's projects ? what about the "donation" receives by private companies ? fund from abroad ? if you want it to be transparent, issue certificate for those "donation" too. don't try to fools the people out there with your political dramas. most of the other "donations" are going in the top leaders pocket.the grassroot leaders like fools working hard for the top leaders to live in luxury.they have to spend their own money to do things for party.they are only given empty promises by top leaders especially the moron anwar ibrahim.

PAS New Leadership: Umno Not Threatened In Any Way, Says Mukhriz

KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 (Bernama) -- Umno does not feel threatened in any way with the new leadership of PAS, said Kedah Umno deputy liaison chairman Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir.
Mukhriz, who is also Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister, however, felt the party had mixed reactions about the outcome of PAS' polls.
"No...not at all (threatened)...why we are happy is because we think we have a better chance with that kind of lineup...and why we are not happy is (because) if we are talking about unity, that line up is not going to help us," he told reporters when asked if he thought Umno felt threatened with the new PAS leadership.
Mukriz had earlier attended the official opening of the Smidex 2011: SME Innovation Showcase by the Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), here Tuesday.
Mukhriz said PAS seemed adamant about splitting the Malays for their own purposes, adding that it was very sad to see that happen.
At PAS party congress last week, the non-ulama group, which does not favour PAS uniting with Umno, won key posts and most of the central working committee (CWC) seats with CWC member Mohamad Sabu leading the way, beating incumbent deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa and another candidate, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

tunku :mukhriz is right, with that line up i believe more malays will support umno. those who think pas is going to uphold islamic state will be cheated by the party's stand lately.they will for sure leave pas and join umno. pas is now depending on non malays to support them.they think that dap will let them run the show but they are wrong. it is just like in perak before where nizar was just a puppet to dap.he was running the state on the strings pulled by dap.same situation in penang.dap did not gives anything to pas.in selangor pas has no say too.still pas has not learnt the lesson here.they are just too greedy for power.hadi awang too had changed his skin just to please dap and pkr. he wants to be the next pm as anwar is going in for a long time.although he had said that he won't be the pm shall pakatan wins the next GE but we know the truth.who else they want to put as pm....lim kit siang? we have no problem with hadi's dream or quest but being a puppet pm and controlled by dap...no way man. well, to me it is pas lost.umno has more advantages now from this situation.Islam is dead in pas now.

Hadi: M'sian Syariah laws influenced by colonial elements

KOTA BARU: PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang claimed Tuesday that Malaysian Syariah laws were still influenced by elements of the colonial era.
He said Syariah laws in the country should fully subscribe to Islamic elements as this would ensure that the revealing of a sex video said to feature a man resembling Opposition leader and PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim could not be used as a weapon to defame a person.
"Islamic law enactments in the country are a leftover of the British," he told reporters after calling on Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, at the MB's official residence here.
He also questioned why the religious authorities had not arrested the "actor" in the video.
On Monday, Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had asked the National Fatwa Council to make a ruling as to whether the video recording could be tendered as evidence in court to resolve the issue as it was claimed it involved Anwar.
At the just-concluded PAS muktamar (general assembly) in Kuala Lumpur, Hadi had said that the video could not be tendered as evidence as Islamic laws required four eyewitnesses to convict a person of committing sodomy or adultery. - Bernama

tunku : why worry on the syariah law in malaysia.it has nothing to do with pas anymore as they have dropped all the islamic values. is it just because want to save one person's neck hadi is telling that the syariah laws influenced by the colonial elements? what about if that person is from BN? then everyhting will be fine. this shows clearly how twisted tongue is this so called ulama.hadi awang is power crazy now. islam is no longer important to him.

Dap-Led Penang Government Dividing The Muslims.

DAP-Led Penang Government Introduces Mosque Election

GEORGE TOWN, June 6 (Bernama) -- The DAP-led Penang state government has decided to adopt the election system using ballot papers in the election of mosque committee members throughout the state.
Chairman of the State Committee on Religion, Domestic Trade and Consumerism Abdul Malik Kassim said the method that was introduced had been agreed upon by the various parties including the Islamic Religious Department, Penang Islamic Religious Council (MAIPP) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
"Through discussions with the various groups, it was agreed that a more transparent method of electing mosque committee members should be introduced instead of the existing system," he told reporters here Monday.
He said the selection through election aimed to give back the right to nominate and elect congregation leaders to members of the respective mosque congregation.
He said a guideline on methods of electing the mosque committee members for the 2012-2013 term had been distributed to all the mosques in the state.

tunku : why don't they do the election in the temples and churches? this is the dirty tactic by dap to divide the muslims.they will divide and rule this country one day should the muslims fools themselves by believing dap. pas already put aside their struggles all these while for dap.now they are no longer islamic party.they put dap above all.they are willing to sacrifice islam for dap to achieve their dreams.

Sodomy II: Anwar fails again in bid to recuse judge

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has dismissed Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's application for Justice Mohd Zabidin Mohd Diah to recuse himself from hearing the Opposition leader's ongoing sodomy trial.
In a very brief judgment Monday, Justice Mohd Zabidin said he dismissed the application as he found no merit in it.
Anwar's lawyer Karpal Singh then applied for a stay of the trial pending their appeal at the Court of Appeal, which was granted.
The court then fixed July 13 for mention of the case.
Earlier, on the application, Karpal submitted that the court had misdirected itself on the standard of proof required at the close of the prosecution's case.
He said that the court, in accepting complainant Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan's evidence as conclusive, would mean that the court was accepting it as "irrefutable evidence".
"What constitutes a prima facie case? Evidence at the prima facie case must not be conclusive.
"In our case, there is evidence of prejudgment and bias. We pray this application be allowed," he said.
Solicitor-General II Datuk Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden instead argued that Anwar had based his application only one one paragraph out of the entire judgment, which was 120-paragraphs long.
He also said that the one paragraph, in which Justice Mohd Zabidin had ruled on May 16 that he found Mohd Saiful's "evidence reliable, and if accepted, would establish all the facts required to prove the charge against the accused", had been taken out of context and read in isolation from the rest of the judgment.
Last Thursday, Anwar filed the application for Justice Mohd Zabidin to recuse himself, claiming that the judge was biased against him and that the judge had "pre-judged the case" when he ruled that he found Mohd Saiful to be a truthful witness.
This is the third time Anwar is applying to disqualify the judge in his trial.
On Aug 7, 2008, Anwar claimed trial to performing carnal intercourse against the order of nature on Mohd Saiful at a condominium unit in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, between 3.01pm and 4.30pm on June 26, 2008.
He is charged under Section 377B of the Penal Code and faces up to 20 years jail and whipping.
On May 16, Anwar was ordered by the High Court to enter his defence.

tunku : OMG.how long will this case take to settle ?this sodomizer keep buying time.now he appeal and the case will be mentioned july 13. we want this case to be heard asap and get it going.why is this sodomizer so special? he's getting all the vip treatment.please treat him as an ordinary peorson only.we want justice here.

PAS condemns use of sex video , Islam is dead in Pas.

PAS condemns use of sex video for slander.KUALA LUMPUR: The Ulama council condemned the use of sex video for political slander.
The ulama said the tactic of using video and new media as channels to spread slander in the interest of politics signified the fall of a civilisation.
“It is a sin to slander, as it involves the dignity and integrity of an individual,” said Ulama representative Fadhil Mohd Noor when tabling the motion atthe 57th PAS Muktamar on Sunday.
The ulama were apparently referring to a sex video implicating Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
On March 21, trio Datuk T comprising businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, and former Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim revealed the existence of a sex video showing a man resembling Anwar having sex with a woman believed to be a prostitute.
Anwar lodged a police report claiming he was not the man in the video.
The Ulama condemned the Barisan Nasional government for allowing the sex video to be aired on television and excerpts published in the print media.
“(We) condemn the silent stance taken by the official government ulama,” he said.
The sex video was among six-point motion tabled and passed during the Muktamar.
Other motions include the Bersih 2 gathering that would be held on July 9, about 10 days after Anwar's defence hearing over a sodomy case ends.
The resolution pushed by the PAS central committee called for the mobilisation of all the party organs to make the gathering a success.
Among the Bersih demands are for free and fair media coverage for all political parties in the mainstream media, the use of indelible ink during elections, abolishing of postal votes, and automatic registration for voters who turn 21.
The PAS Tenggara, Johor brought up a resolution urging all Pakatan Rakyat states to set up a Malaysia Armed Forces and Veteran Welfare Secretariat (KERABAT).
They called on the Mentri Besar and the Chief Minister in Pakatan Rakyat states to chair the secretariat aimed at ensuring that the welfare of the retired armed forces personnel were looked into.
The PAS Pandan brought up a resolution objecting to subsidy reduction, as it posed a burden on the rakyat.
The Youth wing brought up a resolution to push for the setting up of Royal Commission to investigate alleged MyKad fraud.
The Muslimat wing pushed for a resolution to make Al-Quran recital examination compulsory for all Muslim students taking UPSR, PMR and SPM.
They want the Islamic studies to be made compulsory for students at every level from primary to university.

tunku : pas condemns use of sex video for slander, ok.that is fine. we condemn slanders too but in this particular sex video, it is not slander. till today there is no official from the authorities that it is anwar in the video so why the fuss? if it is anwar, pas will still back him and put religion aside as they already doing that for quite sometime.pas is anwar's partner in sex and crime. a deputy president (mat sabu) , one who first exposed anwar's sodomy activities and called anwar "aljuburi", today licks anwar's shoes.Islam is dead in pas.

DAP, PKR Have Influenced PAS To Change Principles : Mukhriz

JERLUN, June 4 (Bernama) -- DAP and the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) have succeeded in influencing PAS to the extent that the party's objective of setting up an Islamic state, which was the party's struggles all this time, has been changed to a welfare state.
Deputy chairman of the Kedah Umno Liaison Body Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir said PAS was also seen as lacking a fixed stand when it changed the principle of struggling for an Islamic state to a welfare state because it wanted to realise the aspirations of the DAP and PKR in championing the cause of the multi-racial society in Malaysia.
"Congratulations to the DAP and PKR for succeeding to influence PAS to the extent that only those aligned to them (no ulama) were elected as PAS vice-presidents and even the deputy president.
"The influence of the DAP and PKR in PAS is very substantial. This does not reflect that PAS is free from the influence of those who are actually against Islam," he told reporters after launching a programme, "Undergraduates With the People", here Saturday.
He said the results of the PAS election which was announced today certainly did not reflect the support of the PAS members or delegates for the ulama in PAS.
The results of the PAS election announced today showed that PAS grassroots leader Mohamad Sabu sprang a surprise by beating three-term deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa and Pahang PAS commissioner Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Mat for the number two post.
The new vice-presidents Salahuddin Ayub, Datuk Husam Musa and Datuk Mahfuz Omar, are also from the non-ulama group.
Mukhriz said the formation of a welfare state announced by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang at the PAS general assembly yesterday had actually been fought for by Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) ever since independence.

tunku : dap and pkr is the total winner in this pas party election.no more islamic state and no more hudud, what matter most now is to obey dap dan pkr.i wonder this is what the grassroots want.

PAS polls result: Mat Sabu is new deputy, ulama lose out

KUALA LUMPUR: The PAS polls saw the ulama faction lose out in the top hierarchy, with the Erdogan (moderate) factions dominating the central posts.
Activist Mohamed Sabu toppled heavyweight ulama Nasharudin Mat Isa (incumbent) and Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man in the race for one of the stiffest race for deputy presidency.
Mohamed, who won by a 21-vote majority, clinched 420 votes followed by Tuan Ibrahim (399) and Nasharuddin (224).
Datuk Husam Musa of the Erdogan clan won the vice presidency, while incumbent vice presidents Salahuddin Ayub and Datuk Mahfuz Omar managed to retain the post in a six-cornered fight for the three posts.
Salahuddin clinched the highest number of votes (753), followed by Husam (660) and Mahfuz (616).
Ulama candidates Idris Ahmad (491) and Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah (321), as well as former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin (217), failed in their bid to secure vice president posts.
The only ulama in the top hierarchy is Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang who was returned unopposed for the fifth term.
The Erdogans dominate the central committee posts, controlling eight out of the 18 posts, while the ulama only managed six seats.
Felda activist Mazlan Aliman clinched the highest vote in the central committee election (804).
The Erdogans in the central committee are Dr Mohd Hatta Md Ramli (765), Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar (739), Hanipah Maidin (735), Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (702), Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa (651), Khalid Abdul Samad (643), Datuk Dr Mahfodz Mohamed (449), and Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud (445).
The ulama who made it to the central committee are Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak (721), Abdul Ghani Shamsuddin (579), Abu Bakar Chik (527), Mohd Amar Abdullah (470), Abdul Ghani Abdul Rahman (430), Nuridah Salleh (416).
The professionals who made it are Kedah executive councillor Amiruddin Hamzah (576), Wakaf mempelam assemblyman Abdul Wahid Endut (556), and Selangor executive councillor Datuk Dr Hassan Ali (437). Dr Hassan is an ulama supporter.

tunku : it is almost a clean sweep by the erdogan's group. now pas is no more an islamic party as the new leaders are more keen on power than islamic values. they are more pro dap and anwar.islam is not the main agenda now.the muslim should reject pas now.just imagine a person like mat sabu can be the deputy president of pas.

PAS President Ticks Off Pro-Umno Ulama

KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 (Bernama) -- PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has described ulama who support Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) as people who lack understanding of Islamic political principles.
He claimed that despite their knowledge, they failed to understand that certain modern ideologies and theories were contrary to Islam.
"PAS ulama council members should be ready to confront ulama who just sit idly by as the society is overrun by all sorts of vices," he said in his policy speech at the party's 57th muktamar (General Assembly) here Friday.
The council should try to get more people to join the party's struggle, he said, adding that the body should also work towards elucidating complex issues of the day.
Abdul Hadi also urged PAS women members to give attention to social issues affecting women, youths and other groups.
The PAS president also vowed to maintain the opposition pact's grip on Kelantan, Kedah, Selangor and Penang in the next general election.
"The general assembly is taking place amid anticipation that the country's 13th general election will be held soon. The fight is going to be brutal,"
He ordered PAS election machinery to prepare for the election.
"Although the outcome of the Sarawak election was not in our favour, we still managed to widen our influence in general, opening up a number of PAS branches in the process," he said.
Abdul Hadi also expressed hope that the establishment of the council of PAS supporters would play a role in conveying the party's messages to non-Muslims.

tunku : what about pas ulama? pas ulama is ok with a sodomizer becoming a prime minister. pas ulama is ok with a porn star as their leader.pas ulama is ok with dropping islamic agenda as they bow down to dap. hadi has made himself look very stupid with such remark.

"Husam Gave Me RM350,000 As Compensation In 2009," Says Kickdefella

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 (Bernama) -- Blogger Kickdefella or his real name, Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz, Thursday claimed that he received RM350,000 from Datuk Husam Musa as compensation for the termination of his service contract with Kelantan Menteri Besar Incorporated (PMBK) two years ago.
He said this happened in November 2009 and the money was to compensate him after his contract as public relations officer with PMBK was terminated on Nov 10, 2009.
He denied reports on a number of websites lately that he was paid by Husam, who is a Kelantan state executive councillor and candidate for a PAS vice-president post in the party election this week, to help him campaign.
Syed Azidi said the facts and time frame of the incident had been twisted.
"The allegation that I had met Datuk Husam and received RM300,000 from him in China recently is not true," he told a news conference, here.
"Datuk Husam and I have not met since Nov 9, 2009, but we have spoken over the phone and sent each other SMSes."
Syed Azidi said after his service contract with PMBK was terminated following a misunderstanding with its chief executive, he had on Nov 18, 2009 met Husam's aide who offered him a payment of RM350,000 and he agreed.
He said the money given was partly arrears amounting to RM50,000 and the remainder as compassionate payment, and not for "shutting my mouth".
"The cash payment was made by the individual in stages within three months from November 2009," he added, but declined to reveal the individual's identity.
Syed Azidi who regards Husam as a special friend, said he did not know whether the money came personally from Husam.
He said the last time he visited China was in December 2009.
"I believe the story that the money was given to me when I met Husam in China last week was purposely created by certain quarters.
"I also believe that the person responsible for relaying the information is closely linked to one of the candidates contesting for a party vice-president post," he added.
Husam when contacted, however, denied that he had given the money (RM350,000) to Syed Azidi in 2009.
"I also don't have an aide. If his (Syed Azidi's) service had been terminated by PMBK, that's his own matter. Why should I want to give him compensation money? I was not his employer," he said.
In a statement sent through SMS to Bernama, Husam also denied having such an amount of money.
"Until today, I have not had that amount of money in my account, and it would have been stupid of me to donate such a big amount to a person like him (Syed Azidi) while I've never had that amount in my entire life," he texted.
Husam was also surprised with Azidi's action of making such a claim on the eve of the PAS election Friday.
He said it was also not true that they had communicated over the phone.

tunku : simple question...from where husam got the money???? rm350,000 is not a small sum.if syed azidi lied, why husam is not taking legal action on him?

Kedah And Kelantan PAS Governments Urged To Be Sensitive To People's Demands

SHAH ALAM, June 1 (Bernama) -- The PAS governments in Kedah and Kelantan are urged to address their weaknesses and to be sensitive to the people's demands.
PAS Youth chief, Nasrudin Hassan, said the two governments should also strengthen their leadership lineups and administrative machinery.
As for the other state governments under PAS-PKR -DAP, they should fulfill the 2008 election manifesto, especially those pertaining to turning the country into a welfare state, he said in his address at the movement's 52nd assembly here Wednesday night.
Nasrudin said that for the coming 13th general election, there would be more young voters.
Therefore, leaders in states under PAS-PKR-DAP should not look down on the young generation, he added.

tunku : kedah and kelantan pas government is in their own world.they are still dreaming.the worst in kelantan, after 20 years there's still no vision for the state.it's so sad.the worst part is they are just puppet in pakatan.

Sodomy II: Anwar again seeks to disqualify judge(for the 3rd time)

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be filing an application Thursday for High Court judge Justice Mohd Zabidin Mohd Diah to recuse himself from hearing the Opposition leader's ongoing sodomy trial, after claiming that the judge had "pre-judged his case".
When contacted Wednesday, Anwar's lawyer Sankara Nair said Anwar would be filing the application at the court complex here at 10am.
"The judge had pre-judged the case at the prosecution's case.
"He was biased and went beyond prima facie stage, which is not in accordance with the law," Sankara said.
He added there was a delay in filing the motion as the defence team had only received the certified true copy of the judge's written judgment on Tuesday.
This is the third time Anwar is applying to disqualify the judge in his trial.
Sankara also said that until Wednesday, the defence team had only been supplied five witnesses for interview by the police and prosecution, when they had requested for 25 names since May 16.
"Important witnesses like Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib (Tun Razak), (his wife) Datin Seri Rosmah (Mansor) and (former Inspector-General of Police) Tan Sri Musa Hassan have not yet been supplied to us to be interviewed.
"The police say they have not managed to arrange it yet," he said.
On Aug 7, 2008, Anwar claimed trial to performing carnal intercourse against the order of nature on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan at a condominium unit in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, between 3.01pm and 4.30pm on June 26, 2008.
He is charged under Section 377B of the Penal Code and faces up to 20 years jail and whipping.
On May 16, Anwar was ordered by the High Court to enter his defence, which has been scheduled to begin from June 6.

tunku : third time ? it's so clear that the sodomizer is just buying some time.all he want is to delay the court case till the election comes. the court should not accept his application at all.this is too much.why must the court give him so much of special privileges. enough is enough.

64 Kampung Lembah Kinrara DAP Members Quit To Join Umno

KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 (Bernama) -- Sixty-four DAP members of Kampung Lembah Kinrara, Puchong Jaya, Puchong Tuesday declared that they had quit the party and joined Umno.
Their representative, Harun Abdul Waha, who is also DAP chairman in the area, said DAP was only capable of making empty promises to develop the area.
"For as long as I've been DAP chairman of Kampung Lembah Kinrara, we have never received funds or projects. I am willing to leave the party and fight for the interests of the Malays," he said.
He said this after submitting his membership form to Umno Information Chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan, who is also Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, at Umno's Headquarters here Tuesday.
The members involved are Malays who joined the party in 2009.
Harun said all the projects requested by residents in the area had to go through Puchong Member of Parliament, Gobind Singh Deo.
"He (Gobind) won the hearts of residents by giving out contributions for Hari Raya and such. However, there are no funds for projects," he said, admitting that most of the development projects there were from Umno.
He added that when a problem arose in the village, the DAP kept quiet and did nothing to resolve the woes of villagers.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Maslan described Harun's move as wise and hoped other Malay members in DAP would follow suit.
"We appreciate their move to join Umno because the fight for the Malays can only be solved by Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN). DAP cannot fight for the rights of the Malays," he said.
