Tun Dr M doing well at home after being discharged

PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is recuperating well, a week after being discharged from the National Heart Institute (IJN).
His daughter, Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, said that the former Prime Minister had gone for a routine follow-up at the IJN yesterday.
“Everything is very good. He is relaxing,” she said.
Dr Mahathir was discharged from IJN last Sunday, 50 days after admission on Sept 2 for his second coronary bypass surgery on Sept 4 and another operation for wound infection on Sept 22.

The number of visitors allowed was still limited, she said.
A post on her blog http://www. rantingsbymm.blogspot.com last week said that cards and letters to Dr Mahathir could be addressed to the Perdana Leadership Foundation, No 1, Jalan P8H, Precinct 8, Putrajaya, 62250 Wilayah Persekutuan.
“They will get to him, I promise,” she wrote.
Another posting related how Dr Mahathir was able to walk “pretty fast” to another room for his morning check-up at home.
She added that he had also walked downstairs to see a relative who had come to visit him.
