Gobala all out against Anwar and Azmin.

Gobala rebuffs show cause letter

PETALING JAYA: Padang Serai MP N. Gobalakrishnan is unfazed over the prospect of facing the PKR’s disciplinary board for refusing to respond to a show cause letter.
“Why must I reply to the show cause letter? Anwar and the party must answer my questions first. I won’t stop until they answer,” he said in his Twitter timeline yesterday.
Gobalakrishnan has been critical of PKR on issues such as the low representation of Indians in the party, alleged manipulation of the recent party polls as well as the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He had also highlighted allegations that Anwar and PKR deputy president Azmin Ali had amassed millions of ringgit from party members.
He had complained that the 45-page show cause letter, dated Dec 31, was faxed to him only on Jan 4.
He was given seven days to reply, but he wanted 45 days. He is set to face the disciplinary board after failing to respond by the Jan 17 extended deadline about his criticism on Twitter of the party and Anwar.
Despite his harsh criticism of the party and Anwar, Gobalakrishnan has vowed to stay in PKR and try to change the party from within although he had attended the launch of the Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air (Kita) by its new president Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.
PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution was quoted in an online news portal as saying that the next step in the party’s disciplinary process was for its disciplinary board to convene a hearing because Gobalakrishnan had failed to answer by the Jan 17 deadline.
He also said the party had used all communication methods to ensure that the MP received the letter.

tunku : gobala is wasting his time in pkr.he should join zaid's party instead.gobala will be sidelined forever in pkr as he has touched the untouchables anwar and azmin.when you touch the untouchables, you are finished.i wonder why those who burnt the interlok book did not say anything to azmin for saying to gobala a pariah.below are some interesting tweet from gobala.

415 Traders Urge Nik Aziz To Keep Election Promise

KOTA BAHARU, Jan 20 (Bernama) -- Four hundred and fifteen traders at the Lambok Uda Arcade and Municipal Council markets here are asking Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat to keep his election promise of moving them to the Tok Guru Bazaar.
Chairman of the association traders at the old municipal market Abd Salim Ahmad said the traders now had to turn to Kelantan Umno liaison chief Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed for help to solve their problem.
"During the (2008) general election, they (PAS) promised to help traders like us improve our business. They promised to set aside shopping lots we could afford," he told reporters here after an hour-long meeting with Mustapa.
The Kelantan Mentri Besar Corporation was reported to have promised the traders shopping lots at RM40,000 each at Tok Guru Bazaar.
But the lots they were offered, said Abd Salim, were much smaller than promised and cost between RM80,000 and RM90,000.
Mustapa, who is Minister of International Trade and Industry, had last Sunday asked the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate why the lots were costing so much.
Today, he said that he would write to the Mentri Besar this week and try to find a solution to the problem of the traders.
The Tok Guru Bazaar is a business complex built on two hectares formerly occupied by the Kota Baharu district police office.

tunku : just imagine a person with the "ulama" status can cheat people. they should not name the bazaar as bazar tok guru.it will not bring any good business there.it will be like the senile old tok guru who will do anything, even to the extend to let go all pas struggles just for the sake to win election and to please dap and pkr.do not be cruel to the people nik aziz.fulfilled all your promises.

Selangor Sultan Wants Decision Not Be Misconstrued As Siding Any Party

SHAH ALAM, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, today said his signing the proclamation calling for a state assembly sitting on Jan 24 should not be misconstrued as siding with any party.
"I have signed the proclamation to call for a state assembly sitting fixed for Jan 24 under sub-order 10(3) of the State Legislative Assembly's Standing Order," the Sultan said in a statement issued, here, Wednesday.
Sultan Sharafuddin said the proclamation was signed in line with the powers and responsibilities vested in him as provided under Articles LXX (1) and LV (1) of the Laws of the Selangor State Constitution 1959.
The Sultan also hoped that the state assembly meeting this time would proceed in an orderly manner in accordance with the stipulated rules.
"I do not wish my signing the proclamation to be misconstrued as siding any party nor be dragged into the politics of any irresponsible quarters with vested interest," the Sultan said.
In a separate press statement, the Sultan's private secretary Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani said the ruler had received and perused the draft of the proposed amendment to Article 52 of the Selangor State Constitution.
"However, His Highness is leaving it to the wisdom of the members of the state assembly to decide whether the amendment should be accepted and passed or not," he said.
Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim had suggested that Article 52 be amended to return the power of the Sultan and Menteri Besar to appoint the state secretary, financial officer and legal adviser.

tunku : what Sultan Selangor did is good.as a Ruler, he should not be siding any party but i'm sure that he knows that the state government will never get the 2/3 majority to amend the constitution.khalid ibrahim is just wasting time and money.he should spend more time to administer the state instead of 24/7 politicking.

Moron Lim Guan Eng crying like a baby

Penang CM claims island left out of ETP

GEORGE TOWN: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is unhappy that the state is not offered any project or development from the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).
He said that the Federal Government had advertised in newspapers that there were 19 projects with RM67bil investment that created 35,000 jobs but Penang did not get a share.
As Malaysia had 13 states and the Federal Territories, Penang should at least get one of the 19 projects.
“Don’t discriminate against us. When electrical and electronic industry is the most dynamic in the world, we are supposed to have it here. But it goes to Malacca.
“Just like the heritage fund where Malacca got RM30mil while Penang got not even one sen,” he said in a press conference after visiting the Whiteaways Block in Beach Street Tuesday.
He added that Ministers in the Prime Minister’s Office Senator Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon and Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop have to answer to this.
“I want to ask Dr Koh as he looks after the Key Performance Index (KPI) and National Key Result Areas (NKRA).
“Is this his way of siding Penang, that is elek (none in Tamil), apa pun tak da (nothing at all),” he said.
However, he said Penang would continue to work hard and co-operate with the Federal Government so they could better develop Penang and Malaysia.
Projects under the ETP included agriculture, education, healthcare and tourism.

tunku : if the federal government wants to discriminate penang, penang will not have any FDI or DDI in the state.the pakatan government only talks in penang but no action.all they know is giving out the state lands to developers for quick bucks by chasing out the people from their houses.guan eng should be ashamed of himself,he should prove to the penangites that he is a capable cm and can bring investments to the state.now he's crying for federal's to help.where is the competent leaders in pakatan ? where is anwar the moron who claims to be superb in economics and finance and has billion of investments in hand?????? this is what happens when you elect morons to be the government.

Ronnie Liu has the ultimate power in Selangor.

S'gor MB Khalid: No ban on Muslims working in outlets selling liquor

SHAH ALAM: There is no ban on Muslims working in outlets selling liquor, only a condition set by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) to remind them of the inappropriateness of working in such outlets, said Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
He said the reminder was just an effort by MPSJ to reduce the number of Muslims working in nightclubs.
Khalid added, however, that the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) had the power to take action on Muslims working in nightclubs.
The state government would be looking into implementing the condition into its by-laws, but only after a thorough study, which will take at least six months, he told reporters after meeting 12 local council presidents Monday.
Out of 170 premises in Subang, Khalid said 13 did not follow the Syariah Criminal Enactment of Selangor.
"The 13 premises consisted 140 muslim workers," he said.
He sad the letters issued by MPSJ to such premises would not be retracted as it was an unenforceable condition.
"It doesn't affect the businesses from renewing their licences," he added.
On Jan 15, it was reported that confusion reigned over the MPSJ directive banning Muslims from working in entertainment outlets serving liquor.
The state government had then announced it was setting up a special fund to help Muslims who had to give up their jobs in these outlets following the directive.

tunku : what a flip flop, first they said it is banned then now not ban just because the big towkey ronnie liu and his party are against it. hassan ali shut his mouth, khalid agreed to ronnie and they goes the so called Islamic party's agenda. they are just the puppet in pakatan rakyat. let us see what pas has to say about this now.where are the dap's caliphs who read Quranic verses? khalid is known for his twisted tongue, just few day ago he said there is ban and now he is it is not a ban but merely a reminder.

Page To Submit Memorandum On PPSMI To Prime Minister

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- The Parent Action Group for Education (Page) plan to submit a memorandum to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Wednesday, calling for all national schools to be given an option to continue teaching Science and Mathematics in English.
Its chairman Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim said the memorandum would highlight the main points discussed at the three forums entitled "A Discourse on Malaysia Education Policies - Science and Math in English as an Option" held in Penang, Melaka and Kuala Lumpur since last week.
She said the group was not against national schools but only wanted to ensure that school children were given the best possible education and taught in the most appropriate language.
"We are not against the policy of upholding the Bahasa Malaysia and strengthening the command of English. We just want schools to be given the option," said Noor Azimah, one of the panelists at the third forum organised by the group, here Sunday.
Noor Azimah said Page was also seeking the support of parents who were all for Mathematics and Science in English (PPSMI).
"We urge all parents in Malaysia to sign up as our members and with larger numbers, our presence and collective positions can be a significant contributing factor towards the formulation and implementation of all the future educational related policies in Malaysia," she said.
The PPSMI will be replaced by the policy of dignifying Bahasa Melayu and strengthening English language usage or "Memartabatkan Bahasa Melayu dan Memperkasakan Bahasa Inggeris" (MBMBI) in 2011.

tunku : YAB PM,please listen to us. we want ppsmi.let us have option to choose the best for our children.

Anwar's nightmare returns

Ummi reignites family fued

Other than her nemesis Anwar Ibrahim, Ummi Hafilda Ali also has harsh words for her elder brother Azmin Ali and his wife.
After a 13 year hiatus, Ummi Hafilda Ali has resurfaced to launch a fresh assault on her nemesis Anwar Ibrahim and her brother Azmin Ali during a press conference today.
Backed by eight 'supporters' who jeered whenever journalists posed tough questions to her, Ummi Hafilda was a picture of calm as she delivered a flurry of fresh and renewed allegations against the duo during the one-hour long session.
Chief among her allegations were aimed at Azmin's wife Shamsidar Taharin.
Among others, Ummi Hafilda claimed that Shamsidar was appointed to a high ranking post in a bank through dubious means by Anwar when he was finance minister.
“I will submit such evidence to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) soon. You will all be informed of this.
"I am also prepared to swear and take an oath on the Quran on this just as what Mohd Saiful (Bukhari Azlan) did,” she said, referring to the alleged complainant in Anwar's ongoing second sodomy trial.
Ummi Hafilda also repeated allegations that Anwar and Shamsidar had an illegitimate child.
“You can compare the picture of this daughter with Azmin's other children,” she said.
This allegation was first raised in Khalid Jafri's book 50 Reasons Why Anwar Cannot be PM in 1998. In 2005, he was found guilty under the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 for publishing false information.
During the course of the trial, it was determined that DNA tests showed that Azmin and Shamsidar was the biological parents of the child in question.
Azmin soured family ties
Ummi Hafilda also accused Azmin of souring family ties by distancing himself.
“Before Azmin and Shamsidar went for the haj pilgrimage last year, they met mother. Mother had advised them to repent. I heard Shamsidar saying they will.
“However, despite all the allegations (it was) I that have been described as an outcast in the family. This is not true as I am close with the family but it is Azmin who chose to distance himself,” she said.
Meanwhile, Ummi Hafilda also attempted to paint Azmin as a one-time loyalist of former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“When Azmin was 25, he would follow Mahathir anywhere. Mahathir had even visited and shortly tended Azmin when he lost his kidney. Yet, Azmin had turned against Mahathir later,” she said while showing three pictures of Azmin with Mahathir.
Training her guns on Anwar, Ummi Hafilda described him as a hypocrite who had enriched himself and his cronies.
She alleged that through Azmin, Anwar had attempted to offer her RM30 million to retract her allegations related to the first sodomy trial.
"I declined the offer as I know Anwar's true character and I am a patriot. You can also ask KS Nallakarupan," she said, referring to Anwar's former tennis buddy turned enemy.
To a question, Ummi Hafilda denied claims that she was being sponsored by former Finance Minister Daim Zainuddin, Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and former Malacca Chief Minister Rahim Tamby Chik.
“There is no truth to such claims. I did not receive anything from Umno or (Prime Minister) Najib (Abdul Razak),” she said.
'Anwar is afraid of me'
To another question, Ummi Hafilda said that she will campaign for Umno and BN if she receives an invitation to do so.
“If anyone is willing to invite me, I will go. Some may say Anwar is a great orator but I know he is afraid of me,” she said.
She said that during the 2008 general elections, she stayed out of the fray and this led to Anwar campaigning "arrogantly".
“You see Anwar spreading lies and because of this the opposition won five states. If I go around the country campaigning that will be the end of Anwar because I know his secrets,” she said.
Ummi Hafilda said she did not help former premier Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in the election campagin as he had attacked Mahathir and introduced questionable policies.
“I am a patriot and that is why in my blog I also attack Pak Lah (Abdullah), when he attacked Mahathir's policies,” she said.

tunku : welcome back ummi. lets give the moron what he deserve to get and that is behind the bars. the double A moron's anwar and azmin will surely have nightmares now.ummi is haunting them now with more exposes and court case.again we challenge anwar to have a debate with ummi or ezam if he got the guts.......does he has one? i think ummi , nalla and ezam should go around together and expose all his dark secrets.i am waiting if anwar has the guts to sue the three of them. anwar had sued Tun Mahathir for a second time of 100 million(lost the 1st case with cost), i am sure ummi will help Tun with all the necessary documents.you days are numbered mr sodomizer.

PM: No point in open debate with Anwar

PUTRAJAYA: There is no point in having an open debate with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as it would not have an outcome, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.
"If we want to have a debate, there must be an outcome. I don't see any outcome (in this debate challenge).
"What is important is the public's opinion and their evaluation," Najib said here Wednesday, when asked if he would take up Anwar's challenge to an open debate.
Instead, the Prime Minister said both Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat should present their respective economic policies for the people to evaluate and decide for themselves.
Anwar had challenged the Prime Minister to an open debate next week over his comments that Pakatan Rakyat's goals could lead the nation to bankruptcy.
Pakatan Rakyat said recently that if it formed the next federal government, it would reform critical institutions like the police, Election Commission, the Attorney-General's Chambers and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, and reward teachers with an additional RM500 monthly renumeration - all within 100 days.
Asked about Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin challenging Anwar to a debate on the economy, the Prime Minister said: "I will not stop him."
Khairy, on Tuesday, challenged Anwar to debate with him instead of the Prime Minister, saying that it was sufficent for the Opposition to engage in a debate with him as "Anwar was not at the same level with Najib."

tunku : there is actually no point to debate with anwar.we had seen before the petrol issue debate between him and shabery chik.there's no outcome.instead he used the stage to condemn the government.like the pm said, anwar should instead table it out their full action plan to fulfilled all their so called promises.they should present their respective economic policies for the people to evaluate and decide for themselves. after all who is anwar to debate with the pm? is he a party president? if he really wants to debate, he can debate with those who had challenged him to debate.

Opposition's 100-day Reform Plan Unrealistic - Political Analysts

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 11 (Bernama) -- The 100-day reform plan which the opposition pact will implement if it takes over the federal government is regarded as a mere political promise and unrealistic by political analyst Prof Datuk Dr Shamsul Amri Baharudin.
The director of the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's Institute of Ethnic Studies said most of the offers made were not new.
"They (opposition) are just trying to show that they have plans, and I find the ideas to be limited," he said, adding that the programmes contained in the reform plan had already been carried out by the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
He was commenting on the plan which was unveiled at the Pakatan Rakyat national convention last December. It contains nine resolutions touching on management of the country, the economy and education which are to be implemented within 100 days of taking power if they win the 13th general election.
Citing the proposed abolishment of toll, Shamsul Amri said although it was a good proposal, he had doubts about the method.
"Actually, Khazanah (Nasional Berhad) and EPF (Employees Provident Fund) which have been suggested in the reform plan to take over the highway assets in order to abolish toll, have many other sectors to manage.
"But the opposition does not see this. They did not state the other areas being managed by EPF and Khazanah as they fear the fact that these two organisations has helped the government a lot.
"I was surprised why they did not state the real facts, and to me, what they said were only half-truths and hid the rest."
On the opposition pact's plan to increase the monthly salary of teachers by RM500, Shamsul Amri regarded it as childish as it would be better to raise the qualification of primary school teachers to degree level.
"This will give our students quality teachers, hence is more beneficial than giving the teachers RM500 more each, which will not quarantee quality education for our children," he argued.
Shamsul Amri, who was named one of three Distinguished Professors last Dec 15, said the people would not be taken in by the promises frequently made by the PAS-DAP-PKR pact.
Dr Sivamurugan Pandian, a political science lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia, agrees with the prime minister's view that the Pakatan Rakyat's 100-day reform plan was a populist and irresponsible one.
"They only know how to make promises, but even in the states they won (in the 2008 general election), many of the promises remain unfulfilled.
"So, the government needs to convince the people that the 100-day reform plan offered by the opposition is impractical and if it is implemented, it will only burden the people," he said.

tunku : opposition making promises is nothing new.everytime there is election around the corner they will make all sort of promises but without proper action plan.they should tell the people how they would make all those promises possible and from where the money will come to finance those ideas. there is no point for the moron anwar to debate with pm on this matter.he should instead explain to the people what and how it will work.the debate is just a political gimmick.last time we had seen his debate with shabery chik on petrol issue where he did not come out with action plan but only used the platform as his political tool.according to RAM Holdings Bhd's Group chief economist, Dr Yeah Kim Leng, proposals like abolishing the toll system basically transferred the huge financial burden to Khazanah National Bhd and Employees Provident Fund which would likely jeopardize the latter's ability to generate adequate dividends to its contributors' retirement savings.ultimately, the problem will end up in the government's hands and thereon passed to tax payers in the form of higher taxes. proposal to increase oil royalty payments, he said, it would require a corresponding reduction in federal spending or raising revenue from other sources, without which the government would have to resort to higher borrowings.they should tell details from where the fund will come to cover all these.they will have to reduce other budget and which ministry it involves.they should fulfilled their 2008 election promises first before making more lies to the public.

2011 year of food crisis ??

Cooking Oil Crisis In Klang Valley Needs Serious Attention - Consumers

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- Several retailers in the Klang Valley claimed that suppliers of cooking oil have cut sale by up to 50 per cent, resulting in them being unable to meet the demand from consumers.
Although last Wednesday, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob said suppy would be increased by 14,000 tonnes to 84,000 tonnes this month, checks conducted by Bernama today found that most sundry shops had run out of palm cooking oil.
Sundry shop operator Bawa Baharudin, 49, said since two or three weeks ago, suppliers had restricted cooking oil sale to retailers.
"There had been no problems before and we could buy as much as we wanted, usually two boxes per day, but now they only allow us to buy one box which contains 17 packets of 1kg each.
"So, I too have to limit sale to one packet to each customer per day," he lamented.
Cold Storage spokesman Donny Rowlee, 24, said the supermarket had the licence to buy stocks of up to 1,000 kg per month, but their supplier could only supply a maximum of 10 cartons (200 kg) due to the quota allowed by the government for supermarkets, so they were told.
He said the shortage of cooking oil in the Klang Valley had caused panic buying among buyers, especially eateries and sundry shops.
"Last Thursday, we received new supply but by today it is all sold out," he said.
Ong Tai Kim (OTK) Supermarket merchandising manager, Kelana Rabian, said the shortage could have caused by the cooking oil subsidy quota which remained unchanged since four years ago.
"The quota is no longer relevant and it needs to be increased as many more supermakets and sundry shops have emerged," he said, adding that if the subsidy on the supply was not increased by 50 per cent, the shortage would not be resolved.
Kelana suggested that the government tighten enforcement on buying of subsidised goods by using a chip in the identity card to limit purchases and prevent foreign nationals from enjoying the subsidy.
Consumer Siti Nursara Osman, 43, who had just returned from a holiday abroad, was shocked to find that the sundry shop she frequented had run out of cooking oil.
Another consumer, Kuala Lumpur City Hall enforcement officer Hasliani Mohamad Hassan said the shortage of cooking oil affected food business operators most who she believed bought up the cooking oil until none were left on the supermarket or shop shelves.
"They will panic when a crisis like this happens, while 3 kg of cooking oil is usually sufficient for a month or more for an average family," she said.

tunku : for cooking oil it is not actually a shortage of production but it is because panic buying and because some of irresponsible sellers who hide the stocks just hoping for the price to increase to make huge profits. it is good move by the government to increase the production, flood the market with it and i am sure those who hide the stocks will have no choice but to sell it asap. the actual worries about food production this year are the imported especially from australia, china, india, pakistan etc. the products had been destroyed by the recent and on going floods situation in their countries. we can see prices for onion, garlic, fruits, vegetables have increase tremendously.our country is affected by this increase and shortage and i am sure it will keep increasing in the coming months.the restaurant operators too will surely increase the price resulting the consumers to spend more on food.so this year it is likely to be a food crisis year.

Umno Youth Calls For Action Against Ng Wei Aik

GEORGE TOWN, Jan 9 (Bernama) -- Umno Youth has urged the Penang government to act against Komtar state assemblyman Ng Wei Aik for his racist comments at nasi kandar operator Syed Kassali Mohamad Aliyar.
Information chief Datuk Seri Reezal Merican criticised Ng for ordering the sealing and seizing of things in the restaurant.
"He came like a mafia and directed enforcement officers to act against the nasi kandar restaurant operator," he said here Sunday.
Ng who is also political secretary to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is alleged to have uttered "tutup kedai, balik India" to Syed Kassali on Sunday.

tunku : if it was a umno leader who made the racist remark then day and night 24/7, the opposition leaders will shout , scream, etc.there will be demo here, demo there join by pas and pkr but now that this racist remark came from one of them, they put a tape on their mouths.they practices double standard and bunch of hypocrites.i wonder what happened to the mca and gerakan, are they bunch of hypocrites too? why no comments from them?

Khairy the drama king ???

Election: It's Between The PM And I, Said Khairy

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 8 (Bernama) -- The Member of Parliament for Rembau, Khairy Jamaluddin, said that whether he will contest in the coming general election is a decision involving only Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and himself.
"It's a matter between the Prime Minister and I," he told reporters briefly after meeting Najib at a session between the prime minister and Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs at the Putra World Trade centre, here Saturday.
Khairy, who is also the Umno Youth head, recently confirmed speculation that he would not be defending his Rembau Parliamentary seat in the next general election.
Earlier, Khairy, who is also the BN Youth chairman, created a stir in the Twitter when he announced his decision to take a rest from politics.
"Hope to help win more youth support for BN (Barisan Nasional) in 2011 & work hard preparing for elections. Then I'm taking a break from politics. Can't wait," he said through the Twitter.

tunku : why must kj says it's a matter between him and pm when he had decided that he won't contest in the coming GE. we hope besides modelling , he won't try acting(which he did with namewee) and becomes a drama king.do not change your mind if you had decided not to contest as Umno will benefit from your decision not to contest.

"RAPE VICTIM" DENIED BEING RAPED ?????

Maid Denies Being Raped By Minister

JAKARTA, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- An Indonesian woman has vehemently denied that she was raped by Malaysia's Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim when she worked as a domestic helper at the latter's home in Kuala Lumpur for eight years until 2007.
She refuted the allegation to four members of the Semarang branch of the Indonesian Workers Protection and Treatment Centre (BP3TKI) who met her and her husband, reported a news portal, detik.com Friday.
In a written statement signed by her, the 46-year-old woman, asserted that her employer had never made any sexual advances towards her.
"I worked for eight years at Datuk's home. Everything was fine, I had never encountered any problem, especially related to rough treatment and inappropriate behaviour towards me," she said in the statement.
The denial was revealed to detik.com by National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers chairman Jumhur Hidayat.
Jumhur said with the denial, the alleged rape had never occurred.
"The maid has denied the allegation in person and in writing that she was raped and subjected to inappropriate behaviour while working with her employer's family in Malaysia," said Jumhur.
He said the maid had also made the denial to Indonesia's Manpower and Transmigration Minister Muhaimin Iskandar.
"The maid, who returned to her village in Central Java province after leaving Malaysia, is now living in peace and calm in her tranquil village," said Jumhur.
On Wednesday, Rais denied an allegation that he had raped his maid in 2007 as alleged by bloggers and the opposition.
Meanwhile, when reporters met the former maid at her home, she decribed Rais as a good-hearted man and that she never had any problems with him.
"Datuk Rais Yatim is a good man. News reports going around saying I was raped are not true at all. I used to receive money and gifts from him while in his employ," she was quoted as saying by the detik.com news portal.
She also said that during her employment at Rais'home from 1999 till 2007, she was once given one-and-a-half months leave.
She said she worked at his home together with three other maids from Indonesia.
"Usually we divide up our duties. I help in catering whenever a function is held in Datuk's home. Besides this I also open the gate when Datuk comes home," she said.
She added that if Rais was a bad man and had not treated her well, obviously she would not have withstood working that long at his house.
Rais' entire family treated all the maids very well, she said.
"As such, news reports alleging that I was raped by Datuk are totally false," she said.
The woman's 52-year-old husband, who was by her side during the interview, said the rape allegations came as a shock to him, more so claiming the victim was his wife.
"Throughout her stay in Malaysia, my wife never at any time had complained that she was not treated well by her employer," he said.

tunku : what else to say now? the so called victim has denied she was raped.where else in anwar's sodomy case, the victim was sodomized and admitted it.i guess the opposition leaders will be so frustrated with this news as they were hoping to use this allegation in the coming Tenang by-election.it is weird that husam did interview the so called raped victim in 2007 and did not say anything or used this issue during the 2008 election as he knew it was a total lie but still kept silent on the whole issue as it was benefiting them.sorry guys, try and get a new story now.bad luck.

Khalid Samad accused Agong being used by Umno.

'Agong used to draw Nik Aziz to controversial meet'

PAS MP Khalid Samad said Umno used the Agong to entice the PAS spiritual advisor to a dinner with the PM and DPM.
PAS Shah Alam parliamentarian Khalid Samad today said that Umno used the Agong to draw PAS spiritual advisor Nik Aziz Nik Mat into the controversial meeting on Dec 25 at the Istana Terengganu Palace in Kuala Lumpur.
"This actually shows how desperate Umno is. They have to use the Agong to invite PAS leaders to dinner," said Khalid at a press conference in his service centre in Shah Alam today.
Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin were also present.
This led to speculation that talks for a 'Unity Government' were being revived.
Nik Aziz has refused to comment on the rendezvous to the media stating that he had to respect the confidentiality of the closed meeting.
However, Khalid said that a briefing was given by the PAS spiritual advisor on the matter at a meeting of the Kelantan PAS information body.
He joked that the situation must indeed be dire for Umno that Premier Najib Abdul Razak and his deputy Muhyiddin Yassin agreed to appear at the same dinner.
"It is not easy for the PM and DPM to appear together," jibed Khalid.

tunku : is khalid samad trying to say that DYMM Agong can be used so easily by anyone? this is big insult to DYMM Agong. these pakatan leaders seems to be all out against the Rulers. he had insulted DYMM Agong by saying that the DYMM Agong had been used by Umno to invite nik aziz and hadi awang whereby it was the Agong's wish to do so. this show how dirty these pakatan leaders are.nik aziz and hadi awang should clear this matter whether DYMM Agong had been used by Umno or not. khalid the moron too had said its not easy for pm and dpm to appear together......i think this moron is so stupid that he can make such statement.what is so weird about the pm and dpm appears together in a function....there are hundreds if not thousand of functions attended by both at the same time.we can truly sees now the true colours of these devils now.for them unity is last, power comes first.

Sultan regrets manipulation of his statements

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah regrets that his statements have been manipulated by certain quarters and reiterated that he is apolitical.
He said there was no need to politicise and sensationalise the appointment of the state secretary and that the appointment was lawful.
The Sultan was speaking after new Selangor State Secretary Datuk Mohd Khusrin Munawi took his oath of loyalty at Istana Bukit Kayangan here Thursday.
In his address, the Sultan said he had told state exco members on Dec 5, when they attended an event commemorating his birthday, that he was apolitical.
"My only intent is to see Selangor, which I love, always peaceful, and that its multiracial and multi-religious community live in harmony and close cooperation with each other."
He also said Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim has a regular audience with him and that during these sessions, they often exchanged opinions and discussed issues for the betterment of the state.
"I want the people of Selangor to enjoy the state's wealth collectively, as well as obtain whatever they need in their daily lives.
"Given this, if Selangor is peaceful and all parties carry their responsibilities honestly and with commitment, the development and progress achieved can be truly enjoyed by the people."
Sultan Sharafuddin urged and advised not to politicise the appointment of the state secretary as this would only burden the people and delay progress.
The Sultan also congratulated Mohd Khusrin on his appointment as the new state secretary.
"I would like to stress that the appointment of the Selangor state secretary was done according to the rules and procedures enshrined in the state and federal constitutions.
"I hope the new state secretary will be able to carry out his duties and responsibilities well."
He instructed all civil servants in Selangor to cooperate with Mohd Khusrin so that the state administration would run smoothly.
Sultan Sharafuddin also instructed Mohd Khusrin to execute state policies by the government of the day in accordance with the current rules and regulations.
tunku : when the Ruler himself has said that he had consented and approved the appointment of khusrin why would this moron want to go against it? furthermore the appointment of khusrin is lawful.the appointment need not be referred to the menteri besar as clause 1 and 2 of article 52 stipulated that it must be done by a relevant commission(that is SPA), and the appointee must be a Muslim and Malay.i guess that is why the dap is asking khalid to bring it to the assembly so that they could change the rule where dap can put up their candidate for the post.

Ruler's Consent Still Necessary, Says Dr Mahathir

SHAH ALAM, Jan 6 (Bernama) -- The PKR-led Selangor government has still to obtain the consent of the Sultan of Selangor even after it amends the state constitution to revert authority to the sultan and menteri besar in the appointment of the state's top three civil servants, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.
He said the matter would eventually depend on whether the state government obtained the signature of the sultan or otherwise because without the signature and consent of the sultan, the amendment would not become law.
"The Selangor government requires a two-third majority in the state assembly session to amend the constitution. I do not know whether they will obtain the two-third majority," he told reporters after delivering a keynote address at seminar on unity at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), here.
Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim had said that the state government would convene an emergency session of the state assembly to amend the state constitution to revert to the sultan and the menteri besar the authority to appoint the state's top three civil servants, namely the state secretary, state legal advisor and state financial officer.
The appointment of Mohd Khusrin Munawi, 54, as the new state secretary was disputed by Abdul Khalid because he was allegedly not consulted over the appointment.
Dr Mahathir also said that he felt that it was not necessary to call the next general election soon although there were what could be regarded as political indicators of impending elections of late.

tunku : whatever they do they must face the Sultan and get his consent.i just don't understand with what face is khalid going to face the Sultan after going against the Sultan's choice? furthermore they don't have 2/3 majority.so what drama are they playing right now?

GET OUT from Utusan Hata Wahari

NUJ hopes Utusan calls off inquiry on its president

KUALA LUMPUR: The National Union of Journalists still hopes that Utusan Melayu will "seriously consider" calling off the domestic inquiry of its president, Hata Wahari, who is en employee of the media organisation. NUJ general secretary V.Anbalagan said the union at its emergency executive council meeting on Tuesday night unanimously held that Utusan's claim that Hata had tarnished the organisation's image with statements he issued is "ludicrous".
"Hata, in his capacity as NUJ president, issued the statements in defence of press freedom and the welfare of members," he said in a statement.
Hata is facing eight counts of misconduct for issuing statements to news portals Malaysikini, Malaysian Insider and Merdeka Review, and The Sun newspaper between Sept 21 and Oct 14 last year. The company had earlier fixed the domestic inquiry for today, but, in a letter dated Monday, deferred the case to Jan 17.
Anbalagan said the NUJ regards the domestic inquiry against Hata, who is also the Confederation of Asean Journalists president, as an act of victimisation of a union leader.
"It is also aimed at crippling the NUJ leadership and to serve as a warning to Utusan Melayu-based unionists," he added.
The company had previously held a domestic inquiry against NUJ former branch chairman Amran Ahmad, which led to his dismissal in September 2009, and his case is now in the Industrial Court.

tunku : you may be the president of your union but that doesn't give you the license to condemn your employee openly.if you are not happy with utusan, be man enough to resign and join any other media which you think is better for you.he got other platform to address his issues with his employer not by going to other media.we demand utusan to finish its inquiry asap and sack this moron out from utusan.he should not bite the hands that feeds him.it is best for him to resign from utusan and one thing for sure pkr will embrace him and make him a candidate for next election.get out hata wahari.

Khusrin's appointment: Palace hits out at S'gor leaders

PETALING JAYA: The Selangor palace has hit out at state leaders for making inaccurate and misleading statements, and for attempting to incite hatred against the Sultan over the appointment of new state secretary Datuk Mohd Khusrin Munawi.
The palace singled out statements made by Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, Sri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafiei, state speaker Datuk Teng Chang Khim, and Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lau Weng San.
It described as inaccurate the statement made by Khalid that the Sultan of Selangor did not have the power to accept or reject candidates nominated by the Public Service Commission.
The Sultan’s private secretary Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani also lambasted Seri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi for making an offensive remark in his blog on Dec 30 describing the Sultan as “beraja di mata, bersultan di hati (King in the eye, Sultan at heart)”.
He said such a statement could be construed as warning the Sultan, and inciting the rakyat to hate the Sultan.
He also pointed out a news article on Dec 29 quoting Lau as saying that the appointment of the state secretary need not be made by PSC.
Munir clarified that for Selangor, the appointment was under the purview of the Federal civil service commission.
He also pointed out that Teng could not convene an emergency state assembly meeting without the consent of the Sultan.
He said this in response to Teng’s claim on Tuesday that an emergency state assembly meeting could be convened without the consent of the Sultan.

tunku : that is why i am saying that khalid is a moron mb.he doesn't know anything about the constitution.he is doing what is told to him by others.he's not using his own brain.how can he said that the Sultan does not have any say/power in the appointment of the SUK. the Sultan consent/signature is a must.same goes for the so called emergency state assembly meeting that they are seeking which can't be convened without the consent of Sultan.even it is passed in the assembly(that too if they have 2/3 majority) it still need Sultan's approval.so basically khalid is wasting his time, the state government precious time on things that are beyond his hands.

S’gor MB wants state constitution amended

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor state government wants the state constitution amended to return the power of appointing the state secretary to the Sultan and the Mentri Besar.
Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said he had asked Speaker Datuk Teng Chang Khim to call for an emergency state legislative assembly meeting to discuss making amendments to the state constitution.
Khalid told reporters that the amendments must return the power to the Selangor palace and the Mentri Besar in all matters concerning the appointments of the state secretary, financial officer and legal adviser.
Khalid, who met Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah earlier in the day, said the Sultan had told him he had no power to either reject or accept appointments made by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
This was because the laws, including the Selangor constitution, was amended in this area during the 1993 constitutional crisis, he added.
Khalid said the new state secretary Datuk Mohd Khusrin Munawi would not be sworn in before him and, given this, could not attend state-related meetings deemed confidential, including the weekly executive council meeting.
Khalid also said that the he and the executive council members would not attend any function commemorating Mohd Khusrin’s appointment.
Khalid also said that the state government would be writing to the PSC over the appointment of a qualified and appropriate candidate to fill the state secretary’s post vacated by Datuk Ramli Mahmud on Dec 31 last year.
Khalid said he will not be attending Khusrin's loyalty pledge ceremony before the Sultan on Thursday.
Mohd Khusrin, appointed by the PSC, reported to work this morning.
Meanwhile, in a tweet Monday evening, Teng wrote: "No comment! No comment! No comment!"

tunku : i have said it earlier that this khalid ibrahim is a moron mb,he doesn't know anything about the constitution.he does not even know that they need 2/3 majority to amend the constitution which they don't have and the state constitution cannot overrule the federal constitution.after all royal consent is also required before the emergency sitting can be convened which is doubted to be consented.we hope khalid will start using his brain rather following orders from the dap.

Spirit Exists To Strengthen Umno In Kedah, Says Mukhriz

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- Kedah Umno liaison deputy chief Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir said there already existed a spirit among the state Umno leaders and members to set aside trivial issues for the sake of strengthening the party and to return the state's administration to Umno.
He said even if there were any differences between the leaders or members at the divisional or branch level, they were regarded as minor as there were bigger party interests to think of.
"We are optimistic about resolving the problems and are prepared to face the next general election," said Mukhriz after chairing the 1Malaysia National Youth Chamber of Commerce (1MNYCC) Pro-Tem Committee meeting, here, Monday.
In the party's recent organisational reshuffle involving the liaison chairman and deputy chairman posts in some states, effective Jan 1 this year, Datuk Paduka Ahmad Bashah Md Hanapiah was appointed Kedah Umno liaison chief, replacing Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal, and Mukhriz, the deputy.
Asked about the new appointments, the International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister said it was too early to see the impact.
"However, based on the feedback I've received so far, the outlook is positive," said Mukhriz, who is also Jerlun Member of Parliament.
Mukhriz said the Kedah Umno liaison's task would be focused on raising the people's confidence in Barisan Nasional's capability in administering the state, compared to the current administration under the PAS-DAP-PKR state government.
"Comparing the two, I think it is clear that BN is more able and capable," he said.

tunku : the appointment of ahmad bashah and mukhriz as the new kedah umno liaison chief and deputy will bring the state umno into a new dimension with greater future. we believe the kedahan too are happy with their appointments compare to the past leadership under mahadzir khalid.the new team must work extra hard, round the clock to win back the people's heart and with all the efforts it is not impossible to do so, in fact the chances of BN to regain victory in kedah is very good.kedah state government under the pakatan, had failed miserably to develop the state.kedahans are not happy with them.we hope mukhriz and ahmad bashah will take this opportunity to the fullest to wrest back the state from pakatan.

Padang Serai PKR plunges into controversy over no-confidence move

GEORGE TOWN: Padang Serai MP N. Gobalakrishnan who has been in the news of late for criticising the PKR leadership is embroiled in yet another controversy - this time involving the Padang Serai PKR division which he heads.
Both he and division deputy chairman Johari Ismail are claiming they had convened a meeting with committee members at the same time.
Johari, who claimed Gobalakrishnan was lying, said he had convened a meeting with 15 other committee members to call for an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to pass a vote of no confidence against Gobalakrishnan.
However, Gobalakrishnan claimed Johari did not have enough quorum to hold the meeting as he himself had chaired the division meeting with 18 committee members at the same time.
“Altogether, there are 15 elected and five appointed committee members plus the chairman, deputy, vice-chairman, secretary, treasurer and information chief,” said Gobalakrishnan.
“How can there be 16 committee members having a meeting at a hotel in Lunas from 5pm to 6.30pm when I am having the division meeting with 18 committee members at the division office here in Padang Serai at the same time?” he asked.
When told of what he had said, Johari claimed Gobalakrishnan was lying.
He also said that besides the committee members, about 150 members consisting of local councillors and community leaders had attended the meeting in Lunas.
Johari said the committee would inform the state party chairman and the secretary-general of the meeting, and the next step would be to call for an EGM within 14 days.
He said they also issued a statement clarifying that the division’s 4,000 members did not support or condone Gobalakrishnan’s actions
“Whatever he is doing now is based on a personal agenda, and does not involve the division,” he said, adding that the division’s members supported the central leadership and stood firm behind their leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Johari said those at the meeting also advised Gobalakrishnan, who had stated that he wanted to remain in the party, that he should resign from the party if he could not follow its policies or agree with its leadership.
“That is the most logical thing to do, in any organisation,” he said.
Gobalakrishnan had earlier in the day issued a press statement saying that certain leaders were trying to throw him out of the party of which he was a founding member in 1999.

tunku : gobala should realized by now that pkr doesn't need him now and what johari did was an order from the top leadership who wanted gobala to be ousted.as i had said earlier, gobala should join zaid ibrahim's party as his days are numbered in pkr.you go against anwar and azmin then you don't have any chance left in the party.the two lovers are untouchable.pkr is all about anwar and azmin, not the people.

GOOD NEWS :Khairy will not recontest his Rembau parliamentary seat.

Umno Youth leader Khairy Jamaluddin confirmed speculations that he will 'stand down' from contesting the Negeri Sembilan parliamentary seat of Rembau, which he currently holds, in the next general elections.
Khairy had earlier tweeted that he is taking a break from politics and wanted to focus on other things, fueling speculations that he will not be returning to Parliament.
He added in another tweet that intended to 'stand down' in order to focus on a couple of things he said he would like to do before it gets too late, without elaborating.
Despite his remarks about “other things”, his standing down from contesting may be a reaction to his being apparently sidelined in the BN government.
Unlike his predecessors, Khairy was not given a ministerial post despite being elected Umno Youth leader, an exception that some believe is a sore point for the youth leader.

tunku: it is a very good news we are hearing in the new year of 2011.at last he knows that he is not well received by the grassroots.the damage he did during the leadership of his father in-law has done enough damaged that whatever he does now, people still can't forget.it is best decision by him to take a break from politics.we hope that he will do what he has said today.he should not change his mind at the last minute.may be he should do more catwalk than politics.

Settle state secretary dispute in court, law expert tells Khalid

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 1 — A constitutional law expert has suggested that Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim’s best chance to break the impending stalemate over the controversial appointment of the new state secretary is to take dispute to court.
“The law, as it stands, favours MB Khalid and the Selangor Pakatan administration,” Professor Dr Abdul Aziz Bari told The Malaysian Insider today.
The lecturer, who specialises in constitutional law at the International Islamic University (IIUM) here, pointed to the Selangor state constitution to back his assertion.
Article 52 (4) of the Selangor state constitution stipulates that the state secretary “shall take and subscribe in the presence of the Mentri Besar the following oath of secrecy.”
There is no mention that the state secretary’s oath of office has to be done in the presence of the Sultan.
“Under the state constitution, the power to appoint the ex-officio members of the exco — including the SS — is with the Sultan,” Abdul Aziz (picture) said, calling the state secretary post by its initials.
“But he (the Sultan) has to consider the names submitted by the relevant service commission; and before he does that, the Sultan must consider the advice of the MB,” the academic added.

tunku : if khalid is smart enough and not a moron he should not bring this matter to court but to consult the Sultan of Selangor. if he brings this matter to court that means he's challenging the Sultan too who had consented the appointment of khusrin. let say if the court decides otherwise and Sultan does not agree with the names by the mb then how? it is best for the moron mb to seek an audience with the Sultan to resolve the matter.

Lets do aerobic at the mosque:Nik Aziz

Aerobics not prohibited in mosques, says Nik Aziz

KOTA BARU: Islam does not prohibit any activity, including aerobics, to be carried out in the compound of a mosque as long as such activities do not contravene Syariah principles, said PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.
He said it should not be a problem for either Muslims or non-Muslims to conduct any activity outside or inside the mosque.
“In Islam, it is not wrong for certain quarters to hold activities in mosques because even during the time of Prophet Muhammad, non-believers were also allowed to enter mosques because they also acted as the centre for various activities, including politics,” he told reporters after delivering a Friday sermon at Dataran Ilmu, here Friday.
The Kelantan Mentri Besar was commenting on the action of Serdang MP Teo Nie Ching who was reported to have entered the compound of Taman Cheras Jaya Mosque in Balakong, Selangor in tight attire and participated in some aerobics exercise with the congregation of the mosque, which was deemed as not respecting the house of worship.
Nik Abdul Aziz said the question whether the MP was wearing immodest dress was the second thing that needed to be addressed.
"Most importantly, we have to tell them the things that are religiously forbidden while in the mosque ... we have to explain the Islamic rules and regulations before he or she be allowed to enter the mosque,” he said.
Prior to this, Nie Ching had also caused a controversy when she delivered a talk in a surau in Kajang Sentral, Kajang in August. -- Bernama

tunku : my first question is why have to use mosques for aerobics activity? there are many other places for such activities.my second question to nik aziz, during prophet Muhammad SAW time is there any such activities(aerobic type) held in the mosque for muslim and non muslim? if they held "gotong royong","ceramah", talks on the society then we can understand but why aerobics? if nik aziz really follows Islamic teaching, does it make sense man and woman bending down at each other in the same area in the mosque compound? looks like nik aziz will give his life to defend dap.bravo nik aziz.

Malaysia wins AFF-Suzuki Cup on 4-2 aggregate; PM declares Friday a public holiday

JAKARTA: Malaysia has won the AFF-Suzuki Cup on a 4-2 aggregate. Indonesia won the second leg of the final 2-1 in Jakarta on Wednesday night while Malaysia had won the first leg 3-0 in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
The scorers for Indonesia were Mohammad Ridwan (87th minute) and Mohammad Nasuha (71st). Safee Sali had scored in the 53rd minute to put Malaysia 1-0 in the lead.
It was a significant success for Malaysia as the last time the senior national team became champions in a regional competition was at the 1989 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur.
t was also the first time in the AFF Championships since 1996 that Malaysia has become champions.
To make it a grand night for Malaysia, Safee won the Golden Boot award with five goals to his name. The striker was on target twice in the first leg.
Later Wednesday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak declared Friday, Dec 31, a public holiday in recognition of our team's AFF-Suzuki Cup triumph.
Malaysia started with the same line-up that was fielded in the first leg, except for midfielder Mohd Amirulhadi Zainal and right-back Mahali Jasuli, who were suspended. The duo were replaced by Mohd Ashaari Shamsuddin and Mohd Sabree Abu respectively.
The Indonesians were without their inspirational flanker Okto Maniani, who was also out on suspension while striker Yongky Ari Bowo was out with an injury. Their replacements were Arif Suyono and Irfan Bachdim respectively.
As expected, Indonesia came charging from the starting whistle but the Malaysian defence led by Mohd Muslim Ahmad and Mohd Fadhli Shas did well to keep a tight leash on Indonesian dangermen Christian Gonzales and Irfan Bachdim.
But a lapse of concentration inside the box resulted in Indonesia winning a penalty in the 15th minute, when Mohd Sabree handled the ball.
However, much to the disappointment of the Indonesian fans, skipper Firman Utina’s tame kick was saved by Malaysian goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.
The Indonesians, who were desperate for an early goal, kept on pressing for the opening goal but Khairul Fahmi proved to be a stumbling block, denying at least five attempts at goal before the half-time break.
Malaysia took the lead against the run of play in the 53rd minute, when Ashaari sent a long through ball for Safee to chase, and the Selangor hitman scored a clinical goal.
Despite being a goal down, Indonesia never gave up and their persistence paid off as defender Mohammad Nasuha pounced on a loose ball from goalkeeper Khairul’s save to hit the roof of the net in the 71st minute.
Then with the clock ticking away, Muhammad Ridwan scored from a goal-mouth melee in the 87th minute but this was not enough to deny Malaysia the AFF-Suzuki Cup.

tunku : WELL DONE MALAYSIA.these young boys had made the malaysian feel proud.we have won it at bukit jalil with full dignity and that was enough.in jakarta despite all the psychological warfare played by the indonesia side, our boys did well too though they lost 2-1.overall it was a fantastic display by our team.we hope this victory is not the end for us but the beginning of our football future.it should be the starting point of our football to go to the higher level.SYABAS and MALAYSIA BOLEH.

Gobalakrishnan insists newly-minted vice-president N Surendran is not even a party member

The war of words between the Padang Serai MP from PKR, N Gobalakrishnan, and the party leadership rages on, with the former casting doubts over the legitimacy of the recent appointments in the party.
NONEHoning in on newly-minted vice-president N Surendran - a relative political novice - Gobalakrishnan had questioned his credentials, insisting that he is not even a party member.
“It makes me wonder how Surendran was appointed when he was not even a member of the party. I question his integrity when he speaks about the PKR election,” said Gobalakrishnan (more popularly known as Gobala).
The former MIC Youth leader also alleged that Surendran - a human rights lawyer - did not vote during the recently-concluded party elections.
“His name doesn't appear in the voters' list of the Lembah Pantai cabang where he claims to be a member or any other cabang in the country.
“Can he show proof of where he voted or at least produce three witnesses who have seen him voting or attend the divisional annual general meeting? Then again, I know that there are means to slot his name or any name in the voters list if (PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim) wishes to do so,” he said snidely in a statement this morning.
Trouble started between Gobalakrishnan and the party when he had openly supported former PKR leader Zaid Ibrahim in alleging that the party elections had been riddled with malpractices and fraud.
However, it intensified after the announcement of the new party appointments which saw the Indian quota for vice-presidency going to Surendran, who until now had never held any party position.
Gobalakrishnan had then took to Twitter, hurling vitriol at the party leaders, namely Anwar and deputy president Azmin Ali, claiming that they do not care about the welfare of the Indian community.
'But I am not ranting'
Claiming that his tweets were not “rants”, Gobalakrishnan insisted that his statements were also “not vague, baseless or unproductive”.
“I do not have any personal agenda or gain in all that I do. I always strive for justice for all especially the downtrodden Indian community. This has been my struggle since I started my political career in MIC about 23 years ago,” he said.
He had also challenged the party to address several Indian issues including reopening the Hindu Sivan Temple in Bukit Gasing as well as the poor estate workers in the Coalfields estates.
Claiming that Anwar had shut down construction of the temple within just 100 days of Pakatan Rakyat helming the Selangor state government, Gobalakrishnan said that it was due to the “dragon fencing”.
“This problem existed during the BN rule in Selangor but they did not go to the extreme of closing the temple! Being a successful human rights lawyer, I challenge Mr Surendran to assist to open the temple to the devotees for the New Year,” he said.
It was previously reported back in 2009 in The Sun that a stop-work order was issued on the temple in 2007 because of safety concerns on the landslope development. Only an area of 1,400 sq m was approved for the temple but the final plans showed it occupying 5,400 sq m.
Gobalakrishnan had also claimed that the Coalfields estate workers are being evicted from their quarters without compensation.
“The above are only a very few of the many problems faced by the Indian community in the country which Anwar is not bothered to assist. He doesn't care about the Indian community,” he said.
“If any disciplinary action should be taken, it should be against Anwar first for closing the Bukit Gasing Sivan temple and (Selangor exco member) Xavier Jayakumar for using gangsterism during the recent PKR elections,” he said.

tunku : gobala still don't know who is the moron anwar.if he knew anwar, he won't complaint as this is the character of anwar.he only gives to his cronies and the chosen one.gobala is not the favourite one any longer.it is best for gobala to join zaid ibrahim.i am sure gobala can be the vice president of KITA.anwar has cheated the indians big time.

TBS-BTS Terminal: Another Modern Landmark Of Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 26 (Bernama) -- The new integrated transport terminal in Bandar Tasik Selatan here, which starts operating on Jan 1, will make life more comfortable for commuters.
While improving the public transportation service, the RM570 million terminal will ease traffic congestion in the city centre.
A Bernama check found that the terminal is equipped with advanced features, including centralised 24-hour customer service facilities, e-ticketing counters, public information display systems, dedicated halls for arrivals and departures, an executive lounge, suraus and WiFi service. It even has rooms for changing nappies.
The terminal also caters for the disabled, with directional tiles, lowered counters and special toilets, elevators and ramps.
Covering 19.8 hectares, the six-floor terminal has 55 bus platforms, 150 taxi bays, 1,000 parking bays (with special parking bays for women) and 1,800 seats for the public in its fully air-conditioned waiting halls.
The terminal is to help attain the transport ministry target of increasing the use of public transportation in the Klang Valley to 25 per cent in 2012 from the present 16 per cent.
MAJU Terminal Management and Services managing director Roslan Mohd Shariff said the terminal is a continuation of the Kuala Lumpur Sentral project -- only bigger.
"If the terminal is a success, it will be a model for other transport terminals in Malaysia and Southeast Asia," he told Bernama.
He said the three-colour stripes on the terminal's logo symbolised the transport systems available -- the Rapid KL LRT, Express Rail Link and the KTM Komuter.

100-Day Reform: Wait For Opposition To Rule, Says Nik Aziz

KOTA BAHARU, Dec 25 (Bernama) -- PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat has asked Barisan Nasional (BN) to wait for the opposition pact to take over the federal government before their 100-day reform plan unveiled at the recent Pakatan Rakyat convention, can be implemented.
"We will implement it when Pakatan is able to rule the country. Just wait. Don't be like a gangster," he said after a mass wedding organised by the state government for 101 couples at the Kelantan PAS training centre, here, Saturday.
Nik Aziz, who is also Kelantan Menteri Besar, was responding to Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyidin Yassin's challenge yesterday for Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to raise the salary of civil servants in opposition-ruled states by RM500.
Among the 10-point resolutions passed at the convention was to raise the salary of civil servants by RM500 within 100-days in the event the opposition pact could take over Putrajaya.
Nik Aziz said what was important in administering the country was ensuring prosperity for the people.
He said PAS would implement Islamic administration according to its own mould based on stipulated Islamic rulings if it came into power.
On the mass wedding, Nik Aziz said he was against parents imposing a big amount of dowry on the bridegroom to make marrying affordable.
"When I got married, I only gave my wife RM100 in dowry. In fact, if anyone wants to marry my daughter, I will only ask for RM1,000," he added.
Nik Aziz said marriage was important to prevent social ills such as illicit sex and dumping of babies.

tunku: another big lie from the senile old man.what has he implemented in kelantan after 20 years? the last GE promises yet to be fulfilled and now more lies from them.the senile old man said that pas would implement Islamic administration according to its own mould based on stipulated Islamic rulings if it came into power but pkr and dap has stated that they will not support any Islamic state implementation.even nizar had said in Perak state assembly that Islamic state and hudud in not in any of pas agendas.i guess the senile old man should get a full medical check up as he is gone senile very badly.

Pakatan Rakyat fear of 1Malaysia logo

Trader Hurt By Order To Remove Logo

BANTING, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- A part owner of a convenience store here said he felt hurt by the order he received from the Kuala Langat District Council to remove the 1Malaysia on his sign board.
K.Thiyagarajan, 26, said that he and his partners received the directive on Dec 15 and were given seven days to comply.
The deadline was yesterday, but the logo remained on the board this morning.
Thiyagarajan said he was not involved in politics, and 1Malaysia seemed to him a good programme to bring people together.
"I feel as though Selangor has been expelled from Malaysia. What others in the country do, we in Selangor cannot do," he said.
Thiyagarajan has two partners, V.Muniandy, 29, and Mohd Afiq Mohd Tuniman, 24.
He wonders why the logo has to be removed since traders pay for advertising licence, and there was no problems before this.
The Selangor government has banned the use of the 1Malaysia logo on billboards, saying that it carried a political message which was not allowed in advertising.

tunku : this is a moron way of playing politics.why do the selangor government ban the use of the 1Malaysia logo on billboards? may be they have nightmares after looking at the logo.this shows that these people are not confident and using force to the people not to accept something.now we know that 1Malaysia concept is a good concept which is accepted by the majority, that is why these morons fear of the concept.

Utusan’s got 14 days to apologise to Guan Eng

GEORGE TOWN, Dec 22 – Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has given Utusan Malaysia two weeks to apologise before he takes the daily to court.
Lim’s lawyer, Jagdeep Singh Deo, told reporters today he had sent a letter of demand to the national Malay newspaper yesterday asking it to withdraw certain words said to be slanderous in its December 20 article titled “Kebiadaban Guan Eng (The Rudeness of Guan Eng)”.
Utusan had said to have called Lim a racist and an “anti-Malay” in the article that ran a day after the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) rally.
Lim (picture) who is the party’s secretary-general also wants the paper to publish an apology and pay compensation for defaming him.
Jagdeep said Lim had denied the allegations in his notice of demand.
“He has also not gone against the Malays or oppressed them, did not cancel the Maulidur Rasul procession or stop the Malays from trading in Komtar during Ramadan month and has not demolished any villages,” said the lawyer who is also the state DAP vice-chairman,.
“Neither has the chief minister used funds from the Penang Turf Club for the senior citizens’ appreciation programme,” Jagdeep added.
Lim had vowed personal court action against the Umno-owned daily for allegedly calling him a foreign stooge and urging the DAP be banned.
“These are lies printed by Utusan,” the first-term Penang chief minister told The Malaysian Insider two days’ ago.
“I have no choice but to take a civil suit for defamation against Utusan,” Lim said, adding his party would also file a separate defamation suit against the paper.
Jagdeep said Lim had sent Utusan Malaysia five letters of demand since 2008.
One defamation suit has already been filed in court, he added.

tunku : they can say anything to others but others cannot touch them, this is the style of dap's politic.well they are adopting the style from their mentors in singapore. let see how many cases he brings to court.i wonder if the government adopt their way, there will be thousands of defamation suits in court by now against the opposition.

Pas to drop Islamic state and hudud issues for good.....

Karpal: Pakatan Must Discuss Islamic State Issue

DAP national chairperson Karpal Singh said the issue of Islamic state should be urgently discussed by the Pakatan Rakyat as he does not want the BN to exploit the issue at the coming general election.
Karpal (left), who spoke during Pakatan's second convention wrap up session, said the DAP can discuss the issue with PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, PAS spiritual leader and Kelantan menteri besar Nik Aziz Nik Mat and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.
The Bukit Gelugor MP was the only Pakatan leader who raised the controversial issue at the convention.
However, the veteran lawyer, who advised PAS not to repeatedly say that the constitution allows for an Islamic state, found his suggestions well received by the mostly Malay Muslim audience at the convention.
"I would like to advise PAS to defend the non-Malays' right to freedom of religion just as PAS defends Islam as the official religion of the country under the constitution," he said.
"Please give 'face' a bit to DAP," said Karpal in jest, drawing laughter from the crowd.
During his speech, Karpal touched on various issues including Anwar's suspension from Parliament recently and the conduct of the judge in the latter's sodomy case.
The 1,800 crowd who were still glued to their seats at the end of the convention were very receptive towards Karpal's speech, clapping enthusiastically at his jokes and capping his speech with a standing ovation.

tunku : i am sure at the end of karpal's speech the shouted "takbir" as usual. i have read some of the blogs saying that karpal's supported Islamic state but actually its not.in fact karpal had asked pas the drop their Islamic state and hudud agenda and the crowd seems to agree with it.karpal said he agrees with Islam as the official religion of Malaysia.well he has to agree with that as it is stipulated in the constitution.that means pas indirectly has drop the Islamic state and hudud agendas and they should not lie to the people anymore.
