Opposition Has Nothing To Offer To Sarawak

SIBU, April 7 (Bernama) - Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud said Thursday that the opposition had nothing to offer the people of Sarawak except lies and empty promises.
He said this was evident from the "Orange Book" of the opposition which contained promises that could not be kept.
"The promises made in the book are lies because they (the opposition) fail to state the input of talents and source of funds for them to implement the programmes. They will only make the country go bankrupt in three or four years," he said at meet-the-people session at MUC Hall here.
Taib, who is state BN chairman, said the opposition had nothing to show in the states it captured in the last general election.
"Do not think that the people of Sarawak are stupid and can be hoodwinked by the politics of cursing and criticising (the government) and misleading the electorate," he said.
The Chief Minister later unveiled the BN manifesto in a simple ceremony at the same venue.

tunku: opposition just want to create tense and chaos in sarawak, thats all.they have nothing in mind and no vision to develop the state.we understand that the oppositions campaign in sarawak now focusing on condemning taib's 30 years as cm.here we must understand that taib has already announced his retirement in the middle of his new term.so this is not an issue anymore.perhaps the opposition should look at themselves first.pas with the senile old man nik aziz, dap with its lim kit siang, karpal etc and pkr with families and cronies association.

YAB PM has said that over the last two years BN had implemented projects that have improved the lives of the people of Sarawak. I have not made a study but I accept what the PM has said. But what has happened to Sarawak over the last 25 years no one cares. In the meantime Singapore that got independence at the same time as Sarawak and did not even have water has a percapita income to day of S$ 44,000.00. You may rcall that at the time if independence Singaoore's percapita income was S$400.00.

In Sarawak only the Chief Minister and those around him have had their annual incomes incresed by that percentage. We should let the voters decide. Thank You.

It takes an idiot to think that another person is an idiot. If you think that some one is an idiot then you also must be an idiot to think that I am an idiot. Clever people can also learn from idiots who earn S4$44,00.00 a year.

Tunku, I usually do not resort to this knd of language. But please do bear with me. Malaysians are now more than 50 years old and we must show some,' budi bahasa bydaya kita', irrespective of weather we are muslims or non muslims when we discuss issue affecting the nation.Thank you
