Don't Make MCA Scapegoat, Says Loh

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 (Bernama) -- MCA deputy publicity chief Loh Seng Kok said the party should not be made the scapegoat for the dip in Chinese support for Barisan Nasional (BN) in the recent Hulu Selangor by-election which BN won.
Loh was responding to statements made by Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and information chief Ahmad Maslan that MCA must prove itself.
"As Umno is a major party in the coalition, it should be statesman-like, practicising decorum in its effort to work together with MCA," Loh said.
He said MCA would not deny that it had internal problems.
The party was taking steps to review and improve itself but irresponsible and controversial statements would only affect BN's image, he added.

tunku : MCA is not being made scapegoat but what have been said is the truth and actual scenario and MCA should not be in denial syndrome which hit Umno during the last regime and the result we have seen in the last GE. Umno has reformed well under the new leadership and we hope party like MCA,Gerakan,MIC and others will do the same.Hulu Selangor had shown us that MCA failed to do what it was supposed to do.Even their election machinery was a failure there.we want MCA to comeback strong like it used to be.so buckle up and keep moving fast as time is not on our side.chua soi lek should start working hard and talk less.
