Tun Abdullah Happy With Completion Of Khairy's Training

KUALA NERANG, Feb 17 (Bernama) -- Former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi expressed his happiness when Khairy Jamaluddin was awarded wings after successfully completing paratrooper training with the Territorial Army.
"I congratulate him for persevering through the training despite his packed schedule as Rembau Member of Parliament (MP), as it has helped strengthen his spirit.
"Khairy's success could possibly create more interest among the younger generation to join the army," he told reporters after witnessing the closing of the paratrooper training course in Zon Gugur, Padang Sanai, here Thursday.
Also present at the event was Abdullah's wife, Tun Jean Abdullah, Khairy's wife, Nori Tun Abdullah, army field commander Lt-Gen Datuk Seri Ahmad Hasbullah Mohd Nawawi and senior army officers.
As an MP, Abdullah said Khairy showed a good example to youngsters and hoped the training would in turn give him strength to face challenges in politics.
Meanwhile, Khairy, when met, said as a member of the volunteer corps, he had been prepared to go through the five-week training without being given any special privileges.
"This is my way of showing patriotism for the country. Each person has their own way of doing so," he said.

tunku : good for kj and his father in-law. we hope kj will keep to his promises that he will take a break from politics.please join the army kj, i am sure you will be well accepted and don't worry about the age requirement as you will be given special privilege and full blessing from the people.show true patriotism by joining the army and not only for 5 weeks.i hope what pak lah said that the training would give you strength to face challenges is politics won't be too long as you have said this will be the first and last term.walk the talk kj.

Syabas KJ, takpayah ambik cuti. Teruskan pejuangan. Carilah blogger yang fokus pada yang positif dari yang negatif. Tahniah sekali lagi YB KJ.

Harap penulis blog boleh 'balanced' sikit. Sekian.

Good KJ for setting an example by joining the paratrooper training

but...

Bad KJ for setting an example by looting khazanah when your 'bapak mertua ku' was the sleeping PM

But we thing there is more bad than good done.

One more thing, you can set another good example by walk the talk- resign from politics next PRU!

Tunku, I totally agree with you. KJ should join the army and leave politic.

He will be a good soldier but not a politician.

KJ mungkin boleh jadi tentera yang baik tetapi tidak bermakna dia boleh jadi seorang ahli politik yang baik juga.

Peranan dialah yang telah menumbangkan 5 buah negeri ke pembangkang.

i dont know why people keep pointing to KJ. So many corrupted people in UMNO , PKR, MCA, DAP etc etc. So many rise through their fathers,So many got it the easy way even our own PM today- so why pick on one person-KJ-over and over again. As far as Im concerned , at least he is way more intelligent than those political dimwits that many BN bloggers love to praise. And what is wrong with a father in law being proud of a son in law? You find fault with that too????
