SERI ISKANDAR (Lumut): Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad dismissed as nonsense talk of him being the de facto Prime Minister behind Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.He denied that Najib was his man and that he could influence the deputy prime minister.
“That is nonsense. He is his own man. Not my man.
“When Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was appointed PM, I thought he would perhaps consult me on some issues, but as you can see he never asked me anything. In fact, he reversed all I did,” he told reporters after delivering a public lecture on “National Identity and Power Sharing” at Universiti Teknologi Petronas on Thursday.
Dr Mahathir was commenting on a statement by Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who had brushed off talk that he (Dr Mahathir) would be the de facto prime minister if Najib rose to the position.
On the postponement of Umno’s party polls to March next year, Dr Mahathir said it should not have happened as it would not achieve anything.
Dr Mahathir said:
“For five years, he has been the prime minister but nothing has been achieved. The corridors remain corridors.”

tunku : we hope najib will be man of his own but at the same time it is not wrong if najib seek "advise" from the former president, dr mahathir or even pak lah when needed and if it is good for the nation.the nation and it's citizens must always come first before anything.we hope najib will not involve his family and friends in the administration of the country for his own survival and the nation.

cits.jangan ingat rakyat tak tahu yang Najib sebenarnya dari kem Dr.Mahathir.Mahathir mahukan Pak Lah untuk berundur bermakna mungkin mahu Najib untuk mengambil alih.
selepas Abdullah mengumumkan untuk berundur,Najib,Muhyiddin dan Mahathir dilihat sering bersama dalam sesebuah majlis.suratan atau kebetulan?
Mahathir sebenarnya gentar sebab AI semakin lama semakin menjadi-jadi pulak rancangan dia hendak menjadi PM.andaikata AI berjaya jadi PM,Mahathir akan cabut lari ke negara lain.
tapi peluang AI untuk jadi PM masih jauh lagi.AI sendiri pun dah merosot dari segi sokongan kerana ramai juga yang sudah tawar hati pada Anwar.
Oh kalau Najib bukan proxy Mahathir siapa la ek? Mukhriz? Ke Muhyiddin?

Ya mungkin tidak menjadi kesalahan jika Najib merujuk kepada Mahathir dalam perkara-perkara tertentu tetapi adakah nasihat yang diberi oleh Mahthir boleh diguna pakai? Kerana selalunya Mahathir mempunyai pandangan yang baik tapi menghancurkan...
dulu pun masa pak lah nak jadi pm , dia kata akan ikutr nasihat lepas tu hampas, skrg najib pulak.dah jadi pm, ikut suka hati mak bapak depa la, bukan nak ikut nasihat dah.
najib are under attack by the opposition as he will be the nem pm now. last time when pak lah became pm, they attacked him, saying he is a puppet of mahathir, now they are using the same tactic.everyone knows that what pak lah has done.he was never a puppet of mahathir and so will najib. so stop making your stupid assumptions.

Mahathir memang tak habis2 nak mengacau dalam UMNO. Dah berhenti pun masih dia kalau boleh nak campur tangan dalam semua hal dalaman. Sekaranga dia ada Mukhriz, senyum besar la dia.
