KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who erstwhile had been saying the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalition led by him would topple the Barisan Nasional (BN) government, now says the time is not right to do it.He said it was not appropriate to make such a move now in view of the global economic crisis.
"Let's leave it as it is now...we are working towards it. We want to take everyone by surprise," he told reporters at Parliament's lobby today.
Anwar said the government was "poking fun" at the PR's stated aim of overthrowing the BN through constitutional means as though it was a very light matter.
Earlier, he had given reporters copies of PR's alternative budget for 2009 which he said took into consideration the global economic crisis.
The PR's budget forecast government revenue for 2009 to fall by 11 per cent, from RM176 billion to RM157 billion.

looking at the bright side, it is good for him not to pursuit anything during this time of the century,
we have enough of 5hit already and we need the current government to focus all their energy towards improving economy to upward momentum,
but this is good if the current government REALLY focus on improving economy of Malaysia and well-being of Malaysian.
what else can anwar do, he might just shut the hell up and become a good opposition, correct what is not, and agreed on what is right.
He may not become a good leader, but he's a good opposition and much needed in the parliment, maybe we could sacrifice(by having anwar as MP) Permatang Pauh for the sake of all Malaysia?

Apapun nampak sangat Anwar dah lemah, bukan lemah tenaga batin tapi lemah dari segi kekuatan untuk merampas kuasa...Itulah dia manusia yang bernama Anwar Ibrahim yang suka sangat anjak-anjak tarikh dan akhirnya terpaksa akur bahawa bukan senang nak bina kerajaan baru di atas kerajaan yang sedia ada..Anwar memang seorang suka berdolak dalih...

Bila la agaknya masa yang betul kan ANwar. Asyik nak berdolak-dalik. Alasan tak habis-habis.
Kalau tak jadi PM tu terima la hakikat. Banyak lagi benda lain yang boleh dibuat untuk kesejahteraan negara dan diri sendiri.
