Why Anwar and Wan Azizah is keeping their distance from Sg Limau?

Even though the people of Kedah is mourning over the loss of the late Tan Sri Azizan Razak, for PAS members the mourning period has long ended. Thus, it is not confusing for PAS members not to mourn at all, because many of them, especially some of their liberal leaders hated Tan Sri Azizan.

Before Tan Sri Azizan’s passing, among the PAS members, there are those who celebrate the fact that he was admitted to the hospital. When he was bedridden some of them would even joke just to get even because of the late Mentri Besar’s good relations with UMNO.

For those who know him, they would understand that most of Tan Sri Azizan’s family members were UMNO supporters. This also includes his relatives who live in Sg Limau. In the last general election, he was challenged by his own cousin from UMNO. Even though the relation between PAS and UMNO in Kedah strengthens during his time as the Menteri Besar, some of the PAS members and leaders consider this as an act of treason against their party.

The late Tan Sri is famous for his strong stance, which is why he is always seen butting heads with the Central PAS leadership, and even more with the Pakatan Rakyat. Everyone in Malaysia knows that he was the only leader in the Pakatan Rakyat coalition who opposes the “Buku Jingga” or Orange Book. He is also against the Shia cult and any other form of extremism. He even disagrees with the demonstration culture brought by BERSIH.

He didn’t give any special treatment for the DAP and was against any DAP or Anwar Ibrahim influence in Kedah’s administration.

It is not a shocker that Anwar Ibrahim can’t be seen anywhere while PAS is campaigning in Sg Limau. Wan Azizah didn’t even come to show her face in this PAS stronghold. We all know that Anwar Ibrahim didn’t even come to Tan Sri Azizan’s funeral. The same goes to the leaders of DAP, no one came and said their condolences to the family of Tan Sri Azizan up till today.

If Tan Sri Azizan is still alive, he would have not agreed with Anwar Ibrahim regarding the issue of the word “Allah”. Because of this controversial issue, maybe Anwar think that it is best for him not to come. Anwar himself know that his attendance will not be well received and will be known as a liability for Kedah’s PAS.

Anwar is also worried that what happened in Besut might repeat itself. In the Kuala Besut by-election, Anwar’s presence is not felt. Even amongs his minions in PAS also received the same treatment. It is clear that most of the grass root members of PAS opposes Anwar and his Anwarinas team in PAS.

Whether we understand this or not, the Anwarinas will control PAS even though their grass root supporters opposes them. Thus, if PAS won again is Sg Limau, it will be considered as the acceptance of PAS grass root members towards the leadership of Anwarinas in their party.

Sg Limau supporters must take heed of this particular information so that they will make the right choice on the 4th of November 2013.

Please understand that what Tan Sri Azizan had gone through and fought for in PAS. Just imagine the challenges that he has to face to ensure Kedah is clean from any corruption and for those who support extremism such as the Shia cult.

Anwar’s absence in Sg Limau does not mean that PAS is free from his clutches. Now, the late Tan Sri Azizan is no more, and PAS Kedah has lost their protector from the vicious agenda of Anwar and his minions.

The fact of the matter is, it is up to the voters of Sg Limau in understanding and interpreting the struggle and vision of Allayarham Tan Sri Azizan. Only then they can make the right choice in the ballot box without compromising their integrity.
