GE13: Chua tells Johor Chinese not to be misguided and to make the right choice

The MCA has appealed to Chinese voters in Johor not to be misguided by the DAP and make the right choice at the polls on May 5.
Its president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said the Chinese community should understand the risk of changing government because it might lead them to the road of no return if they picked the wrong party.
He reminded the Chinese community that Johor under Barisan and Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman practices its own way of politics moderation.
During his three terms as state executive councillor, Dr Chua said he did not see Chinese in Johor facing problems with land for Chinese schools, places of worship or allocations for non-governmental organisations.
"I dare to say that it has been done fairly," he told a press conference at the Labis MCA office.
Dr Chua said the DAP's slogan wu yue wu, huan zheng fu (government change on May 5) and its large-scale campaigns launched in Johor had misled the Chinese community.
"They make people hate MCA and Umno and said that Chinese would have no future without a change of government," he said.
Dr Chua expressed fears that hate-based politics would create a prejudice between Chinese and Malays.
He said it was a most unhealthy situation and urged the Chinese not to scarifice Johor's racial stability, economy and development, as it would turn the state into a second Kelantan or Kedah.
