KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan today sent an official letter asking the Attorney-General, Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, to file an appeal against Kuala Lumpur High Court's decision on Jan 9 to acquit and discharge Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim from a sodomy charge.
Mohd Saiful Bukhari in his blog said that the letter was sent through his lawyer, Mssrs Zamri Idrus & Co.
He said the letter had to be sent as he had yet to receive any feedback from Abdul Gani pertaining to the notice of appeal.
"Up till today, there is no response from the Attorney-General concerning my father's and my open application to file the appeal. Time is running out," he said.
Mohd Saiful Bukhari if he had the right to file the appeal himself, he would have done it without bothering other individuals.
However, the absolute power to file the appeal was in the hand of the Attorney-General.
tunku : i guess AG is taking his own sweet time on it.it only happens in Malaysia where opposition has the advantages whenever there is a case against them.it's always conspiracy and they are always not guilty, if they are found guilty then the court is wrong and controlled by the government.
