BN wins Hulu Selangor by 1,725 votesBarisan Nasional wins by 1,725 majority. Its candidate, P. Kamalanathan from the MIC, polled 24,997 votes to defeat PKR’s Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, who garnered 23,272 votes. A total of 48,935 people or 75.87% of the eligible voters cast their ballots in the by-election on Sunday.
tunku : congratulation to P Kamalanathan, voters and the BN's machinery that had worked hard for the by election.It is time now to deliver all the promises and for Kamalanathan to give his time and effort for the people of Hulu Selangor.Now BN must win Sibu.

All members big and small gave support to this by election, great show of cooperation by all quarters, past and present.
At ADUN level in 2004, BN had a majority of about 6,000.
So 6,000 less 1,700, BN still need to win back the remaining about 4,300 BN voters.
Are they displaying protest vote 'cos BN did not put a Malay candidate ?

bn lost in all chinese area despite all the financial helps to them. mca and gerakan is a failure.they should buck up and get moving.mic is gaining momentum back but not mca and gerakan.if mca and gerakan did well, bn would have won by more than 5k.
