Several issues are thorns in Malaysia’s side, says Branson
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has a good reputation overseas but there are several issues which the country needs to tackle to attract investors, British tycoon and Virgin group founder Sir Richard Branson said.
He said although the current political climate would not affect Malaysia in a major way, the Government needed to take bold measures to address the issues.
“I do think that Malaysia has a good reputation overseas. Some of the issues like what’s happening to ex-deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim damages Malaysia a lot.
“I think that the more liberal Malaysia can be, the more people are going to want to invest here,” he said when responding to a question if Malaysia could achieve its aim of becoming a high-income nation at the “Dawn of the New Decade: Alternative Investment in Asia” conference here yesterday.
tunku : we don't need people like branson coming here to tell us about our law and moral.people like him can have sex with man but not us. in his country sodomy is legal but not here. we don't need sodomizer investors in our country. only a sodomizer investor will not invest in Malaysia in support of their sodomizer friend.so branson BUTT OUT and bring your butt friend with you.we hope next time the organizer won't call people with loose character to Malaysia for a talk.
