The Home Ministry has succeeded in obtaining a stay of execution against a court ruling for eight compact discs containing the word “Allah” to be returned to their owner.
High Court judge Justice Asmabi Mohamad allowed the stay application pending an appeal.
Clerk Jill Ireland’s CDs were seized on May 11, 2008, at the then low cost carrier terminal (LCCT) in Sepang, when she returned from Indonesia.
The Home Ministry had held then, under the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 (PPPA), that the CDs were in breach of the guidelines of the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (Jakim).
In July last year, High Court (Appellate and Special Powers) judge Zaleha Yusof had ordered for the items to be returned to the owner.

Nama 'Allah' diperjuangkan sampai mahkamah.
Undang2 'Allah' tak pulak diperjuangkan untuk dijadikan undang2 untuk mahkamah yang SATU.
Undang2 'Allah' cuma pada mahkamah syariah je. Itupun x sepenuhnya.
Second grade ke?
