PM Najib: Sustaining growth Malaysia's biggest achievement this year

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has paid tribute to all civil servants for their support, which has enabled him to steer Malaysia out of the global financial turbulence. The Prime Minister said Malaysia's ability to sustain economic growth during the challenging period was the country's biggest achievement this year. "It is an outstanding achievement, when other nations have succumbed to financial pressure. "I thank you all who have helped the Government to achieve this. "This feat is not mine alone to claim and rejoice. It is a collective effort by all of us and once again, I would like to thank you all," he said at the monthly assembly of Prime Minister's Department here Monday.

tunku : the opposition is spreading lies that the government is going into bankruptcy  because a lot of money given to the people by the government through BR1M etc. if that is the scenario will the economy sustain in the global financial turbulence? that is the great achievement by the BN government which PR cannot match at all. look at penang, the growth slowed down.
