S'gor MB ready to clarify issue to King

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is ready to meet the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, to clarify allegations that Opposition leaders ridiculed Malay Rulers at the King's installation last Wednesday.
In a statement here Tuesday, Abdul Khalid said the issue was petty and was deliberately exaggerated for political purposes.
"This should not be raised at a time when the public is rejoicing at the King's installation.
"Therefore, if necessary, I am offering myself to explain to His Majesty what had transpired ," he added. - Bernama
