PAS opts out of Himpun gathering

KUALA LUMPUR: PAS will not take part in the Himpun gathering at Shah Alam Stadium this Saturday.
The decision to opt out was made at the party's political bureau meeting Tuesday night.
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, in a press statement Wednesday, said the rally organised by the non-governmental groups would not involve any political party.
“We respect the groups' decision but we will not take part," he said.
Earlier, PAS Youth Wing had declared their support behind the gathering, which was scheduled to be held from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday, to “protect, defend and champion the cause of Islam.”

tunku : Islam is dead in pas. pas has shown us it is no longer an Islamic party and only uses Islam as a political tool whenever it is benefited to them. God damn pas.

If this episode doesn't sink into the thick skulls if their diehard but stupid supporters, then nothing will ever change ; at least from the party's political objectives. How right when even some of their more "politically educated " and " truly Islamic-oriented" supporters and members protested at the change of the party's political direction and objectives. The idea of a " welfare state" evidently does not go down well with many ; and this includes voters who thought that the party's ideal has degenerated to a "dirty low" !!! Changing direction midway just to satisfy the passion, lust and ambition of those at the top, justifies condemnation from those at the grassroot. More so when in the process of satisfying this unjustified cause, the party has to 'kow-tow' to a partner who at one time was a political enemy viz the Islamic state issue !!!! You could almost hear the rumblings of anger and dissatisfaction which could become louder by the day. And if the top echelons refuse to pay heed to those at the lower rung ( plus the voters ), then you could almost predict an outcome so disastrous that de-registering the party would be a good option. Misguided decisions have been the recent trademark of a party once proud of its Islamic ideals !!!!! It's sad , so sad BUT that's the price you have to pay when you allow " political idiots " to take over the helm !!! I suppose, appealing to their members would be a very futile effort considering the absolute and 'without-question' loyalty so slavishly portrayed by those diehard supporters all this while. Perhaps the greatest sin that could be afforded to this horrible and shameful fiasco is the fact that they are willing to sell their souls to 'the devil' !!! And if you get the drift, you will surely recognise this 'devil' ; and people say a devil comes in many forms ; this time around, they could be emerging as a political party with vicious hate, spitefulness, anger and revenge as their doctrine ! And as usual they will be "fools" so gullible as NOT to see through this evil-intentioned game and ploy !!!
