Vigneswaran Hits Out At PR

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- Those who live by the sword, die by the sword.
The Pakatan Rakyat (PR), which has been advocating elected representatives to cross over since the March 8 general election last year, should remember this maxim.
So said, Malaysian Indian Youth Development Foundation chairman S. A. Vigneswaran in a press statement today.
The former MIC Youth chief and ex-Kota Raja member of parliament asked:
"Who (initially) hailed he had signed up more than 31 defectors needed to form a new government and called on the prime minister not to impose emergency rule to thwart a takeover on Sept 16, last year?
"Who pumped our adrenalin by claiming the Pakatan Rakyat was able to form a new government by Sept 16, 2008, with the help of defecting BN MPs.
"From the dawn of the 12th general election, Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sowed the seeds of defections and cross-overs. Datelines were set. Sept 16 came and went." He said when Anwar set datelines, one after another, there was no hue and cry from so-called leaders of community, bloggers and opposition leaders that the defection was immoral, undemocratic, appalling and oppressive.
Vigneswaran said when the Bota state assemblyman crossed over -- prior to returning to Umno -- again, there were no hue and cry from the public. "But, the very moment four Pakatan ADUNs crossed over to Barisan Nasional, the nastiest remarks and accusations are cast at the government. "Let us not forget the cliche...every action has a reaction! Mind you, it was not BN which opened the floodgates for defections," he reminded PR.
He was commeting on the current political goings-on in Perak, where the opposition pact of Parti Keadilan Nasional, DAP and Pas, lost power after three members of the state assembly resigned from their respective parties to become independents and support BN.

tunku : very true what vignes said. this is typical opposition mindset, can't change it.when they do, it's not wrong but when the government do then it's wrong.it is like what nik aziz said yesterday,if umno members jump to pakatan it's a good act and if pakatan members jump to umno, its evil. this is the brain the pakatan leaders have.with these kind of brains they can't govern this country.it's beyond their thinking and imigination.

agree.totally agree with what Vigneswaran said.eventhough i'm more happy if BN take over BN by election but it was Anwar that started the whole "govt by defection".

when Anwar announced such statement, there was no cry by many opposition leader and bloggers that it's immoral and not democratic.but now when they accused BN with so many nasty remarks just because PR or more precise Anwar failed to deliver their/his promise.

i couldn't agree with him more.they sounded as if it's noble for them to form a govt by defections but treason and humiliation if BN does the same.

i think PR is ashamed to lose in the game they first created.and now they wanna cover the shame by putting all the blame to BN and not to mentioned towards the Royalty as well.
