DAP To Continue Supporting Anwar As PR Leader

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- DAP will continue to support Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the opposition leader, DAP Secterary-General Lim Guan Eng said.
He said Anwar would remain as Pakatan Rakyat leader and as the oppostion leader as agreed by the PR leaderships.
"He will remain, as no single leader has ever questioned this during internal meetings whether at the highest level or otherwise," he said in a statement here, today.
He said PR had endorsed a position that no individual party policy could be regarded a PR policy unless it was approved unanimously by all three parties.
He also appealed to DAP chairman Karpal Singh to use internal party channels if he wished to change policies within the PR instead of using the media.
Yesterday, Karpal Singh told a news conference that Anwar was not fit to lead the PR and that he had been "nothing but trouble" for the opposition alliance.
His remarks came in the wake of the PR losing the Perak state government to the Barisan Nasional (BN) on Friday, which Karpal blamed on the immorality of Anwar in trying to seek defectors from the BN to shore up the PR.

tunku : dap is so desperate to support anwar because they know that without pkr, they will not get enough support and furthermore when anwar is financing the pakatan movement.dap is ready to sacrifice its struggle just to be in power.pity karpal, left alone even though he's the dap chairman.

if nizar is said to be as puppet to dap, this one is going to be 'alibaba in politics'. on its own, mana ada orang melayu nak sokong dap tu? this guy lah is the answer to get the support.

on a larger scale, as tdm always puts it, the jews rule the world by proxy -- the u.s.

this case pun sama lah lebih kurang....

DAP have to "put aside" Karpal when they aware that Anwar is more "valuable" to them on the conquest for greater victory.because it was Anwar that initiated the idea to form Pakatan Rakyat(Peoples Alliance) and from there on DAP managed to rule Penang since DAP have the most seats there.

but the case in Perak,DAP have to nod their head when Nizar from PAS had to be appointed as the MB.DAP have the most seats in Perak govt PR but the MB is from PAS which only have some few seats there.quite awkward when the MB comes from the least seats.

but it was Anwar also that started the "jumping game" and PR lose in that game.too bad.if it was PR that managed to secure a govt by hopping then i guess there will be no protest as what happened in Perak.
