PKR GE Meeting: PKR Lost Before Competing?

PKR seems to be using 'rakyat' again in each of their activities and campaigns. Obviously, to face the election this time around, the name of rakyat would be raised up high as if rakyat is their main objective even though everything is for Anwar.
During PKR's GE Meeting last year, the party had seek help from Merdeka Center, to test out a few slogans which they have prepared for GE13. They include:

1. Ubah Sekarang, Selamatkan Malaysia (Change Now, Save Malaysia)
2. Malaysia Baru, Muafakat Baru, Pimpinan Baru (New Malaysia, New Unity, New Leadership)
3. Demi Rakyat, Demi Masa Depan (For Rakyat, For Future)

Along with PKR's excitement over the use of the word 'rakyat', they seems to be fond of using the third slogan, Demi Rakyat, Demi Masa Depan (For Rakyat, For Future) which for them really highlights the image of JUSTICE. The slogan was said to have gained positive responses from PKR's targeted voters who are the groups of youth, working class people, and Indians who are undecided.
During the same meeting, the party had underlined a few issues which they would use to attack BN.
Few o them include the increase in price of goods, oil subsidy, AUKU, PTPTN, corruption, property issues, social issues, high price for vehicles and limited job openings.
In playing all of the issues, PKR in a way had shown that they are not that smart with numbers and they simply fail in economics.
For example, as for PTPTN, PKR was criticized by DAP and PAS for putting PR in a tough spot. Chinese newspapers which are pro-DAP also smashed the idea to abolish PTPTN because it was embarrassing an impractical in forms of economy.
The same thing goes with the issue of oil subsidy and the increase in price of goods where they are all global issues which rakyat are well aware that of PKR becomes the government, even they would not be able to influence the global market. Making such promises would only result to false hope to rakyat.
For AUKU, PR began to show their double standard treatment when Kedah's PAS Chief Minister, Ustaz Azizan ordered that any students who joins rally would be sentenced under the Act.
PKR's attempt to attack the government through corruption and social issues within the society are also making rakyat smile in sarcasm. Why? If PKR Leader himself is dubbed as the Father of Corruption. His assistant can even afford home worth millions of Ringgit. His cronies, and now, his party and his allies are swamped with scandals.
With that, let us all wait and see what PKR would lie about the issue if work opportunities in Malaysia considering that this is the only issues which they are still yet to use.
Whatever it is, we are aware that states that are administered by PKR or PR are all in trouble in finding more investments which would effect work opportunities. They only job opening which the people at their state could have would be in the entertainment field such as masseuse where one do not have to even apply for PTPTN to study. All they need is guts.
If these are PKR's strategies to face GE13, it seems clear that PKR have lose the game even before they begin campaigning.

tunku : they have nothing left , that's why rafizi came out with stupid idea of slashing the car taxes to fish for votes. now there's no big issue for them to play, so they will promise everything although it's impossible for them to fulfill it.

What is the virtue of Taraaweeh prayers?

Praise be to Allah.

Firstly:
Taraaweeh prayer is Sunnah mustahabbah (i.e., recommended) according to scholarly consensus, and comes under the heading of qiyaam al-layl (night prayers). It is supported by the evidence of the Qur’aan and Sunnah which encourages qiyaam al-layl and describes its virtues.

Secondly:
Praying qiyaam in Ramadaan is one of the greatest acts of worship by means of which a person can draw closer to his Lord in this month. Al-Haafiz Ibn Rajab said: Note that in the month of Ramadaan the believer engages in jihad al-nafs on two fronts: during the day by fasting and during the night by praying qiyaam. Whoever combines these two types of jihad will be given reward without limit.
There are some ahaadeeth which speak specifically about praying qiyaam in Ramadaan and describe the virtue of so doing. For example:
Al-Bukhaari (37) and Muslim (759) narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever prays qiyaam in Ramadaan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”
“Whoever prays qiyaam in Ramadaan” means spends its nights in prayer.
“Out of faith” means, believing in Allah’s promise of reward.
"And in the hope of reward” means, seeking the reward and with no other intention such as showing off etc.
“Will be forgiven his previous sins”:
Ibn al-Mundhir was certain that this includes both minor and major sins, but al-Nawawi said: What is known among the fuqaha’ is that this applies only to forgiveness of minor sins, not major sins. Some of them said: It may mean that the burden of major sins is reduced, so long as so long as there are no minor sins.
From Fath al-Baari.

Thirdly:
The believer should be keen to strive in worship in the last ten nights of Ramadaan more than at other times, because in these ten nights is Laylat al-Qadr, of which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“The Night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months”
[al-Qadr 97:3]
Concerning the reward of qiyaam on this night, it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever spends Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1768; Muslim, 1268.
Hence the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to strive hard in worship in the last ten nights as he did not do at other times.
Narrated by Muslim, 1175.
Al-Bukhaari (2024) and Muslim (1174) narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “When the last ten days began, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) would tie his lower garment (izaar) tight and stay up at night, and wake his family.”
“The last ten days” means the last ten days of Ramadaan.
“tie his lower garment (izaar) tight” - it was said that this is a metaphor for striving hard in worship, or for keeping away from his wives, and it may be that it includes both meanings.
“stay up at night” means staying up and praying and doing other acts of worship.
“and wake his family” means, he would wake them up to pray at night.
Al-Nawawi said:
This hadeeth indicates that it is mustahabb to do more acts of worship during the last ten nights of Ramadaan, and to stay up at night to worship.

Fourthly:
We should be keen to pray qiyaam al-layl in Ramadaan in congregation, and to stay with the imam until he finishes praying. In this way the worshipper will attain the reward for praying the whole night, even if he only spends a short part of the night in prayer. And Allah is the Owner of great bounty.
Al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The scholars are agreed that it is mustahabb to pray Taraaweeh, but they differed as to whether it is better for a person to pray on his own at home or in congregation in the mosque. Al-Shaafa’i and most of his companions, Abu Haneefah, Ahmad and some of the Maalikis and others said that it is better to pray it in congregation, as ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab and the Sahaabah (may Allah be pleased with them) did and as the Muslims continued to do.
Al-Tirmidhi (806) narrated that Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and b blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever prays qiyaam with the imam until he finishes, will be recorded as having spent the whole night in prayer.”
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
And Allah knows best.

PKR Is Expected To Lose Current 16 Seats

Internal sources confirmed that PKR is somehow in panic to face the coming 13th General Election.
As for now, PKR has 31 seats and targets to add nine more seats through the coming GE, making it 40. However, the analysis which was presented during the election meeting forces PKR to accept the reality which they might lose 16 from their current 31 sears, and that they could only win two new seats which all comes to a total of 17 seats only.
Their current seats that are expected to go to BN include Gombak, Indera Mahkota, Ketereh, PJS, Bagan Serai, Wangsa Maju, Ampang, Nibong Tebal, Selayang, Kelana Jaya, Merbok, Lembah Pantai, Telok Kemang, Kuala Langat, Sg. Siput and Hulu Selangor.
New seats which they might be able to get would be Bukit Katil and Pandan.
Actually, PKR's insecurities in facing GE can be justified. This is based on research ran by a few including Council of Professors, local universities and Merdeka Centre which showed that popularity for the opposition is actually falling.
Even all research showed that Chinese votes for BN which back then were critical, is now getting really positive. Merdeka Center, for example, found that the Chinese feel happy when the Prime Minister acknowledges certificate for TAR college and abolished the Sedition Act.
With that, PKR could only target 70% maximum Chinese votes for the coming GE even though they were very proud going around telling that they are gaining more than 90% worth of Chinese votes.
PKR also realized that Malays are voting back to BN.
That is why, few of the strategies measured to face the coming GE is so that the Leader would make a huge statement to defend Malays including championing few controversies which involves the fate of Malays.
But, PKR once again would be making a U-Turn by acknowledging the fight for Malays. Previously, PKR, as well as PAS, mocked and insult anything that has to do with fighting for Malay. Who could forget how they quoted a few of their leaders who were 'embarrased to be a Malay'. Even Anwar himself insulted the Ketuanan Melayu concept by saying that race do not bring any significance if we want to live in harmony and unity.
When the fact is, Chinese and Indians were given the chance to defend their race, culture and language to state their existence in this country.
We are certain that Malays would never really forget what PKR said and how PKR treated them.
That is why PKR wants to be serious in 'defending Malays', making it as a bullet to attack BN during the election.
However, we believe that PRK do realize their mistake in handling this 'Malay issue'. That is why they do not put Malays as the number one factor in their Target Voters. Overall, PKR's Election Meeting only putt three groups as their target voters:
1. working class - those who vote according to issues and at the age between 26 - 45.
2. Youth - those who vote according to sentiments. Age between 22 - 25.
3. Indian voters - the group which is keen to change vote in mass numbers.
In a way, it seems clear that PKR is still looking for their strength to face the coming GE.
The problem which is faced by PKR is just as same as their allies in Pakatan Rakyat where they are in a pact but they have to accept the fact that they do not operate as one.
With that, they do not just have to compete with BN, they would also have to prove their strength amongst themselves to ensure that their leaders would be 'respected' if PR wins the coming GE.
Things get even sadder for PKR when a few sides of their leaders are competing against one another. The existence of a few 'camps' and cold treatment between PKR leaders in a way contributed towards rakyat's doubt on their chances of actually winning the GE.

tunku : for me , dap will win the most seats in pakatan. pas and pkr would remain dap's puppets.

Ramadan - An opportunity to know your inner self

by Irshaad Hussain
Fasting (Sawm) carries a two-fold meaning - two seemingly opposing definitions combined into a single word. And sawm, as described in the Qur'an and the hadith, simultaneously fulfills both of these definitions. The primary meaning is to hold back, to refrain from, to abstain - the further meaning is to rise beyond, to move past former limits.
The month of Ramadan is a time in which we hold our bodily compulsions and instincts under strict control, together with our thoughts and our mental states, our moods and desires. We submit ourselves (our nafs) and our accustomed patterns of life to a higher template, one that fosters a regimen of self-restraint within the body and mind and correspondingly seeks an intensification of the life of the spirit. The body is ordered to fast from what it needs, from what is normally allowed to it, from what it desires, from what it craves, from what it may seek on a whim, and from what it habitually seeks - from all that leads to an intensification of the activities of the nafs.
During the interval of daylight, halal (the allowed) transforms into haram (the forbidden) and whatever nourishes the physical body becomes haram. As for the nafs, it undertakes a psychic fast from anger, backbiting, gossip, harshness towards others, from reaching in any manner through any of the senses towards that which is disallowed. All those inclinations which strengthen the nafs, which allow it to inject itself with vigor and attachment into the flux of worldly life are proscribed and denied expression.
The nafs continuously asserts itself through it's ties with the body and according to a complex and ever-shifting world of attraction and desire, knowledge and ignorance that endlessly churns within it. Through its movements and motions, it seeks what it needs and wants and can become, depending on circumstances, complacent or cavalier, disdainful or self-assured, arrogant or fearful, callous or ambitious, lethargic or craving - endlessly acting and reacting within the confines of its limited knowledge. What it does not know it is ignorant of, and what it does not know is infinitely more vast in extent than what it knows. So it's knowledge is forever outweighed by it's ignorance and it's pursuits and actions are indicators of which of these (knowledge or ignorance) it acts upon.
The nafs is in continuous restless motion, but it is a motion that circumambulates around a center of manifold physical and chemical interactions that give rise to need, wants, pleasures, habits, moods, impulsions, compulsions, and desires. The complex system of body and mind are in an incessant state of movement (that ceases only with death), switching continually from one mode to the other, pouring forth a torrent of thoughts and internal impulses that turn the mind's focus endlessly from one locus to another. There is perpetual movement and motion but within tightly constrained boundaries - pivoting around the locus of the nafs and what it seeks.
And so the qur'anic command is issued - "...fast until the night...." (Qur'an 2:187) Fast from what the nafs needs and desires. Let the nafs know that there is a truer aspect of yourself, a center capable of overseeing and stabilizing all the intersecting mental systems of the mind and all the material/chemical/habitual/hormonal systems of the body. Proclaim to it that there is a guardian and owner and ruler over the nafs and over the physical form with which it is integrally co-mingled. Let it know that the form and the stirrings of need and desire within the nafs have to submit to this guardian in seeking their satisfaction. The wants, needs, and desires that spring from the material form must submit to the governance and tutelage of a higher form - to the spiritual form indicated by the hadith that states: "God created Adam in His own form...." (hadith)
This is not the material form driven by chemical interactions but the spiritual substance which is the subtle, essential form of a human being - one that is masked by the ceaseless activity of an unconstrained nafs (nafs al-amarra).
The material form and its impulses (manifested through the nafs) are reigned in during fasting. All the things which give strength, vigor, and life to the body and nafs are terminated - the attachment is reduced, denuded, weakened. We cease to consume and are no longer able to enjoy what feeds our physical form and with that cessation we begin to unhook the clamps which bind us to the most basic goods of this world. We undo the shackles which tie us through our physicality to the world. By penetrating to the very root of our attachment, to the most fundamental layer, to the very seat of our creaturely connection to the world - food, water, sex (the three cardinal symbols of life) we overturn their dominion and arrive at a position where we, for a time, subdue them.
We deny creaturely externals, we let the creaturely demands and impulses remain unanswered - over the course of the days of fasting we let them subside and wane. We let them grow silent so we have a chance to hear what we otherwise would not hear, to perceive what we otherwise could not perceive. We subdue our physical form and when its clamoring grows silent we perhaps become aware of a spiritual form that resides subtly within us.
The vigil of denial and regulation of the physical form and the nafs is maintained until the spirit and mind's ascendancy becomes clear. "Fast until the night...." (Qur'an 2:187) The night approaches and the day's fast ends with the former hierarchy reversed - what was first (physically and psychically generated needs, wants, and desires) comes last and what was last comes first, and with this new ordering of spirit and body in place, the fast is completed. Over the course of the month of Ramadan, as the days merge into the nights, this drama of reversal is repeated and intensified till the person fasting (the person who undertakes the fast with complete sincerity and profound intensity) approaches a state of spiritual readiness.
Until in the watch (the vigil) of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan, there arrives the possibility of a profound inner remaking, an unfolding of the potential to witness the laylatul qadr. "And what can convey to you what laylatul qadr is? That night is better than a thousand months...." (Qur'an 97:2-3) During the day we break ourselves down, we fast from what sustains our existence - we submit our clay form to be unmade, to be kneaded and worked over - we remove ourselves from our material subsistence and turn to prayer and spiritual subsistence from God - we prepare ourselves to be reshaped. The onset of the darkness of night is representative of pure potential waiting to emerge into existence - waiting for the command and decree which will give it form. "The angels and the spirit (ruh) descend in it, by the command of their Lord with every decree...." (Qur'an 97:4) We turn ourselves into malleable clay awating the shaping command of that night - anticipating the profound and weighty descents that accompany laylatul qadr. "(That night is) Peace till the breaking of the dawn." (Qur'an 97:5)
So sawm (fasting) fulfills its meanings - to hold back from, to abstain, pertains to the restraint engendered through the fast - to rise beyond pertains to the results that God bestows upon those who seek the fast with sincerity and knowledge. So the fast is at once a holding back and a lifting up. The body and it's appetites are held back and through this holding back an elusive and subtle but profound awakening begins. We are provided the means by which to alter our reality, to shape what we ourselves are. By holding back the nafs from its activity and its sustenance, moments of stillness, of silence, are obtained - moments in which self-perception sharpens and deepens and spirit awakens and the (spiritual) form with which God created man begins to unfold itself. "And in yourselves - what do you not see?" (Qur'an 51:21)

Be a gentleman Lajim Ukin.

Lajim Quits As Umno Supreme Council Member

KOTA KINABALU, July 28 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin announced his resignation as Umno Supreme Council member, Beaufort Umno divison chief and Beaufort Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, with immediate effect.
However, he maintains his post as Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister as well as an Umno member.
"As for my post as deputy minister, that will be decided by Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) at his discretion.
"Meanwhile, the Umno Supreme Council will determine my membership in Umno...if they feel I have violated the party's regulations then they can dismiss me," he said during a breaking of fast ceremony and the declaration of the the setting up of Pakatan Perubahan Sabah (PPS) or the Sabah Reform Party at his residence in Likas Jaya, near here.

tunku : lajim have decided to quit your post and at the same time forming a new party. he will organise a function tonight and it will be attended by anwar and few others.my question is why is he still want to be an umno member and a deputy minister? why don't he quit umno with dignity, relinquish his ministerial post.why he has to wait for the pm to take action? be a gentleman lajim.afterall you are not a big name in bn and umno.you cannot have it both ways. if you openly disagrees with the party or government stand and you tacitly wants to work with the opposition, then you should just quit Umno as a gentleman.

Substances and actions that nullify the fasting

Thanks be to God, Lord of all being, and God's peace and blessings be upon the seal of the prophets and messengers, Muhammad, and upon his family and all of his companions.

In its specialised seminars and conferences, the Islamic Organjsation for Medical Sciences (IOMS) has always taken the initiative to put forward for debate new contemporary medical issues with the view of formulating a proper legal Islamic view and understanding of their significance and impact. These seminars and conferences are always well-attended, bringing together distinguished Muslim jurists and Shari'ah experts, medical practitioners, pharmacologists, and specialists in other human sciences.
Through this process, the IOMS has sought to form a consensus of informed opinion, based on accurate medical knowledge, as a foundation for sound Islamic rulings to be drawn up by competent jurists. It has also sought the involvement of other recognised and well-established scientific, cultural and health bodies such as the Islamic Fiqh Academy of Jeddah, al-Azhar University, the World Health Organisation Regional Office at Alexandria, Egypt, and the Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO).
With the grace and blessings of God, the 9th Fiqh-Medical Seminar was successfully convened at Casablanca, Morocco, during 8-11 Safar 1418, corresponding to 14-17 June 1997, under the eminent auspices of the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Hassan II. The theme of the seminar was "An Islamic View of Certain Contemporary Medical Issues", and it was held jointly with the Hassan II Institute for Scientific and Medical Research on Ramadhan, the ISESCO, the Islamic Fiqh Academy, and the World Health Organisation Regional Office.

Substances and actions that nullify the fasting

According to the Quran and the authentic Sunnah of the prophet (pbuh) three actions nullify fasting: eating, drinking and sexual intercourse. Therefore, the passing of any solid or liquid substance that can be described as food or drink, in any quantity through the gullet would nullify fasting. Accord ingly, the participants agreed unanimously that the following do not nullify fasting.

1. Eye and ear drops, and ear wash.
2. Nitroglycerin tablets placed under the tongue for the treatment of angina.
3. Insertion into the vagina of pessaries, medical ovules, vaginal washes, vaginal speculum, and doctor's or midwife's fingers during pelvic examination.
4. Insertion of the urethroscope into man or woman radio-opaque media for X-ray diagnosis or bladder irrigation.
5. Tooth drilling, extraction, cleaning or the use of -miswak and toothbrush, provided nothing is swallowed into the stomach, do not nullify fasting.
6. Injections through the skin or muscle or joints or veins, with the exception of intravenous feeding.
7 .Blood donation or receiving blood transfusion.
8. Oxygen and anaesthetic gases.
9. All substances absorbed into the body through the skin, such as creams, ointments, and medicated plaster.
10 .Drawing blood samples for laboratory testing.
11 .Catheter and media for arteriography of heart or other organs.
12 .Endoscopy for diagnostic or intervention purposes.
13. Mouth wash, gargle or oral spray, provided nothing is swallowed into the stomach.
14 .Hysteroscopy or insertion of an intrauterine device.
15. Biopsy of the liver or other organs.

A majority of participants added the following:

1. Nose drops, nose sprays, and inhalers.
2. Anal injections, anoscopes, or digital rectal examination.
3. Surgery involving general anaesthetic, if the patient decided to fast.
4. Machine or intraperitoneal renal dialysis.
5. Use of gastroscope, provided it does not entail the introduction of liquids or other substances into the stomach.

FREE WIFI OR PAID WIFI FOR PENANG?

Penang government nowadays are very proud of providing free WIFI in the state. They even took up advertisement in the Chinese
local newspaper.
However, when SEDA put up a paid advertisement on the explanation on feed in tariff, some politician from the same party who
are ruling the Penang state condemning such effort as wasting public money.
However, what we want to highlight is that there is some disturbing information related to so called Penang Free Wi-Fi in
Penang.
The state seen has not exercising its much appreciated open tender policy in the RM8.5 million ‘Free Wi-Fi’ project awards.
The Penang state government has promise to practice open tender system on all state contracts.
However, this second Penang Free Wi-Fi project has in fact set a bad precedent for future projects.
An open tender system was not offered for the second phase of the Wi-Fi project as the state government wanted a reputable
company to take charge.
It is a well-known open secret that who they want to gives too -- REDtone.
This is due to the fact that REDtone International Bhd has willing to provide and maintain 750 free Wi-Fi hotspots in public
areas in the state without any funding from the state government under the first phase. They get their so called return
through advertisement.
However, under phase two, the state government is paying RM8.49mil to install 750 free Wi-Fi hotspots over the next five years in Penang.
The question is why state need to come in and paid RM8.49 million to installed 750 free Wi-Fi hotspots if at the first place
such cost could be recovered by REDtone by selling their space for advertising in the spot?
To make it worst, why don't they has open tender for the second phase? Maybe by having open tender, the cost could be further
reduce?
“Penang Free Wi-Fi” project was launched by Lim in Sept 2008 and was aimed at turning the state into the country’s first free
wireless broadband area.
The project was different from the federal government-initiated High Speed Broadband (HSBB) project.
Is has been the Pakatan Rakyat and Lim Guan Eng promises to has open tender in all state contracts. Why didn't he do it for this free wifi hotspots?
Promise is still a promise. You just can't have exceptional rule for this when the promises already being made. When you talk about open tender, it should be implemented all, not selectively because you will be considered failed to practice the policy.

Azizan Unaware Of Link Between MB Candidate With Rakyat's Issue

Kedah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak who is famous for being ticked off easily, went berserk yesterday with National Council of Professors (MPN) when the result of their research involving GE13 issue did not favor Pakatan Rakyat.
As soon as he was told about the research, Azizan did not even consider or take a second to think why the result of the research showed that rakyat of Kedah are beginning to go back to BN, He did not realize that he has weaknesses, mistakes and that he did not listen to rakyat's claims, just like what the research found.
Instead, he responded by saying that the issue which they covered including choosing CM candidate is nothing and that it is not suitable to be focused by these scholars. he also mocked the intelligence of MPN and sarcastically mentioned that they were used by BN. He said that MPN was supposed to study much more serious issues such as issues among rakyat, developing the state and defending power.
Obviously, making fun and mocking everyone else is a normal thing among PAS leaders, as if they are the best in the world. And it is normal for the opposition to blame everything on BN if things do not go their way.
He said,This is a sad thing because scholars as them should be studying much bigger issues."
But it is sad for the people of Kedah because not just that their CM do not know anything and that he cannot do anything to solve issues, he is even too arrogant to accept criticism and would not take any responsibility. He made it look easy for one to be a CM. All he has to do is just sit around and do nothing. And if anyone ever say anything, just scream at them.
MPN do not represent BN. Their research regarding the CM candidate has its own significance for serious issues which Azizan had mentioned which is issues involving rakyat, developing the state and defending power. This is because, elected CM would decide whether those serious issues can be handled or not. If rakyat end up choosing the wrong CM like Azizan, then the result, well, the Kedah we see today.
Issues with timber, water, pollution, madrasah, tourism, investment, Malay reserve lands and KUIN which all have been debated by rakyat for a very long time that they are coming to a point of giving up. They said that there is no use telling the CM because he would end up saying that everything has been settled.
But in reality, what is settled?
The only thing that is settled is the decreasing state finance. Not even a single project which was proposed by PAS Kedah has ever been developed.
It is very sad for rakyat of Kedah to have a CM who do not even understand the link between him and serious issues among rakyat.
The fact is, Azizan is a CM who do not know technology and he do not really understand how information, even confidential matters can go viral within minutes. He do not know that rakyat have their own access to matters which he said or denied. Mocking and insulting other people would not make him a good CM.
With such small knowledge when it comes to matters regarding the state and the world, who is Azizan to insult those scholars at MPN.

tunku : let him live in ignorance. it's good for BN.he always think he knows everything but in reality he doesn't know anything. pknk bought FGV shares too without his knowledge(according to him). what a liar.

Rakyat Still Support PM, Chinese Support Increases

As Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak was appointed as the country's Prime Minister in April 2009, the political scene was still intense and rakyat's support towards the ruling party was still low.
With support from Malays divided into three while support from Chinese and Indian decreases, Barisan Nasional (BN) seemed to be in a tough situation.
If we are to look at the situation, his situation was almost as same as his late father's when he was appointed as PM back in 1970s.
At that time, the ruling government just recently had a shock in the 1969 election while a few days after that, the national security was under threat with the racial riot on May 13.
But Tun Abdul Razak was really patient, determined and convinced that he could solve every issues from time to time and finally lead the country towards better development.
Like going back in time, even Najib is not anxious in facing issues and he never avoid any of them.
Following his father's step, he then helped BN to get even more support from rakyat, acknowledging the party as the ruling party.
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak is already at the right track in driving Malaysia towards better development. With stronger support from rakyat as researched by UUM and MPN, this country would grow rapidly.
The latest research made by Merdeka Center showed increase in support for PM among Chinese with 42%, all thanks to the consistent efforts which was implemented by BN government.
Even if there may be a little mistake here and there from its accuracy, even if every research uses different methods, they all came to the same result - rakyat are getting happier with the administration pattern of PM and they are getting more convinced with BN.
Thus, if this trend could remain consistent or increased, it is not impossible that political tsunami which struck this country back in 2008, could happen again, bringing down a few states that are ruled by the opposition.

tunku : one would lie if one would not accept that the country is progressing better and najib's administration is improving and on the right track.hence, malaysian should give their full support to PM to bring our country into greater heights.he needs a 2/3 majority to work hard on the economy and on well being of the people.without 2/3, you have to divide your precious time between country and politics and sometime more on politics.

PAS Raged Over UMNO Because PKR Rejected Hudud?

During the Fiqh bersama Ulama program which featured Islamic scholars from Arab nations, last month, few of the paper works presented stated that Hudud is only 1/10 from Islam.
This matter was agreed by most Scholars including PAS Scholars, the proof, Hadi Awang himself did say that 'Hudud is only 0.001% from Islam.'
Meanwhile, the status of hudud in Islam is already clear where if a country do not implement hudud, it would not deter the religion at the country. This is because, hudud, law and the government is not the factor that determine the fate of a Muslim in the afterlife. That is why, hudud should not be put as the main thing in Islam.
But, PAS supporters kept on thinking that hudud is thee main focus in Islam and if the country do not implement it, the government is not Islam, including the government supporters. The explanation given by the government where hudud is not that suitable to be implemented in this country, which up until now, PAS has been mocking the statement.
However, PAS do not have any issue when it comes to working alongside PKR who gave the same response towards hudud.
Recently, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, PKR Youth President criticized PAS Youth, Nasrudin Hasan Tantawi for raising the hudud issue. Shamsul suggested that Nasrudin study and understand that hudud is not part of the policy which Pakatan Rakyat has agree.
When asked, why PKR can and UMNO cannot, PAS, especially Mahfodz Omar responded that PKR acknowledge hudud but it does not accept that implementation, but UMNO totally rejects hudud.
If that is the answer, we would like to ask Mahfodz, why is it that PAS do not have any issue on the fact that they are working alongside DAP who clearly said no to hudud, and that they would rather die than letting hudud being implemented.
How come DAP can and UMNO cannot? Obviously, Mahfodz would say that DAP is not Islam.
But, this is not the matter of how Islam a party is. This is also not about whether a party acknowledges hudud or not.
The thing that matters here is about PAS's stand regarding hudud and is PAS honest enough to implement it.
It is clear that PAS's stand about hudud since then is that it is merely political and they do not have any intention to really implement it. It is because if they really want it, they would have rejected the cooperation between PKR and DAP like how they rejected UMNO.

tunku : hudud for pas is just to fish for vote. when election time they will bring it out to fish vote among the muslim. with non muslim audience they will say something else. pas biggest hypocrites.

Malaysia's Small Business Policies Win High International Praise

MELBOURNE, Malaysia is in the forefront of small business development policies across the globe, says Ken Phillips, a leading international small business expert.
Phillips, the Chairman of Australia's peak small business organisation, the Council of Small Business Australia, has identified Malaysia as a world leader.
Criticising developed economies, Phillips said: "In comparison to Malaysia, small business policies in developed economies of Europe, North America and Australia frequently look like knee-jerk reactions to political imperatives rather than thought through economic policy."
In particular, Phillips highlighted the consistent leadership from the top of the government as being important to Malaysia's small business success.
He was impressed that Malaysia's Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak chairs Malaysia's National Small and Medium Enterprises' (SMEs) Development Council.
"This leadership showed a level of sophistication to economic development (in this case in the small business sector) that is often hard to find in the so-called advanced economies," Phillips told Bernama on Monday.
Phillips is a leading small business authority particularly on self-employed and micro-business issues. He also heads Australia's Independent Contractors' Association and conducts global research and commentary on government policies towards the self-employed.
Along with contributions to international SME academic publications, his book entitled "Independence and the Death of Employment" is one of the few detailed publications on the self-employed.
Phillips comments followed a presentation by Datuk Hafsah Hashim, Chief Executive Officer of SME Corporation Malaysia, at the peak of the global small business conference in Wellington, New Zealand, in mid-June.
The International Council for Small Business World Conference is an annual gathering of top academics, senior government officials and SME experts.
Hafsah's presentation detailed Malaysia's policy towards small business development and its integration into national economic advancement.
Phillips sees this as unique.
"What's most interesting about this Malaysian approach is that they see a direct connection between a high-income economy and the proliferation and strength of small business.
"I can't say that I've seen this sort of economic development analysis before and certainly not one translated into direct government policy and action.
"Within the orthodoxy of what constitutes most economic development policies, the Malaysians stand out as different and in front. What's almost unique is the degree of hard evidence based analysis driving their policies," Phillips said.
Phillips said Malaysia's policy success is apparent. "This is demonstrated by the fact that the growth of SME contribution to the Malaysian gross domestic product (GDP) since 2004 exceeds overall GDP growth.
"Looking forward, the fourth phase of Malaysia's overall development agenda involves the creation of business ecosystems for SMEs. Small business development is intended to take Malaysia from a middle-income economy to an advanced and high-income economy by 2020.
"Malaysia is a country to watch," said Phillips, and one that "...can teach the developed economies a lot," he added.

tunku : outsiders can see what malaysia has achieved and what potential it got and how well it is managed.it's sad too see that there are some malaysian can't see these and on top of that tarnishing the country's image all the time.

HOW TO SPEND RAMADHAAN

The month of Ramadhaan is the season of Divine Blessings. It is the month of purification and meant for annual renovation of the inner spiritual qualities. It is a golden opportunity for every Muslim to strengthen his Imaan, purify his heart and soul and remove the evil effects of the sins committed. This month invites a Muslim to minimise his mundane involvements and maximise the acts of worship. One should plan his schedule for this month beforehand, so as to spare maximum time for ‘ibaadah.

Below is a brief list of the acts which should be carried out in Ramadhaan with due care:

1. To offer every prayer with congregation in the Musjid.
2. To rise up a little earlier than the exact time of suhoor and to offer the Salaah of Tahajjud. There is no prescribed number of the Tahajjud prayer, yet, it is better to pray 8 rak’ats.
3. To offer the nafl (optional) prayers of Ishraaq (two rak’ats after sunrise), Dhuhaa (Four rak’ats which may be performed at anytime after Ishraaq before noon) and Awwaabeen (six rak’ats after Maghrib).
4. The recitation of the glorious Qur’aan. No specific limit is prescribed, but one should recite as much of it as he can.
5. To remember Allah frequently through different prophetic recitations, such as the following: Subhaana Allaah wa bihamdihi subhaana Allaahu al-Adheem, Laa hawla walaa quwwata illaa bi-llaahi al-aliyy al-adheem, subhaana Allaahu wa alhamdulillaah wa laa ilaaha illa Allaahu wa Allaahu Akbar, Astaghfiru-llaah lladhee laa ilaaha illaa huwa al-hayy al-qayyoom wa atoobu ilayhi, Allaahumma salli alaa muhammadin al-nabiyy al-ummiy wa-alaa aalihi wa-sallim tasleeman. Apart from reciting these phrases, one hundred times each, at a particular time, they may also be continued frequently throughout the day, even if one is engaged in some light work, when walking and when in bed.
6. Prayers and supplications (du’aa): No particular prayer is prescribed. One can pray for everything he needs both in this world and in the Hereafter. However, the supplications of the noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam are so comprehensive that they encompass all that a Muslim can need in his life and after his death. It is therefore, much advisable to pray to Allah Almighty in words used by our noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. There are several books wherein these prophetic supplications have been compiled. Below are the names of two books which should be kept by every Muslim in his home and be used for praying daily: Al-Hisnul Haseen by Allaamah Al-Jazri and Munaajaat-e-Maqbool by Maulana Ashraf Ali Thaanvi
7. Giving Sadaqah (charity): Apart from paying Zakaat, which is obligatory, one should also spend optionally in Ramadhaan to the best of his ability. It is reported in authentic Ahaadeeth that the noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam used to pay special attention in Ramadhaan to look after the poor and help them financially. Therefore, a Muslim should give as much money in Sadaqah as he can afford.

OPPOSITION PARTIES USING EACH OTHER FOR THEIR OWN CAUSE

Parties in the opposition unregistered alliance of Pakatan Rakyat are in reality using each other as platform to further their causes – not for the rakyat or Malaysians in totality.
From day one when they came together, DAP has its own Chinese agenda but of course laced and disguise under a Malaysian image, PAS is pursuing the cause of certain individuals but most over their main objectives of an Islamic state.
DAP claims to be multi-racial but its struggle has been one track – championing the Chinese cause – and its members comprise 99 per cent Chinese.
PAS is Islamic based as its members can be of any race so long as they are Muslims and they pursue for an Islamic theology state, no meandering or deviation in whatever ways.
Now enter Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), multi-racial and borned out of anger when the party de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim was expelled from Barisan Nasional and Umno and charged for abuse of power and sodomy.
The most aggressive and visible because Anwar is well-known even globally, PKR;s aim is to put Anwar in Putrajaya – no matter what it takes as it seems at present.
Despite the three parties getting together – like the saying goes sleeping on the same pillow and mattress and also bed – their dreams are different totally.
Right now, under the calm flowing water of the surface, the three parties are pushing one another to get to the top, to be the dominant so that their leaders can be Prime Minister.
Despite all agreeing Anwar is to be PM, the real scenario is different at the bottom of the calm flowing water.
PAS still insists on its president Abdul Hadi Awang to be PM while for the DAP, it would be Anwar because a non-Malay PM may not be good for the country with majority Malays and to DAP, Anwar is an easy prey because the aprty leaders have all his secrets.
And if PAS’s Abdul Hadi becomes PM, PAS will pursue the Islamic state concept or now has been changed to a welfare state – whatever the name changed it is still an Islamic state because it will have Islamic laws and Hudud will be implemented.
DAP does not want Hudud and Karpal Singh, DAP strongman had said over his dead body while PKR follows DAP stand.
Given the opposing ‘destinations’ the three parties have, what would it be if they win the coming general election?
Would it be like the few Arab nations that had revolutions to change the ruling parties but ended is chaos as everyone wants their ways.
And given such scenarios around the world, do Malaysians want to see this happen here where the present comfortable and peaceful country turns chaotic just because the winners want their ways?
One wonders whether sanity will prevail among those voters who are obsessed with their political leanings now and see the reality.

Bonus Gift Triggers Anxiety Among Opposition

The opposition is not even done politicizing all the efforts given by the government by saying that they are haram, corrupt etc., now the government has announced on the special Aidilfitri bonus with half a month pay with minimum pay with RM500 to civil servants.
Obviously, they cannot help but to get more and more anxious and at the same time, their supporters would definitely not miss the chance to take the benefit given by the government as well. The same thing happened to Felda, BR1M, TR1M, KR1M and other efforts made by the government.
We would not know whether this special bonus would receive the same fate as other aid where it would be described as 'haram money' which then turn into 'rakyat money' when opposition supporters cannot help but to have the money as well. We hope that all of PAS's tok guru would be more consistent in coming out with fatwas so that their supporters would not be spending money that is haram.
But, if we are to argue that it is rakyat's money through taxes, that does not mean that PAS supporters really deserve the money because we do not think that all of them even pay their taxes. What is it that PAS has ever done to contribute to generate the country's economy and consumers?
And let's not forget that employment and shops may not have been available if it wasn't for BN. Just look at Kelantan which is ruled by PAS, rakyat had to migrate to BN states to find their source of income and to shop.
The fact is, government money or rakyat's money, the money would not even exist or that it would never be distributed to rakyat if BN was not wise in administering the country. That is why we could still argue that PAS supporters do not really have the rights to take money just because they say that it is 'rakyat's money'.
It is clear here that the opposition cannot handle this issue where government provide benefit to rakyat. They have been trying to picture that the government is all luxurious, not wise in handling financial matters, the country would suffer bankruptcy etc. But how can they say that the country's economy is falling when the government is actually providing money to rakyat?
Then they said that such effort would lead to this country's economic breakdown.
Then again, the reality that we could see here is that rakyat is living in a country that is stable, harmonious and well developed, under a wise financial management system.
The government is well aware that price of goods have been increasing and it effects rakyat's cost of living, especially for those who live in cities. Considering that the government do not have the power to control price of goods, they then took another way to handle this issue.
Small but consistent efforts are one of the ways that the government had taken and it would not lead this country towards bankruptcy and it would not involve such 'mega budget'.
It is also a lot more practical and logical to be compared to the opposition's promises to reduce the price of oil, dissolving tolls and to provide free education for everyone, which all could bring the country to banckruptcy within two to three years, according to experts.
And the worse part is, the opposition could only make promises which seems illogical. Whereas, the government did not just fulfilled all the promises made, it even provides more than what have been bargained, for example, this Aidilfitri bonus.
Considering that no opposition supporters would ignore this bonus, we would like to suggest that oppositon leaders should just keep quiet. They do not have to come up with fatwas or illogical arguments just for the sake of politics.

tunku : they will say all the bad things to government's effort and every time government gives aid or gift, they grab it first. the more the government giving goodies to the rakyat the more they opposition feels anxiety.

PR’S CAR TAX CUT PROPOSAL IS SIMILAR TO CHILDREN’S FANTASIES

Pakatan Rakyat (PR) came out with another bright idea – knock down car prices so that Malaysians can have more disposable income – regardless of how the government can balance its income given there will be no taxes or the taxes on cars are reduced drastically.
And when PKR strategist Rafizi Ramli announced the proposal which will take effect if PR is to take over Putrajaya in the coming general election, the opposition forgets that local car industry needs to be protected in whatever means.
Ideas put forward by PR strategists, aimed at winning votes in the coming general election which is at present fiercely contesting, can be likened to ideas put forth by children in solving whatever problems they face at present.
They never think of the impact – long term and short term – of the ideas if implemented because the oppositions will always excuses later on when they cannot meet their promises.
Like now as they face problems in meeting their promises made during the 2008 general election where the voters, majority of the middle-income group who are now demanding but are shunned away by PR leaders.
Take Selangor for example, numerous promises made have yet to be fulfilled and the PR Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is giving the slip whenever the disgruntled voters wanted to meet him.
Memorandums sent by these voters were only received by the secretaries of the MB while the MB divert their focus on other issues that are seen as the ‘people’s issues’.
PR especially PKR is good in picking up issues to be sold for influence that make the people feel good and wanting but these have never been made good.
Reducing car prices sounds good and attractive but they never care how the government is going to get back the estimated RM8 billion and Rafizi never explained except saying there are other ways the government could get the income.
This just means he himself and his think-tank haven’t the slightest idea how except increase prices in other items – meaning whatever increase in disposable income of the people from the car tax cut will be spent on other items which prices would increase.
So, whats the difference? And reducing car prices would create more jams on the road – meaning more and bigger roads need to be constructed, more parking spaces need to be constructed and many more utilities for cars need to be erected.
On top of that, how is our local car industry going to develop when imported cars are on the same level – competition or not – countries which have car industries like Japan and Korea still protect their car industry despite them being developed in the sector.
The manner Rafizi and PR leaders put forth their ideas are just like children with wild dreams, working on fantasies to comfort themselves – in this case to comfort those who support them and trying to influence others to have similar fantasies.

tunku : cut that , cut this, no that and no this, toll free etc........at the end we will see our government got no income and the country's economy will go down the drain.thanks to the "brilliant" thinking of pakatan. proton and perodua will seize operation, thousands will be jobless . like i said before, its easy to promise something when you know you are not the authority.

Goals of Fasting

During this Ramadhan do not let the sweetness of our deeds vansh into the night, leaving only emptiness. When one contemplates the texts on fasting, its wisdom and goals in Shariah, and looks at the reality of the Muslim communities, one realizes a wide gap between the reality and our obligations. Remember that Ramadhan is a bounty that Allah blessed His servants with, to strengthen their faith, and increase their piety (Taqwa). Allah said: "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become pious." (Al-Baqarah 2:183). This article is an attempt to present the essential causes of this gap, and to some remedies. primary reason for the gap is ignorance about the goals of fasting and the wisdom behind it. Many Muslims ignore the purpose and wisdom of fasting. Fasting is done merely to conform to the social environmet without contemplation. If one is not aware of the divine wisdom of Shariah and its fruits in this world and in the hereafter, one will not apply it in the right way.

Goals of Fasting

Achieving Taqwa: is one of the most important wisdom of fasting. Fasting brings on Taqwa as it lessens the desire of the stomach and mutes the sexual appetite. Whoever fasts frequently would overcome these two desires more easily. This deter against committing abominations and sins and assist in controlling life leading to Taqwa.
Strengthening willpower and acquiring patience: The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam called Ramadhan the month of patience as it increases one's will power to control his desire and the selfishness of his soul. This training allows him to be strong in following Allah's commands. The most important being to carry the Message and propel it forward. The person trains himself to be patient in obeying Allah by stopping at the limits set by Allah both by way of action and abstention. Allah said: "These are the limits set by Allah, so approach them not." (Al-Baqarah 2:187)
Fasting is pure worship: The fact that he is abstaining from food and drink both in public and in secret shows his honest faith and strong love of Allah, and his knowledge and feeling that Allah is all-knowing of everything. For this reason Allah has made the reward for fasting greater than for any other type of worship. Allah said in the hadith Qudsi: "Every deed of the son of Adam will be multiplied [in rewards], the good deed by ten of its like, up to seven hundreds, up to whatever Allah wills, except fasting, it is for Me and I will reward it. He abandons his desire and his food for My sake.." (Related by Muslim) lbn al-Qayyim said: "...And people may see that a person is not eating in front of them, but the fact that he is really abandoning his food and his desire for the sake of God is a thing that nobody can find out about, and that is the essence of fasting." (Zaad al-Ma'ad 2/29).
Relieving Muslims from life's distractions: Eating, drinking, and socializing all distract a person and weaken ties with Allah. It is by the Mercy of Allah that Muslims are ordered to fast so as not to be bothered by the intrusion of these activities. Nor by the thought about them nor the anticipation for them when devoting themselves to the all types of worship Either reading the Qur'an, offering additional prayer or making I'tikaf. For this reason the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said: "Fasting is a shield, and a secure fortress against Hell fire" (Related by Ahmad).
Discovering Allah's Blessings: A person experiences the hardship of the poor. He should then be thankful to Allah Who has blessed him with His bounty while others are deprived. This should make him more sympathetic and willing to share this bounty. The poor rediscovers that fasting helps a person be more devoted to worship. More able to concentrate and meditate. He should then be able of this devotion all year long, a blessing he should thank Allah for.
Acquiring strength and endurance:It has been discovered that depriving the body of food for a period of time helps its defense and endurance mechanism. This in turn this protects the body from certain diseases.
Remember that fasting is not only dependent on abstentions: Many believe that fasting consist only of certain abstentions, forgetting that Allah established certain acts of worship with fasting. Among which are:
Qiyamul-layl: The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said: "Whoever performed the night prayer during Ramadhan out of belief and anticipating God's rewards, will be forgiven his previous sins."(Related by Muslim).Performing Umrah: The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said: "An Umrah during Ramadhan is like a Hajj with me." (Related by al-Hakim).
Offering Iftar (meal) to those who fasted. The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said: "Whoever feeds a fasting person has the same reward as him, except that the reward of the fasting person will not be diminished." (Related by Ahmad).
Reading and completing the Qur'an: The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said: "Fasting and [reading] Qur'an will intercede for the person: fasting will say: O Lord I forbade him eating and drinking so let me intercede for him, and the Qur'an will say: I deprived him from his night sleep so let me intercede for him," he then said: "So they will intercede." (Related by Ahmad). The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam used to recite the whole Qur'an to Angel Jibreel each Ramadhan.
Giving in charity: Ibn Abbas radhiallahu anhu said: "The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam was the most generous among people, and he was more generous during the month of Ramadhan." (Related by Muslim).
I`tikaaf: which is to confine oneself in the masjid for prayer and invocation leaving the worldly activities. Ibn Abbas radhiallahu anhu said: "The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam used to perforrn I'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadhan." (Related by Muslim). It is surprising that many people have abandoned I'tikaf though the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam never abandoned it from the time he arrived to Madinah until he died.
Supplication: In the verses dealing with fasting, Allah said: "And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad) concerning Me, then answer them, I am indeed near to them. I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me." (Al-Baqarah 2: 186). This is an encouragement for the fasting person to increase his invocation. The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said: "Three invocations will be answered: The invocation of the fasting person, the invocation of the oppressed, and the invocation of the traveler." (Related by Muslim).
Repentance: Ramadhan is the time of repentance and return to Allah, for it is a time when the devils are chained, and when many people are saved from hell fire every night by the grace of Allah.
Applying oneself in all good deeds in the last ten days of Ramadhan: Aysha radhiallabu anha said: "When the last ten days come, he sallallahu alayhe wa sallam would pray most of the night and wake his family, and apply himself, and tighten up his loincloth.", and she also said: "The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhe wa sallam used to strive in the last days of Ramadhan more than he did during the other days." (Related by Muslim).
Abstaining from vain talk: Sins decrease the reward of fasting although they do not annul it. The Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said: "Fasting is not [only] abstaining from eating and drinking, but abstaining from vain and obscene talk, so if someone insulted you or wronged you say: I am fasting." (Related by al-Hakim) and he also said: 'Whoever does not abandon lying, then Allah does not need him to abandon his food and drink." (Related by al-Bukhari).

Bonus For Civil Servants Proof Of Government's Sincerity - Najib

KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 (Bernama) -- The provision of bonus for civil servants is proof of the government's sincerity in championing the interests of the people, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He said it was in line with the 1Malaysia concept which emphasised "people first, performance now".
"It also reflects the ability of the goverment to manage the economy well," he said at a breaking of the fast function at the Surau Taman Sri Angsana Hilir, Pandan here Wednesday night.
The Prime Minister earlier in a statement had announced a half-month bonus, with a minimum payment of RM500, for civil servants and a special payment of RM500 for government pensioners.
The payments will be made on Aug 9.
The bonus and special payment will benefit 1.27 million civil servants and 657,000 government pensioners, respectively.
At the function, Najib also announced a contribution of 8,946 pieces of cloth to be sewn as "jubah" for imams and mosque and surau committee members (for suraus authorised to hold Friday prayers) throughout the country.
Besides this, he said each mosque in Selangor would also receive 10 litres of zam-zam water and 10kg of dates.
"This contributions are made possible by Kelab Putera 1Malaysia," he said.
Najib also announced a RM400,000 allocation to upgrade Surau Taman Sri Angsana Hilir.

tunku : Thank you Mr Prime Minister. Keep doing the good work for the people.this is what we say "JANJI DITEPATI".

Phobia With Independence Day Theme, PR 'Threatens' Govt.

The phobia of Pakatan Rakyat (PR) on the slogan of ‘Janji DiTepati’ (Promise Fulfilled) seems to be getting more and more chronic. PR seems to be trying too hard to ensure that the slogan would not remain as the theme for Independence Day. Their excuse is that it would not provide the best picture regarding the spirit of Independence.
For that, PAS Secretary General, Datuk Mustafa Ali provided seven days to the government to change the theme to something that is more inclusive or PR would suggest other themes. Well, it seems lucky that he did not threaten to organize demonstration and cause trouble to the public.
Mustafa Ali also admitted that 'when people sees the theme ‘Janji Ditepati’, it would remind them of BN'.
Thus, we cannot help but to ask, perhaps he is trying to suggest that the theme should be changed to ‘Janji Bukan Untuk diTepati’ (Promise Should Not Be Fulfilled) so that rakyat would know that it is PR?
even so, who is Mustafa Ali to order things to the government? Who is PAS to suggest other themes for the Independence Day? When even in PR, PAS is just a follower. What are Mustafa Ali or PAS's rights to change the theme for our Independence Day?
Besides, what do PAS know about Independence? They are working alongside DAP, siblings to PAP, who wishes to 'invade' Malaysia. Don't PAS work with PKR who works alongside Zionists and accepts funds from them?
All of those shows that PAS do not know anything about the spirit of Independence, but all of the sudden, they seemed to be raged with the ‘Janji DiTepati’ theme.
Prior to this, a TV station did run a survey regarding the theme of Independence Day among youth, and the result show that most of them are not aware about it. It is claer that the theme is a small matter that do not even attract any attention. But it was turned to a big thing only because of PAS.
And somehow, PAS bringing this matter up is somewhat showing that PR do not really fulfil their promise.
So it is clear that the theme ‘Janji DiTepati’ is inclusive and it does describe the Malaysia today which is still an Independent country and is still in harmony, peace and well developed thanks to the commitment given by the government to rakyat in fulfilling their promises.
Perhaps this is too much for Mustafa Ali to accept, but this is a fact and an honest man would never have any problem to accept this fact.

tunku : janji ditepati is meant for everyone, not only for the federal government alone. all the states government too no matter from BN or pakatan should uphold the slogan "janji ditepati". all promises made to the rakyat must be fulfilled. i guess those opposing this slogan are the one that can't fulfilled their promises to rakyat.that's why they are jumping up and down just looking at the slogan.

Prophet’s sermon regarding the month of Ramadan

Prophet’s sermon regarding the month of Ramadan
“O People! The month of Allah (Ramadan) has come with its mercies, blessings and forgivenesses. Allah has decreed this month the best of all months. The days of this month are the best among the days and the nights are the best among the nights and the hours during Ramadan are the best among the hours. This is a month in which you have been invited by Him (to fast and pray). Allah has honoured you in it. In every breath you take is a reward of Allah, your sleep is worship, your good deeds are accepted and your invocations are answered.
Therefore, you must invoke your Lord in all earnestness with hearts free from sin and evil, and pray that Allah may help you to keep fast, and to recite the Holy Qur’an. Indeed, miserable is the one who is deprived of Allah’s forgiveness in this great month. While fasting, remember the hunger and thirst on the Day of Judgement. Give alms to the poor and needy. Pay respect to your elders, have sympathy for your youngsters and be kind towards your relatives and kinsmen. Guard your tongue against unworthy words, and your eyes from scenes that are not worth seeing (forbidden) and your ears from sounds that should not be heard.
Be kind to orphans so that if your children may become orphans they will also be treated with kindness. Do repent to Allah for your sins and supplicate with raised hands at the times of prayer as these are the best times, during which Allah Almighty looks at His servants with mercy. Allah Answers if they supplicate, Responds if they call, Grants if He is asked, and Accepts if they entreat.
O people! You have made your conscience the slave of your desires. Make it free by invoking Allah for forgiveness. Your back may break from the heavy load of your sins, so prostrate yourself before Allah for long intervals, and make this load lighter. Understand fully that Allah has promised in His Honour and Majesty that, people who perform salat and sajdah (prostration) will be guarded from Hell-fire on the Day of Judgement.
O people! If anyone amongst you arranges for iftar (meal at sunset) for any believer, Allah will reward him as if he had freed a slave, and Allah will forgive him his sins. A companion asked: “but not all of us have the means to do so” The Prophet (SAWS) replied: Keep yourself away from Hell-fire though it may consist of half a date or even some water if you have nothing else.
O people! Anyone who during this month cultivates good manners will walk over the Sirat (bridge to Paradise) on the day when feet will tend to slip. For anyone who during this month eases the workload of his servants, Allah will make easy his accounting, and for anyone who doesn’t hurt others during this month, Allah will safeguard him from His Wrath on the Day of Judgement. Anyone who respects and treats an orphan with kindness during this month, Allah shall look at him with kindness on that Day. Anyone who treats his kinsmen well during this month, Allah will bestow His Mercy on him on that Day, while anyone who mistreats his kinsmen during this month, Allah will keep away from His Mercy.
Whosoever offers the recommended prayers during this month, Allah will save him from Hell, and whoever observes his obligations during this month, his reward will be seventy times the reward during other months. Whoever repeatedly invokes Allah’s blessings on me, Allah will keep his scale of good deeds heavy, while the scales of others will be tending to lightness. Whoever recites during this month an ayat (verse) of the Holy Qur’an, will get the reward of reciting the whole Qur’an in other months.
O people! The gates of Paradise remain open during this month. Pray to your Lord that they may not be closed for you. While the gates of Hell are closed, pray to your Lord that they never open for you. Satan has been chained; invoke your Lord not to let him dominate you.”

Why Opposition Going Berserk Over Independence Day Theme?

The slogan is easy, “Janji DiTepati” (Promise Fulfilled), but that is enough to make Pakatan Rakyat go berserk. Most opposition blogs and portals without any shame began to show their anxiety over the slogan.
Somehow, such honest slogan was said to have the essence of politic.
How can Promise Fulfilled be seen as politic?
Too bad for the opposition when the “Janji DiTepati" theme is used in advertisements to promote various aid which was given by the government, and now it us taken to be the theme for our national Independence Day.
It seems to be very painful for them to accept this slogan. Well, probably because they are still yet to fulfill any of their promises. Just look at Kampung Buah Pala, Penang where PR promised that they would solve the people's problem within two weeks, but the kampung ended up vanishing in the end.
And who can forget the September 16 Promise. Or the promise to implement hudud in Terengganu if PAS rules in 1999 GE.
Some even promised 'heaven' but all there is would be 'heaven on earth' where it is filled with massage houses, karaoke centres, gambling centres and nightclubs which are growing rapidly in states which they are ruling.
Even then, the opposition kept on making promises. Up until today, they kept on throwing promises, free education, reduced oil price, disbanding of tolls and various other illogical promises.
When the fact is, even after three years of managing a few states, opposition still fail to fulfill their manifesto, including the easy ones. For example, water tariff in Kedah and water supply in Selangor.
Even when numbers had shown that their promises are illogical, thet kept on making the same promises. Why? because that is the only thing they can do. Making promises, not fulfilling them.
And by going berserk, it gets clear that the opposition knows that they are unable to fulfill any of the things that they have mentioned to rakyat. That is why they fear ‘janji ditepati’.
The fact is, ‘janji ditepati’ is the government;s slogan, not UMNO and BN. It is a statement to describe the commitment taken by the government to serve its people. And the commitment had shown its results where rakyat manages to enjoy various benefit.
We should not link the slogan with politics, like how the opposition wishes to see it. It is the truth. Unless the slogan says 'janji ditepati' but no promises are fulfilled.
But today, we have received almost everything which had been promised by the government, so, why should we question the theme?
The opposition can accuse that the slogan is political, but what is important here is honesty, which the opposition do not have. That is why they are going crazy over the theme of our Independence Day this year.

tunku : of course they will go berserk because they can't fulfilled their promises. their promises are made to be broken.when they sees BN's "Janji Ditepati" slogan, they feel lost. they should be ashamed of their empty promises.

Pakatan pledges to slash car prices

Pakatan Rakyat's election pledge will include abolishing excise duties on cars to reduce household debt and increase disposable income.
According to PKR strategies director Rafizi Ramli (left) , a whopping 72 percent of households currently own cars and are paying almost double the actual value of the vehicle due to excise duties.
He said this was an easy and viable strategy to increase household income, which is among Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's main goals.
"Between raising household incomes and reducing outlays (on cars) which improves a household's disposable income, any economist will tell you its easier to reduce outlays," he told a press conference.

tunku : when you are not in power you can make promises that is beyond your capabilities. that's why till now there are many promises made by the pakatan's during last election can't be fulfilled. pakatan now pledging lots of fairy tales promises to the people. demolish this , demolish that, no toll, free tertiary education and now the latest is to abolish excise duties fro the cars. one BIG question is, if all the government's income are being reduced, how the government will spend on it's expenditures? what will happen to our economy? then again proton will surely die and thousands will be without job. the people should not fall into opposition's empty promises. they will ruin this country's future.show the exit door to them.

Inner dimensions of Ramadan fasting

By: Abu Hamid al-Ghazali

It should be known that there are three grades of Ramadan Fasting: ordinary, special and extra special.
Ordinary Fasting means abstaining from food, drink and sexual satisfaction.
Special Fasting means keeping one's ears, eyes, tongue, hands and feet - and all other organs - free from sin.
Extra special Fasting means fasting of the heart from unworthy concerns and worldly thoughts, in total disregard of everything but God, Great and Glorious is He. This kind of Fast is broken by thinking of worldly matters, except for those conducive to religious ends, since these constitute provision for the Hereafter and are not of this lower world. Those versed in the spiritual life of the heart have even said that a sin is recorded against one who concerns himself all day with arrangements for breaking his Fast. Such anxiety stems from lack of trust in the bounty of God, Great and Glorious is He, and from lack of certain faith in His promised sustenance.
To this third degree belong the Prophets, the true Auliya and the intimates of God. It does not lend itself to detailed examination in words, as its true nature is better revealed in action. It consists in utmost dedication to God, Great and Glorious is He, to the neglect of everything other than God, Great and Glorious is He. It is bound up with the significance of His words: 'Say: "Allah (sent it down)": then leave them to play in their vain discussions.' [al-An'am, 6:91]
Inward Requirements for Ramadan Fasting
As for Special Fasting, this is the kind practiced by the righteous. It means keeping all one's organs free from sin and six things are required for its accomplishment:

1. SEE NOT WHAT DISPLEASES ALLAH (SWT)
A chaste regard, restrained from viewing anything that is blameworthy or reprehensible, or that distracts the heart and diverts it from the remembrance of God, Great and Glorious is He. Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace, said: 'The furtive glance is one of the poisoned arrows of Satan, on him be God's curse. Whoever forsakes it for fear of God will receive from Him, Great and Glorious is He, a faith the sweetness of which he will find within his heart.'
Jabir relates from Anas that Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace, said: 'Five things break a man's Fast: lying, backbiting, gossiping, perjury and a lustful gaze.'

2. SPEAK NOT...
Guarding one's tongue from idle chatter, lying, gossiping, obscenity, rudeness, arguing and controversy; making it observe silence and occupying it with remembrance of God, Great and Glorious is He, and with recitation of Holy Quran. This is the fasting of the tongue. Sufyan Said: 'Backbiting annuls the Fast.' Layth quotes Mujahid as saying: 'Two habits annul Fasting: backbiting and telling lies.'
Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace, said: 'Fasting is a shield; so when one of you is Fasting he should not use foul or foolish talk. If someone attacks him or insults him, let him say: "I am Fasting, I am Fasting!"'
According to Tradition: 'Two women were Fasting during the time of Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace. They were so fatigued towards the end of the day, from hunger and thirst that they were on the verge of collapsing. They therefore sent a message to Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace, requesting permission to break their Fast. In response, Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace, sent them a bowl and said: "Tell them to vomit into it what they have eaten." One of them vomited and half filled the bowl with fresh blood and tender meat, while the other brought up the same so that they filled it between them. The onlookers were astonished. Then the Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace, said: "These two women have been Fasting from what God made lawful to them, and have broken their Fast on what God, Great and Glorious is He, made unlawful to them. They sat together and indulged in backbiting, and here is the flesh of the people they maligned!"'

3. HEAR NOT...
Closing one's ears to everything reprehensible; for everything unlawful to utter is likewise unlawful to listen to. That is why God, Great and Glorious is He, equated the eavesdropper with the profiteer, in His words, Great and Glorious is He: 'Listeners to falsehood, consumers of illicit gain.' [al-Ma'idah, 5:42]
God, Great and Glorious is He, also said: 'Why do their rabbis and priests not forbid them to utter sin and consume unlawful profit?' [al-Ma'idah, 5:63]
Silence in the face of backbiting is therefore unlawful. God, Great and Glorious is He, said: 'You are then just like them.' [al-Nisa, 4:140] That is why the Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace, said: 'The backbiter and his listener are copartners in sin.'

4. DO NOT...
Keeping all other limbs and organs away from sin: the hands and feet from reprehensible deeds, and the stomach from questionable food at the time for breaking Fast. It is meaningless to Fast - to abstain from lawful food - only to break one's Fast on what is unlawful. A man who Fast like this may be compared to one who builds a castle but demolishes a city. Lawful food injurious in quantity not in quality, so Fasting is to reduce the former. A person might well give up excessive use of medicine, from fear of ill effects, but he would be a fool to switch to taking poison. The unlawful is a poison deadly to religion, while the lawful is a medicine, beneficial in small doses but harmful in excess. The object of Fasting is to induce moderation. Holy Prophet Mohammad, on him be peace, said: 'How many of those who Fast get nothing from it but hunger and thirst!' This has been taken to mean those who break their Fast on unlawful food. Some say it refers to those who abstain from lawful food, but break their Fast on human flesh through backbiting, which is unlawful. Others consider it an allusion to those who do not guard their organs from sin.

5. AVOID OVEREATING
Not to over-indulge in lawful food at the time of breaking Fast, to the point of stuffing one's belly. There is no receptacle more odious to God, Great and Glorious is He, than a belly stuffed full with lawful food. Of what use is the Fast as a means of conquering God's enemy and abating appetite, if at the time of breaking it one not only makes up for all one has missed during the daytime, but perhaps also indulges in a variety of extra foods? It has even become the custom to stock up for Ramadan with all kinds of foodstuffs, so that more is consumed during that time than in the course of several other months put together. It is well known that the object of Fasting is to experience hunger and to check desire, in order to reinforce the soul in piety. If the stomach is starved from early morning till evening, so that its appetite is aroused and its craving intensified, and it is then offered delicacies and allowed to eat its fill, its taste for pleasure is increased and its force exaggerated; passions are activated which would have lain dormant under normal conditions.
The spirit and secret nature of Fasting is to weaken the forces which are Satan's means of leading us back to evil. It is therefore essential to cut down one's intake to what one would consume on a normal night, when not Fasting. No benefit is derived from the Fast if one consumes as much as one would usually take during the day and night combined. Moreover, one of the properties consists in taking little sleep during the daytime, so that one feels the hunger and thirst and becomes conscious of the weakening of one's powers, with the consequent purification of the heart.
One should let a certain degree of weakness carry over into the night, making it easier to perform the night Prayers (tahajjud) and to recite the praises (awrad). It may then be that Satan will not hover around one's heart, and that one will behold the Kingdom of Heaven. The Night of Destiny represents the night on which something of this Kingdom is revealed. This is what is meant by the words of God, Great and Glorious is He:
'We surely revealed it on the Night of Power.' [al-Qadr, 97:1]
Anyone who puts a bag of food between his heart and his breast becomes blind to this revelation. Nor is keeping the stomach empty sufficient to remove the veil, unless one also empties the mind of everything but God, Great and Glorious is He. That is the entire matter, and the starting point of it all is cutting down on food.

6. LOOK TO GOD WITH FEAR AND HOPE
After the Fast has been broken, the heart should swing like a pendulum between fear and hope. For one does not know if one's Fast will be accepted, so that one will find favor with God, or whether it will be rejected, leaving one among those He abhors. This is how one should be at the end of any act of worship one performs.
It is related of al-Hasan ibn Abil Hasan al-Basri that he once passed by a group of people who were laughing merrily. He said: 'God, Great and Glorious is He, has made the month of Ramadan a racecourse, on which His creatures compete in His worship. Some have come in first and won, while others have lagged behind and lost. It is absolutely amazing to find anybody laughing and playing about on the day when success attends the victors, and failure the wasters. By God, if the veil were lifted off, the doer of good would surely be preoccupied with his good works and the evildoer with his evil deeds.' In too full of joy to indulge in idle sport, while for one who has suffered rejection laughter will be precluded by remorse.
Of al-Ahnaf ibn Qays it is reported that he was once told: 'You are an aged elder; Fasting would enfeeble you.' But he replied: 'By this I am making ready for a long journey, Obedience to God, Great and Glorious is He, is easier to endure than His punishment.'
Such are the inwardly significant meanings of Fasting.

Hua Zong: Chinese First, Malaysia Later

Pheng Yin Huah, President of Hua Zong Association recently regarding about the One School System which was said to be against the Federal Constitution and mocked Khairy Jamaluddin's statement which questions vernacular schools. Yin Huah statement clearly shows that the want 'Chinese First, Malaysia Later'.
it seems that Hua Zong, just like Dong Zong, are racist extremists who hold on to their Chinese roots without even considering the reality and the effects towards the country.
When we talk about the education system, we do not only talk about education but we also touch upon unity. Only hypocrites would not accept the fact that segregated education system is one of the main reason for the racial tension nowadays.
Pheng Yin Huah's action in referring to the Constitution to justify his argument is just sad,
According to Malaysian Constitution, 'no one would be stopped from using or teaching other languages." This means that all races are free to use and learn by using their own mother tongue.
But, the national language, Bahasa Malaysia should be learned by all and it is the official language. Language and education is important in forming unity within the country. That is why we can see that no government in the world allow different schools for different races, other than Malaysia.
And it is clear that things that are practiced in Malaysia is not good and Hua Zong and Dong Zong are the proof.
If rakyat are taught in a single roof (One system school), extremists such as Hua Zong, Dong Zong or even Perkasa will never exist. But, too bad, from these Chinese extremists, Perkasa was then established to bring stability towards their demands and rudeness. Thus, triggering clashes that could threaten the country's stability.
If Hua Zong's issue is that they are scared that Mandarin might be extinct, vernacular school is not the only answer because they could still do it after school like how Malay children learn in sekolah agama.
From the economic angle, separated schools do not bring any profit, it even bring losses. We do not need to look far. The cost of Tamil school are high just to cover a few students and teachers. In Subang Jaya, there is a Tamil school which is situated right beside a sekolah kebangsaan, but the Tamil school only has a few students. Obviously, the utility cost, teachers' salary, staff and others had to be covered by the government. If Tamil school do not exist and they learn in sekolah kebangsaan, all of those costs could be reduced.
In short vernacular schools would not just bring failure towards unity, it also costs a lot of financial loss.
But, writer feels that there is no use bringing out anymore statistics because Hua Zong, Dong Zong or Dong Jiao Zong would just ignore all of the facts given. They would not back up even a bit. They seemed to have been taught to be chauvinists from their vernacular schools.
That is why Chinese extremists organizations which 'fights for education' should be given serious attention because if the government really want to have the spirit of 1Malaysia. They should not be handled with diplomacy or professionally because it is obvious that they are not taught that way. Their way would be the gangster way. The way where one needs to threaten and blackmail until their demands are fulfilled.

tunku : the most racist association is this Hua Zong. the should learn from their fellow chinese in indonesia. the chinese in indonesia put the national language above all. when come to property rights etc then they want to be equal but when come to education, they want to be different. i support One School System.

Najib's Contributions Until The Age Of 59

YAB Dato’ Seri Najib might have just hold the Prime Minister post for three years, but his contributions to rakyat are just too many to be listed.
Beginning from the age of 22, he had became an MP before he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Energy, Telecommunication and Post and the the Deputy Minister of Education and Deputy Minister of Finance. This means, at such a young age, Dato’ Seri Najib had contributed to rakyat though his various portfolios.
His determination and sincerity in his work had grabbed the attention of the Prime Minister back then, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad who then listed his name for DUN Pekan which later brought him to become Pahang's Chief Minister at the age of 29.
From there, Najib as the CM and one of the pioneer figure of Pahang Foundation in promoting education and sports among youth via scholarship and funds. He also generated the state's economy through natural resources with the cooperation with FELDA, by opening the path towards the new land scheme for the poor and for those who do not own any land.
Other than contributing through politics, Najib who was appointed as the Chairman of Lembaga Kemajuan Penternakan, Majuternak, had generated various new ideas to help farmers.
And when he became the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, his determination in improving the quality of sports in Malaysia was proven when Malaysia managed to show its true colors during the SEA games 1989 which was held in Kuala Lumpur.
In 1991, Najib was appointed as the Defence Minister and up until now, he is seen as the best Defence Minister Malaysia has ever had. He had modernized and increase the credibility of Malaysian Army through various trainings and new equipments.
After that, he was appointed as the Education Minister. Here, he restructured and privatized public universities and supported cooperation from foreign universities. Few of his contribution which had brought benefit in the education system, now would be the upgrade of education certificate to diploma to increase teachers' salary scale.
His service as a Defence Minister was once again needed in 1995. He then took the chance to increase the moral and motivation of the Malaysian army which is already then, respected by the world, by introducing a better housing scheme, restructure of allowance and their salary.
It is clear that Dato’ Seri Najib's contributions even before he became our PM were just immense.
Najib was appointed as the PM on April 3, 2009, and since then, he did not waste any time. Within three years, his transformation idea managed to be implemented and it even came to a huge success, instead of just empty words.
He then introduced the Government Transformation Program (GTP) to increase quality, skill and transparency in public service and the government. KPI was then introduced to measure performance of officers and government agencies.
Besides that, National Key Result Areas (NKRA) was also announced as one of the measure to solve seven issues which involves rakyat and the country which include reducing crime, fighting corruption, increasing students' performance, increasing standard of living among the poor, increasing basic infrastructure in rural areas, ensuring clean and treated water for everyone, increasing public transportation in cities and to tackle issues in cost of living.
All of those are now in process and a big part of them has began to show great results. It is clear that Najib do fulfill his promises without wasting any time.
The 1Malaysia Campaign which was launched by him was also welcomed by rakyat.
Within three years, he managed to strengthen the nation's economy with the highest increase in GDP with 5.9% in September 2009 from a low low record of -7.6% in March 2009 (Before he was appointed as PM).
The country's political and economic stability is the result made by Najib's leadership, and it enables the government to announce direct help for rakyat such as BR1M, KR1M, TR1M, 1Malaysia Clinic etc.
Based on the facts above, in short, right after he reached his 20s, Najib did not stop contributing to rakyat. But, as his age reaches 59 today, Najib never really think that his post is the reward of his contributions, but he takes it as a huge help from rakyat as they had given their trust to him. Thus, he needs to remain inspired and motivated to serve and contribute without fail.
No one can deny his contributions, not even opposition supporters. No one can deny the fact that they did receive cash and help from various programs which was inspired by Najib.
We should all thank him for what he has done to us. With that, we pray that Dato’ Seri Najib would remain healthy so that he could continuously contribute to the country and rakyat.

Happy birthday, Dato’ Seri Najib, our respected Prime Minister!
