Sex video: Anwar gives statement to police; Eskay dares him to take oath

KUALA LUMPUR: Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim gave his statement to police at the Dang Wangi Friday station Thursday, in connection with a sex video featuring a man allegedly resembling him.
Anwar arrived at the police station at 2.50pm in a car, together with his wife Datin Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and his brother-in-law Wan Mokhtar Wan Ismail.
The full video was screened to a select group of media representatives by a group known as 'Datuk T' at Carcosa Seri Negara here on March 21.
Police began investigation into the sex video after Anwar lodged a report and denied he was the man in the video.
Meanwhile, a member of the 'Datuk T' trio, businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, challenged Anwar to swear on the Quran after Friday prayers that he was not the man in the video.
"I also want to invite all those who doubt the truth to come," he told a press conference.
He denied that Datuk T was involved in distributing clips of the sex video.
Two video clips of the sexual act between the man and a woman, said to be of Chinese nationality, were earlier uploaded on YouTube. - Bernama

Sex video: Another snippet on YouTube

PETALING JAYA: A second snippet of the controversial sex video featuring a man allegedly resembling an Opposition leader has been posted on YouTube.
The video clip, date-stamped Feb 21 and lasting one minute and 47 seconds, was uploaded on Tuesday.
It was removed Wednesday evening for violating YouTube's policy on nudity or sexual content.
Another clip of the video was also uploaded on the Internet on April 4.
The second clip is believed to be the ending of the 22-minute video screened to journalists at Carcosa Seri Negara on March 21.
Three men subsequently came forward to identify themselves as the "Datuk T" behind the screening of the video.
They were former Malacca Chief Minister Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik, businessman Datuk Eskay Abdullah and former Perkasa treasurer Datuk Shuaib Lazim.

Police must expose who is the "performer"

Sex video: Police won't hesitate to expose 'performer', if necessary

SUBANG JAYA: The police will not hesitate to expose to the public "the performer" allegedly resembling an Opposition leader, in the controversial sex video.
"Investigation is on-going. Whatever needs to be exposed, we will expose, whatever we need not expose, we will not expose," Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said Tuesday.
"We will investigate first. When the time comes, police will disclose who the performer is. We are still investigating the case under Section 292 of the Penal Code (which concerns the distribution of obscene material)," he told reporters at the end of a meeting here of criminal investigation department heads from throughout the country.
Asked why the Attorney-General had returned the investigation papers to the police, Khalid said this was normal when an investigation was being completed.
"If he (the Attorney-General) finds anything not clear, he returns the papers to us," he added.
Khalid said the papers would probably be re-submitted to the A-G's Chambers this week.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar announced recently that the sex video had been verified as genuine by local experts.

tunku : the police must expose who the performer is because all these while the whole nation assume it is anwar ibrahim. anwar ibrahim is not an ordinary man.he is an opposition leader and well known.if police don't expose who is the performer than it won't be fair on anwar.we want police to expose who the performer is.

Abang Jo the new CM of Sarawak ?

00Abang Jo all out to make Kuching more vibrant with new portfolio

KUCHING: Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg is wasting no time in promoting tourism in Sarawak, particularly here, after he was tasked to take the Tourism and Heritage Ministry under his wings.
One of his immediate plans was to transform 12 traditional Malay villages along Seberang Hilir under the Pantai Damai and Samariang seats into a more organised and vibrant place to live in and visit.
Although the portfolio is temporary until the state Cabinet’s reshuffle which is expected to take place after the State Legislative Assembly sitting in mid-June, Johari is no stranger to the tourism sector.
After all, he was the Tourism Minister between September 2000 and June 2004 and during his tenure, among others, he managed to get direct air links to several European destinations and Federal funding to build a waterfront along Kampung Seberang Hilir.
Johari, who is also Housing and Urban Development Minister, said he thus needed the people’s continuous support.
Tourism would also play a key role in providing more employment opportunities for the young generation, he said.
“Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud told me this on Thursday, ‘Abang Jo, this is the sector that will give spin off to the economy particularly in the city’.
“My reply was ‘God willing, I will make Kuching just like Venice in Italy. We’ll get more cruise boats for Sarawak River and attract more honeymooners. And when there are many visitors, our layered-cakes and handicraft sales will also increase’,” Johari said at the Samariang PBB’s election appreciation dinner here on Friday night.
After the first post-election state Cabinet meeting last Thursday, Taib had announced that Johari would be taking over the ministry from Tan Sri Dr George Chan who lost in the April 16 election.

tunku : abang jo has done slendid job both in housing and tourism ministry.he had proven with his track record.we hope abang jo would be given finance or planning ministry so that he would be more prepared as the new sarawak cm when taib resign. abang jo had vast experience and seen as clean leader without issues. the future of sarawak will be more dynamic under his leadership.he had been a very loyal deputy all these while and deserved to be the next CM.

RM4bil roads for Penang- why should federal help?

GEORGE TOWN: The state government has announced plans to implement two new road projects costing some RM4bil to reduce traffic congestion on Penang island by up to 40%.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the first project was a 4.2km inner ring road connecting Gurney Drive to the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway (formerly Jelutong Expressway) using a combination of semi-tunnel and elevated road.
“The other is a 4.6km-long tunnel road linking Paya Terubong and Bandar Baru Air Itam to the expressway,” he said.
Lim said the state was inviting a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the two projects, adding that major contractors were encouraged to submit their designs through the RFP process.
“The projects, which will be awarded via open tender, do not have a commencement date but the state wants the project to be implemented quickly,” he said at a press conference yesterday.
Lim said the state had come up with the projects because roads here were getting more congested due to rapid development.
"I hope the Federal Government and the private sector will support the projects. It may be costly but they are crucial in managing traffic congestion on the island.
“The projects, which came about after a series of studies over two years, will be incorporated into the Penang Transport Master Plan,” he added.
Penang Municipal Council senior traffic engineer A. Rajendran said the two new roads could alleviate congestion by up to 40% along the local road network.

tunku: why should federal help? i guess it is enough help from federal.after all the development by the federal, dap is claiming all the credits.enough is enough. federal should should use it's money now for rural area.don't spend money for the cities.let the state do by its own.federal should concentrate on the rural developments such as road, water, electricity and schools.

MCA Should Focus On Gaining Chinese Support And Not Imitate DAP

KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 (Bernama) - The MCA should focus on gaining Chinese support and not be influenced by DAP which like to play the race card.
Umno supreme council member Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi said MCA should regain the strength lost due to the poor showing during the 2008 general election.
"MCA central committee member Loh Seng Kok should focus on strengthening the party rather than criticising Utusan Malaysia newspaper via Malaysiakini and Malaysian Insider," he said when launching an electronic dictionary at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here Sunday.
Dr Puad said Loh's criticism of Utusan Malaysia is not fair as the newspaper has served the nation well since the fight for independence from British rule.

tunku : not only mca but also gerakan and supp should do more on gaining the chinese support.we hardly see them doing it in full force.it is the pm and umno that doing all the efforts.if gerakan, supp and mca still doesn't improve, they will lose more seats in the coming GE.mca, supp and gerakan should do their part or else they should think of their own future.they need energetic, dynamic and new generation of leaders.

Umno and Pas- Solidarity Government.

Door Is Always Open For Talks With PAS, Says Ahmad Maslan

KUALA TERENGGANU, 22 April (Bernama) -- The door for Umno-PAS discussions on a solidarity government has never been closed, Umno information chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan said Friday.
Ahmad said that Umno looked forward to the day when Malays were united and no longer split because of politics.
"If PAS should decide to no longer be with PKR and the DAP in the opposition pact, we would be ready to discuss a solidarity government with them," he told reporters after a meeting here with Umno members from Bukit Payung and Ru Rendang.
Ahmad was commenting on a statement by PAS secretary general Datuk Mustafa Ali earlier today that his party would announce its stand in the opposition pact after investigations were completed on the sex video reported to feature someone resembling PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The setting up of a solidarity government had been suggested by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, but was rejected by leaders of PKR, DAP and PAS.

tunku : i am sure there are pas members that agrees with the solidarity government plan but nik aziz with his "erdogan" group opposed to this plan because their heart is filled with hatred and dirt.hope that hadi awang will convince his party members for the sake of malay unity in this country.hadi awang and his deputy too are no longer safe in pas as husam and mat sabu are teaming up to fight them for the presidency and deputy post.

Call For Taib's Immediate Exit A Blatant Ignorance Of Sarawak Politics - SPDP

MIRI, April 21 (Bernama) -- An MCA leader's call for Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud to step down immediately for losing the support of the Chinese in the recently-ended state election reveals a blatant ignorance of the political situation in the state. Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) vice-president Sylvester Entri Muran said today that the remarks by the MCA vice-president, Senator Gan Ping Sieu, were 'unbecoming' since Taib had led the State Barisan Nasional to retain a two-thirds majority and form a government. "MCA are using their sharpest spear to attack their own toughest shield. This is a clear-cut smear campaign by the MCA to undermine the state leadership," he said in a statement e-mailed to Bernama here Thursday. He said the loss of support of the Chinese voters in Sarawak in the recent state election was not sufficient reason for Taib to step down as he had proved himself by leading Barisan Nasional to win 55 of the 71 seats in the election. "The wishes of the voters in Sarawak ought to be respected, as the Chief Minister has a succession plan to ensure that Sarawak maintains its political stability and economic prosperity," he added. Entri, who retained the Marudi seat in the election, said that only the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) had fared badly in the election, losing in 13 of the 19 constituencies contested. On the other hand, he said, other component parties, such as the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) had won all the 35 seats it contested, while Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) won eight seats. The SPDP won in six constituencies, he added. Rather than making such an uncalled-for statement, Gan should focus on revitalising the MCA so that it could become a good platform for the Chinese community in Barisan Nasional, he said. He said there was still a lot of work for the MCA to do to gain the full support of the Chinese community in Peninsular Malaysia, and should, therefore, not waste time meddling in Sarawak politics. "I suggest that the MCA should not toe the line of (the) opposition in order to be popular within the (Chinese) community. The party should just sit down and analyse what has happened so that it can prepare for the next general election," he added. -- BERNAMA

tunku : first it was kj who asked taib mahmud to step down. now this gan from mca. they should understand that taib had said that he will step down in mid term and under his lead bn won 2/3 majority.not like pak lah who made bn lost the 2/3 majority in bn history.with losing 2/3 majority, it took pak lah 1 year to step down,so why ask taib to resign now when sarawak bn won 2/3 majority? let the smooth transition take place in sarawak. taib now is preparing to hand over his leadership to abang jo.it will take at least 2 years for this process to happen.people like kj and gan should look themselves at the mirror.the worst is kj,because of him and his father in-law bn lost 2/3 majority and still struggling till today.najib has to clear all their dirt and he is doing it well.gan who is only a senator, not elected by the people should shut his stinking mouth too. go and cure the dying mca first.

Swear on Quran to clear your name, Anwar told

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been challenged to clear his name by swearing on the Quran that he is not the man in a sex video.
Former Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuaib Lazim, one of the Datuk T trio who exposed the existence of the sex video, said the Opposition Leader must come clean on the matter.
He also challenged PAS leaders Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat and Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to swear on the Quran that they truly believed Anwar was a victim of slander.
“Nik Aziz and Hadi were quick to accuse us of slandering Anwar without even viewing the video.
“They make sweeping statements against us without even looking at the evidence, and they call themselves ulama,'' he said.
Shuaib, businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik, collectively known as Datuk T, exposed the existence of the video showing a man resembling Anwar having sex with a woman believed to be a prostitute.
Anwar, who has denied that he was the man in the sex video, lodged a police report claiming that it was a conspiracy to end his political career.

tunku : you think the moron dare to swear on Quran, if he dare he had done that to clear his name for his sodomy case.it is very simple , if you had done nothing wrong you won't be afraid to swear on Quran to clear your name like what Najib did when he was accused of murdering with altantuya but this moron all he know is that run away.when the sodomy case appeared he ran to turkish embassy and now he ran again to usa.

Najib Tun Razak providing 'touch points'

Gerakan Vice-President Says BN Politicians Should Learn From PM's 'Touch Points'

KOTA KINABALU, April 19 (Bernama) -- Gerakan Vice-President Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah said Barisan Nasional (BN) politicians should learn from the emphasis of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on providing 'touch points' for the people to gain their support.
Najib's thought leadership, policies and presence in Sarawak were described as the major factors in helping BN retain a two-thirds majority in the recent state election.
"It is important that in whatever we do, it (the action) should reach out and touch them (the voters)," he told reporters here today when asked to comment on the results of the election.
Tan said BN politicians could learn a lot from the Sarawak election, especially in asking themselves whether they had done enough to resolve issues raised by the people.
"Probably, not enough. We cannot make assumptions that we have done enough," he added.
Tan said the decision by some voters in Sarawak to vote for Opposition parties should be accepted and that the swing in support for the Opposition had to do with dissatisfaction over unfulfilled needs of the people.
"We had seen a lot of things in our trips to Sarawak (during the campaign). At the back of my mind, there was a sentiment of unhappiness and frustration...that certain things that needed to be done, was not done," he said.
Tan, who is also Sabah Industrial Development Minister, noted that the wave favouring the Opposition did not just sweep over urban areas but also beyond such areas as could be seen from the sizeable number of votes obtained by the Opposition elsewhere.
"I don't want to single out the Chinese. It was across the board, every community, not just the Chinese voters.
"They (the voters) made their decision. There must be a reason for them to vote in this particular manner. They are not just looking at Sarawak (issues). Their mind was open, they were looking at various issues in the country."
But Tan also said that the Opposition capitalised on the people's frustration in an aggressive manner, literally.
"They (the Opposition) were also very well-prepared. They planned everything, were very organised, very detailed -- we should learn something from Sarawak. I learnt," he said.

tunku : bn leaders should learn the approaches by najib, especially going to the ground.going to the ground does not mean that you only walk and greet people, shake hands etc.it is more than that.feel the pulse of the people, what are their concerns, what are the problems they are facing and how to help them.if every bn leaders can do this, i am sure BN will win with great majority in the next GE. it is still not too late. those who are there for a long long time should go.go gracefully.don't wait till you are thrown out.we have seen many leaders thrown out, samy vellu one of them and recently george chan.there are more but they survive because they were lucky but will not remain lucky forever. BN should be on attack mode now.gone are the days BN always on the defensive mode. we should attack in order to defense.get rid of all the viruses in the party now.

1MALAYSIA EMAIL- Not Finance by the Government.

Official email account for each Malaysian adult

Initiative is to allow direct and secure communication between the public and the Government
PUTRAJAYA: All Malaysians who are 18 years old and above will be assigned an email account each in order to receive statements, bills and notices from the Government.
The initiative would allow direct and secure communication between the public and the Government, said Tricubes Bhd chief executive officer Khairun Zainal Mokhtar.
Tricubes Bhd is the company developing the 1Malaysia Email project in collaboration with Microsoft.
Khairun said Tricubes Bhd would also spearhead the development of a web portal which would include social networking services, online bill checking and payments.
"Currently, the company is still running stress test for the portal.
"Hopefully, we can get it ready by July this year," he told a press conference at the fifth progress update of the Economic Transformation Programme in here, Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu), responding to queries on the project, said the 1Malaysia Email address would not be made compulsory.
"1Msia Email is a private sector-led initiative by Tricubes, with investment from the company and not the Government," a Pemandu source tweeted.

tunku: lim kit siang in his tweet and blog has started to poison the people's mind and condemn this project as though it is the government money.he is lying as usual to whole nation that government is spending money unnecessarily when it is not finance by the government.this is what dap is good at, lying and spinning.he should support and glad that such a project is being implemented.

Why SUPP should be given the DCM Post ?

Diluted Chinese representation in govt

SIBU: The poor showing of the Sarawak United People’s Party in the 10th state election has left the Chinese with no more than two representatives in the state government.
Assuming that the state government decides to preserve the Chinese quota, SUPP deputy secretary-general Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh is likely to take over as deputy chief minister from party president Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan, who was defeated in Piasau.
Wong, a minister in the last cabinet who won in Bawang Assan, is the more senior of the two successful Chinese candidates from SUPP.
The other candidate, Datuk Lee Kim Shim, who scrapped through in Senadin, is likely to be promoted to full minister.
SUPP had two ministers and four assistant ministers in the previous administration.
If the quota is retained, the other four SUPP candidates who won in the election will be made assistant ministers.
But the four are all Bumiputeras: Ranum Mina in Opar, Dr Jerip Susil in Bengoh, Dr Johnical Rayong in Engkilili and Datuk Francis Harden Hollis in Simanggang.
And what about change in the party? This had been much talked about by SUPP leaders, including Dr Chan, who is not the first SUPP president to be defeated by the DAP.
His immediate predecessor, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Wong Soon Kai, was trounced by Sarawak DAP chairman Wong Ho Leng in Bukit Assek in 1996.
Analyst Ong Kian Ming of UCSI University said that SUPP had not been able to deflect the attack on Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.
He said that SUPP had also failed to respond to “changes in the urban political landscape.”
Dr Chan has not indicated that he will resign as party president.
If he decides to stay on, he will probably give the reason that he wants to supervise changes in the party.
The danger for SUPP is that the Chinese will look at such a situation as “the same old story.”

tunku: why should supp get the dcm post , the bigger question is why dato sri wong soon koh? fisrt of all supp just won 6 seats and in that 6 seats, only 2 seats by Chinese representative. where else PRS won 8 seats and they are the one deserve more than the supp. if BN still want to give supp the dcm post, we hope they will put a Native Bumiputera representative. we must decide base on what the voters had decided on the 16th April 2011.there are strong suggestions that CM should change the state constitution to include a provision for such nomination so that non elected representatives from the Chinese community to sit in the State Legislative Assembly.this is not right. we must elect only elected representatives and again i point here that we must decide based on what the voters had voted.

Rejoin BN, Masing advises SNAP

KUCHING: SNAP should consider rejoining BN to make the party relevant again, suggested PRS president Dato Sri Dr James Jemut Masing yesterday.
“If they don’t do it (rejoin BN), they can consider closing shop,” said Masing.
Masing pointed out that the message SNAP conveyed to the electorate in the April 16 polls was outdated.
“SNAP has been away (from mainstream politics) for far too long. It has no network to convey its message to the people and the party’s campaigning method was not even working,” he told reporters.
He reiterated that it would be wise for the party’s leadership to stop whatever they were doing right now and rejoin the ruling coalition.
“I would like to advise SNAP to start cooperating with the BN again. Join us to strengthen BN for the next parliamentary and state elections.”
Yesterday, Masing retained Baleh with a 3,898-vote majority, beating Bendindang Manjah of PKR in a straight fight. He garnered 5,242 votes while Bendindang managed only 1,344 votes.

tunku : for the future of Native community in Sarawak, snap should consider offer from masing. the native should unite to fight the forces that are disuniting them in sarawak. lets unite the sarawak's native for the their future and sarawak's too.by now snap knows that pakatan is not the party to unite the people and bring progress to sarawak but to disunite and to rob sarawak's wealth.

Chinese Votes in Sarawak - Iban should get 2 DCM post.

Chinese Community In A Dilemma, Says Political Analyst

KUCHING, April 17 (Bernama) -- With the Sarawak United Peoples' Party (SUPP) now ranking fourth in the state Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition following its disastrous performance in yesterday's state polls, the Chinese community is facing a dilemma.
Previously the state BN's second largest component party, it suffered the highest casualty when it lost 13 out of 19 seats contested, including in Piasau, which saw its president and deputy chief minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan defeated by newcomer Ling Sie Kiong of the DAP.
A political analyst, Dr Jeniri Amir, said today the Chinese would be facing a Catch 22 situation because the community was going to carry less political weight due to a lack of representation in the state cabinet.
"This is the reality. They (Chinese) have to accept the far-reaching implication because they have made their decision which will cause them to be further alienated," he told Bernama here.
On the other hand, he said, the Bumiputera community, including the Bidayuh would protest if they did not get any representation in the government for helping to win seats for SUPP.
SUPP barely retained its mostly mixed Chinese-Bumiputera seats of Bawang Assan, Opar, Bengoh, Senadin, Simanggang and Engkili but lost 12 urban Chinese-majoirty seats to DAP and another three to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
Dr Jeniri, who is also Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) social sciences faculty senior lecturer said the ruling coalition would have to take care of the sentiments of the bumiputeras in the party, who wanted to see their own leaders appointed in the cabinet.
Unlike the appointment of defeated candidates as senators in the federal cabinet, he said it had never been a practice in Sarawak to enable those who lost in the state election to remain or appointed as ministers.
So far the most senior SUPP elected representative is party deputy secretary-general Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, the Second Finance Minister cum Environment and Public Health Minister, who retained his Bawang Assan seat.
Yesterday's 10th state election saw SUPP's seats further reduced from the 11 seats won in the May 2006 state election.

tunku : majority of the chinese voters has decided that they are with dap no matter what is the political scenario will be in sarawak. taib's tenure as cm is just merely an excuse for them.if we have a new cm,they will still vote for dap. now the BN in sarawak must appreciate it's bumi's voters by giving them all the important post. for me the dcm post meant for supp should be given to prs which won more seats than supp.supp lost in chinese majority area and only wins in the iban/bidayuh majority area.let there be one Iban and 1 Bidayuh representing 2 parties for the dcm post.this is what the voters decided and we should do it according to their wish.as a token a chinese representative from supp can be given a minister post.

BN Wins

Bn has formed simple majority as at 6.30pm.
2/3 in hand.

BN LEADING : Muhyiddin: Don't Listen To Rumours Opposition Has Won

KUCHING, April 16 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has asked the people of Sarawak not to listen to rumours that the Opposition has won Saturday's state polls.
Muhyiddin said the rumours spread on the Internet were not true as voting would only be over at 5pm.
"There are rumours going around that Sarawak Barisan Nasional has lost and that the opposition will take over the state government.
"This is a lie...voting is still going on...votes have yet to be counted," he told a press conference at the Sarawak police headquarters here.
Instead, Muhyiddin said, he had received information that Opposition leader and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had left Sarawak to either London or the United States.
If he has won, obviously he will be around until the end (of polling day). Why has he left Sarawak so early.
"Anwar has delegated his duties to his polling chiefs purportedly because he is afraid something might happen," he said, adding that the rumours were the work of "desperate people".
"We have two more hours to go (before polling ends)...I urge the people not to be influenced by these rumours," he said.
He said these rumours spread by the opposition were cyber-warfare using reverse psychology to confuse voters.
"This is a dirty and desperate tactic. No official statements have been made but they already want to be ahead of the Election Commission," he said.
On the voting process, the deputy prime minister said voter turnout was good but hoped more would cast their ballots before polling closed.
"At longhouses... many voters came early to vote. As such, I hope the BN machinery will bring more people to vote," he said.
He said that many constituencies were seeing higher voter turnouts with the majority of voters in support of BN.
Opposition parties like PKR and PAS had no support in Sarawak whereas the DAP only in a few urban areas, he said.
"They have to import supporters from other areas...and they bring along thugs. Locals do not like this because they have been living in peace and harmony," he added.

tunku : it is just a cyber-warfare using reverse psychology to confuse voters.they don't want bn supporters to go out and vote.that's all. latest info i received is that BN had won 36seats, enough to form a simple majority government as at 5.30pm.

Violet Yong : Why should the Melanau only rule Sarawak?

Rais Criticizes Ucapan Rasis Violet Yong

MIRI, April 15 (Bernama) -- Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim Friday criticised the DAP candidate for Pending, Violet Yong, who was said to have delivered a speech with racial undertone while campaigning.
He said Malaysians should not raise racial sentiments even though they were desperate to gain votes from a particular race.
"We will have the impression that Violet is prejudiced and all sincere Malaysians in Sarawak should also do away with such prejudice for the sake of the Land of the Hornbills and for the sake of our future harmony," he told reporters after having lunch, here.
Violet's statement at a closed-door function was quoted by the blog 'mukapetang.blogspot' in Hokkien which was translated as "why should the Melanau only rule Sarawak?"
However, he was convinced that the Chinese community would not be easily influenced by the speech and would vote wisely in the 10th Sarawak state election Saturday.

tunku : dap always a racist party. on top they show they are not racist but under the roof they are the biggest racist.
